When the US and its western allies keep on spreading the misinformation, propaganda, about the genocidal campaign against the nation’s ethnic Uyghur population is a BIG FAT lie. It has been known, often, those videos from those so-called investigation journalists and often disguises as a tourist were staged the interview and paid to the person or persons who interviewed and put in the videos. So that the investigation journalists got exactly what they wanted in order to support their biased one-sided reporting journalism. Often the journalists would paid the interviewer from $500 to $1000 Renminbi; if that person in the video can show more emotional then would received more money. The whole damn video interview was staged and paid for by the journalist. Fact in point if there is really a genocidal campaign against the nation’s ethnic Uyghur population in Xinjiang, then how the hell you can explain the fact in the decade to 2020, the population of China’s ethnic minorities grew 10.3 per cent, while the Han majority expanded at just below 5 per cent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Last year, Han people accounted for 91 per cent of China’s 1.412 billion people. In any genocidal campaign the population should always keep on reducing and eventually down to a very significant in size or even down to nothing at all. As in the US, the Native American Indian was genocides by the US government during over two hundred years ago. The total American India tribes were reduced from several thousands to only few hundreds as nowadays. And this is what we called the genocidal campaign by the U S government to the Native American Indians. If you believe those video made by those investigating journalists you might as well believe that is a $3 US dollars bill in the US currency.

I have talked to many Uyghurs in Xinjiang, hundreds and not once was I told there was a genocide. The first time I asked, I was literally laughed at for believing in such non-sense. I was then lectured about how American propaganda nearly wiped out family owned cotton farms and that regular Uyghurs couldn't find jobs because companies did not want to be accused of using slave labor. You would think an oppressed people would be rushing to any foreigner to get their stores told to the world or that there would be refugee camps in and around Asia, but none of that exists, Why?
Criticism of what is happening in other areas, such as Palestine, does not hide the forced expropriation of Uyghurs by China. Ironically, China accuses the Nanking Incident of being a horrific event without any evidence, but claims that it is a fabrication with regard to the Uyghurs and a hoax despite the fact that there is plenty of evidence about the Uyghurs, including leaked police files. The reports of genocide in Xinjiang always seemed stupid to me. 1) To lock down 12M+ Uyghurs and 8M other residents of the region to the point of genocide, you would probably need 500k+ soldiers. Possibly 1M soldiers since the residents are so spread out. The entire ground army of the PLA is about 1M soldiers. Nobody seriously thinks the PLA is keeping half or more of their ground army in Xinjiang. Even if the PLA had that many soldiers stationed there, they would have to build massive supply centers and have huge amounts of truck traffic to feed all the soldiers plus the millions of people supposedly locked up. We don't see anywhere near the amount of truck traffic and other logistics necessary to maintain anything approaching a genocide. 2) If millions of Uyghurs were locked up, they would be disproportionately the 18-54 demographic since they are the most likely to cause trouble. Taking that many workers out of the economy would mean that you simply don't have an economy. Russia has lost about 2M out of a population of 144M due to emigration and conscription in their military. And Russia already has severe labor shortages. 1-2 million Uyghurs would be the equivalent of 30-60M Americans of prime working age being locked up. We wouldn't have an economy at all. Instead, Xinjiang's economy is steadily growing. 3) A people being genocided would either fight back fiercely or flee. We see that in Ukraine and with the Rohingya in Myanmar or with the Palestinians in Gaza. We don't see any large scale refugee movements to neighboring countries like Kazakhstan even though the borders are massive. 4) In all cases where genocide is occurring, collaborators are hated and often killed. Yet Uyghurs have a massive presence in the Chinese entertainment industry. A Uyghur actress, Dilraba Dilmurat is the most popular and highest paid actress in all of China. Instead of being hated, Dilraba and other entertainers like Guli Nazha are just as popular in their home region as they are in the rest of China instead of being viewed as collaborators. 5) If Uyghurs were being genocided, China wouldn't have any friendly relations with their neighbors in the area. Instead, China is forging many relations with them and Chinese tourists are welcome there. 6) If Uyghurs were being genocided, there wouldn't be tens of millions of tourists visiting Xinjiang. These tourists don't just visit the cities. They visit the villages and fields as well. They bike or hike around as well as more traditional means of transportation. It would be impossible to hide the soldiers, truck traffic, supply dumps, and massive concentration camps needed for a genocide.
What about the actual Uyghur victims who share their torture and experience. Are they lying?. Even if china did this, it will not effect it's relations with other countries as they won't do anything that will be bad for their country.

