    I woulda just swapped the overlay on the cluster, so you kept your mileage etc, easy enough job to do.

    What did you do to set the miles correctly on the new gauge cluster

      I just came across this video, I was planning on doing the same to my car, I assume the mileage is stored on the ecu. From what I’ve seen in Forscan there is no way to change mileage so it’s just a plug and play situation 🤯

      Mileage can be udjusted up but not down

      The program you’ll need is FOCCUS . As forscan doesn’t have it from what I hear. As mentioned you can’t only make
      Miles go up on a cluster not roll back. Ford can do it as they charge a $300
      Core charge if you purchase a new Cluster from dealership

    did you try to lower the millage using forscan or is it a way for lowring the millage as i bought a one like this which is more than mine 20k miles

      Nope not at all. The memory ia stored on the board.

    how do you lower the millage? do you have to do it yourself or does it update on its own?

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  9 месяцев назад

      Per federal regulation you cannot go back... but you can add miles. Also multiple locations on the car store mileage data.

      @@FocusedHands i wanna buy a new gauge cluster that has 250k km on it, while mine has 155k km and i need to wanna lower that one from 250k to 155k

      @@kiddo4765 you would have to find 1 that has lower mileage then the 1 you have. After that, you could use forscan to update to the correct mileage

    Hi You don't have a theft problem when switch the cluster?

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  2 года назад

      Na no immobilizer switches in the cluster. The ignition would cause a theft problem though

    Where did you get it? eBay? I have the 2012 will it give me the digital speedometer?

    • @FocusedHands
      @FocusedHands  2 года назад +1

      Not sure if it would work in a 2012. Easy test would be to find a junk yard and pull it. I think i read somewhere though that people with the earlier models were able to swap in 2015+ parts.

      My Focus is a 2016.. ive so done this on my 2005 Focus. No programming needed. Now if you are changing wheel size say 16 to 17 or 17 to 18 etc... that will need to be programmed into the ecu.