Our goverment taught the locals to be as a chinese, send them to schools so that they can not be easily brain washed by the terrorists. Especially the schools gave them skills to make a living ,rather than killing. what's wrong with that? There may have some tragic stories happened as recorded(although the woman looked pitiful, she and her family may have done some terrible stuff to other ppl . who knows? The journalist may never ask and she may never tell.that's what western propaganda always do) , but the good side definitely outweighted the bad side. the locals can speak their mother tongue, have their own religion, just not to be extremists. Imagine massacre targeting some race happened in your country, what your government would do about it? To be honest, i think you may never empathize with us, cause there's no such a large country in the world like china with so many people and so many peoples.
To give some more context, the Uyghur also were being fed misinformation or deliberately being fed views to encourage killing non-Muslims from Western social media platforms like Facebook. Its why there was such a peak of violence including several ethnic riots in Xinjiang around 2009 that led to innocent people being essentially lynched by mobs of people then leading to several other terrorists incidents in China. The beliefs were along the same lines of Islamic Extremism as groups like ISIS, and the US state department even labelled the East Turkestan movement as a terrorist group (when it was geopolitically convenient and before they became a proper CIA astroturf grass roots movement that is) Its also why Facebook got banned in China in 2009.
This legitmately makes me cry. Seeing millions of people be placed into concentration camps is enough to make anyone sick, but to have video proof of children of all ages being brainwashed into a mindless drones in these camps is nothing short of heart shattering.

if anyones wondering what the situation is like almost 5 years later; I visited xinjiang to visit my grandparents just a month ago, and it seems that covid has pretty much obliterated all the police in the area. when I visited in 2019, the highway security checkpoints were almost like clearing international airport security and customs, but now you don't even have to get out your vehicle. there are also way less police everywhere and the CCP seems to be taking a different turn with the region, tourism. the flight I was on from Beijing to urumqi was over 90% tourist groups and so many cities in xinjiang have been transformed into tourist hotspots.

Towerofbauer - I see you skipped your history lessons, so here’s a brief one: The west only revolutionized within the past 300 years or so, before that the Islamic empire was the symbol of human advancement. Europe was plunged in the dark and Middle Ages. Dieseas and unhygienic conditions were widespread . The church conducting horrific experiments, overall Europe was pretty backwards. However the Islamic empire was consistently making advancements in medicine, astronomy, mathematics and science which without Newton and Galleleo may not have made their advancements and many of the things you know of today may not have existed. Combine this with centralized and humane laws, good courts and a good economy and you got yourself the most developed empire in the world at that time. At the time did the muslims blame all christians as backwards because the church was? NO. Unlike society nowadays they helped them. Islamic scholars spread their ideologies to the west and kickstarted its advancement. It’s a shame that this advancement ceased to exist after the empire got sucked into wars after which all this ended.
I'm from Germany and my Grandma often told me stories about Hitler and his regime. This reminds me a lot of her stories. She once told me that her neighbour's kid was being taken in the middle of the night, because the kid was handicapped. The Nazis told them, that she'll get treated because of her condition, but she never returned. My grandma told me, that everybody knew what was really going on, but everybody was too afraid to talk about it. My greatgrandpa once spoke out against Hitler and he was also "taken care of". The nazis took him in, and they experimented on him. After the regime fell, he returned home, but because of the experiments he couldn't move or speak anymore. I somehow understand why people are afraid and don't speak up but I really hope that China doesn't make the same mistake like my country

Disclaimer: The below source contain bloody photo of civilians corpses, shred from the explosion by suicide bombers. "How do the Chinese people feel about Xinjiang reeducation camps" ? Roma Hudson: We'll feel safe First of all, I need to explain that I know a lot of information about Xinjiang re education camp and have watched the reports of BBC and New York Times. I haven't received brainwashing, which is often a misunderstanding of the Chinese people in other countries. First of all, the same event, when you use a different perspective to explain it, will have a completely different impact. The following news reports about many violent attacks in Xinjiang. All of these incidents happened before the construction of the education camp. May 22, 2014: an explosion occurred in the morning market of Gongyuan North Street, saybak District, Urumqi, which is a serious violent terrorist case of extremely bad nature. It is preliminarily understood that at about 7:50 on May 22, the mob drove two vehicles to break through the protective fence, smashed and crushed the crowd, detonated the explosive device, killing 31 people and injuring 94. 2014-5-1: an explosion occurred in the South Station of Urumqi railway, which was a serious violent terrorist attack. The mob held a knife to kill the people at the pick-up place at the exit of the South Station of Urumqi railway, and detonated the explosive device at the same time, causing 3 deaths and 79 injuries, including 4 serious injuries. March 1, 2014: 29 people were killed and 130 relatives were injured in a serious terrorist incident at Kunming railway station. More than 10 uniformed thugs, wearing masks and knives, killed innocent people in Kunming Railway Station Square, ticket office and other places. 2014-02-14: two people and seven policemen were injured in a police attack in Wushi County, Xinjiang. Eight people were killed and one was arrested by the police. Three suspects were killed in a suicide bombing at the time of the crime. January 24, 2014: an explosion occurred in a beauty salon and a vegetable market in Xinhe County, Aksu District, Xinjiang, killing one person and injuring two others. The public security officials quickly sent out police to deal with the situation and arrested three suspects. During the containment of a suspicious vehicle, the vehicle exploded and two people were killed. On January 26, the public security officials were attacked by rioters throwing explosive devices in the process of handling the violent terrorist cases in Xinhe County on January 24. Police killed 6 rioters and captured 5. 6 rioters died of self explosion when they committed crimes. One police officer was slightly injured and no casualties were found. A batch of explosive devices and crime tools were seized. On December 30, the Public Security Bureau of Shache County in Kashgar region of Xinjiang was attacked by violence and terrorism. Nine violent terrorists attacked with machetes, threw explosive devices and set fire to police cars. Police decisively dealt with it, killing 8 people and catching 1. On December 25, the "12.15" terrorist attacks in Shufu County, Xinjiang At about 23:00 on December 15, when the police of Shufu County Public Security Bureau in Kashi District of Xinjiang arrested the criminal suspect in saybage Township, several mobs threw explosive devices and attacked with machetes, resulting in the death of two police officers. Police have decisively dealt with it, killing 14 rioters. They have arrested 6 suspects and seized a batch of explosive devices, self-made guns, knives, etc. According to the preliminary determination of the police, the "12.15" case of Shufu County in Kashgar, Xinjiang is an organized and premeditated violent terrorist attack. Since August this year, a terrorist gang with 20 members has gradually formed, led by Aishan Simayi. The group has gathered for many times to watch violent and terrorist videos, publicize religious extremist ideas, manufacture explosive devices and guns, conduct trial explosions several times, and premeditate violent and terrorist activities. On November 16, police station in Selibuya Town, Bachu county was attacked At about 17:30 on November 16, 2013, nine thugs, including abraahiti, attacked the police station in Selibuya Town, Bachu county with swords and axes, resulting in the death of two policemen. Besides these, there are hundreds more. It can be said that these violent terrorist attacks led to the destruction of local people's lives in Xinjiang. I have to mention two major terrorist attacks. These two things have changed the whole Chinese view of Xinjiang. 1.July 5, 2009 serious violence in Urumqi Urumqi is the capital of Xinjiang. It was a peaceful day. But many Uighurs began to march on the streets, and then began to kill people and make fire. Even the old people who took the bus to the park for a walk were not spared. This is a photo recorded by passers-by with mobile phone. The mob did no difference to innocent civilians The violence killed 197 people, 1721 people were injured. most of them Han. A large number of Han shops were robbed and cars burned down. I once watched a video that the western media never published: those violent people cut at the sight of people, blood flowed on the ground, and then the army came, and they still rushed forward, until the army fired in order to prevent the self-defense warning, they were shot to the ground. I've experienced Tibetan riots, and I know the horror of religious fanatics losing their think. I used to have a little bit of hope for them until it happened. 2.March 1, 2014: terrorist attack on Kunming Railway Station The capital city, which is 4100 kilometers away by train, is a complex railway station where every civilian has been destroyed. The mob carries a pig killing knife. When he sees someone, he will cut it. (this is exactly the same way as the genocide in Rwanda)The terrorist attack killed 31 people and injured 141. Kunming citizens are praying. The slogan means: don't cry in Kunming Every Chinese is afraid. Because terrorism has gone out of Xinjiang. Even if they are far away, they will still happen. And all people are afraid of their actions, because they kill people indiscriminately and without reason at all. As a result, almost all citizens choose to support the government to take a stronger approach. At the same time, through this incident, I have known the double standards of Western media. On the left is the Kunming terrorist attack and on the right is the London terrorist attack on May 22, 2013. Xinjiang people are flooded with terrorism. They have received training from Al Qaeda. Most terrorists are only finish the junior high school. They are easy to be incited and kill indiscriminately. Western media ignored the problem. But it still exists, and if it is not solved, more people will die in the future. So China has set up a transformation camp. The idea was put forward by the team of Chen Quanguo, a former governor of Tibet. There were frequent violent attacks in Tibet, but he managed it successfully. The education camp has new and good facilities. They can play basketball and watch movies. In the BBC Documentary, we can see their national dance performances. The government provides them with job training and ideological education to prevent them from being affected by extremism again. Even after visiting the education camp, many Islamic ambassadors expressed their support for China. Only the West has been opposed. I don't deny the problems in the re education camp. If you want to ask me if I have been mistreated, I think there will be, after all, the contradictions among ethnic groups have been intensified. But this is not officially allowed, and abusive managers will be severely punished. The Chinese government does not want to deepen the hatred among nations again. At the same time, these education camps cost a lot of taxpayer money and created a high-pressure atmosphere in Xinjiang. But it's all bitter. We need to swallow it. I don't know if these camps will work in the long run. I think Chinese government officials still need to improve their policies and attitudes and improve their relations with Uighurs. But like most Chinese, I still support the re education camp. When the whole region is in violence, only this measure of the government can protect my safety. I don't want to be cut to death when I go out to eat one day, which happened every day in Xinjiang. In addition, at least until August 2019, Xinjiang has not had a terrorist attack in 23 months. I believe that security as a law-abiding citizen is more important than the human rights of terrorists.

Brown University’s Costs of War Project this month released a new estimate of the total death toll from the U.S. wars in three countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The numbers, while conservatively estimated, are staggering. Brown’s researchers estimate that at least 480,000 people have been directly killed by violence over the course of these conflicts, more than 244,000 of them civilians. In addition to those killed by direct acts violence, the number of indirect deaths - those resulting from disease, displacement, and the loss of critical infrastructure - is believed to be several times higher, running into the millions.

Actually going to the Uyghurs does not prove that there is no incarceration.

@@Jetsetfastfood Yes they hate the west but wow they sure want to go there.
Even if china did this, it will not effect it's relations with other countries as they won't do anything that will be bad for their country.

when i worked in Urumqi Xinjiang in 2016, my colleague told me not to travel southern part of xinjiang. such as kashgar and hotan. because it's very dangerous for the han chinese . Many locals were so poor ,undereducated and brain washed by the separatists supported by foreign countries. They were hostile to the han chinese. that's why the government wanted to reeducate them. we han chinese ppl are also ppl, why should we have to risk our lives just travelling in my own country? Do you guys know about the massacre against han chinese in xinjiang and yunnan ? you just know one side of the story. No one 's willing to figure out the real reason why there are so many police on the street.

The beliefs were along the same lines of Islamic Extremism as groups like ISIS, and the US state department even labelled the East Turkestan movement as a terrorist group (when it was geopolitically convenient and before they became a proper CIA astroturf grass roots movement that is)

Your delusional and have just shown your level of education and ability for basic reasoning and logic.
Flouride Productions literally has been friction between the west and Islam since Islam began. All of Europe thought Islam was bad

If journalism is all about adding your own emotions and opinions, as you do, it should be called storytelling
its just a blog
Bread in a Box your comparison has no merit. The Nazis don’t care who they hurt. In this case, the targeted are potential terrorists. And FYI, they are not killed here. They are being deradicalised and given skills training and education so that they can find jobs and have better lives.

"How do the Chinese people feel about Xinjiang reeducation camps" ?
Roma Hudson: We'll feel safe
First of all, I need to explain that I know a lot of information about Xinjiang re education camp and have watched the reports of BBC and New York Times.
On December 25, the "12.15" terrorist attacks in Shufu County, Xinjiang
At about 23:00 on December 15, when the police of Shufu County Public Security Bureau in Kashi District of Xinjiang arrested the criminal suspect in saybage Township, several mobs threw explosive devices and attacked with machetes, resulting in the death of two police officers.
On November 16, police station in Selibuya Town, Bachu county was attacked
At about 17:30 on November 16, 2013, nine thugs, including abraahiti, attacked the police station in Selibuya Town, Bachu county with swords and axes, resulting in the death of two policemen.
Besides these, there are hundreds more. It can be said that these violent terrorist attacks led to the destruction of local people's lives in Xinjiang.
I have to mention two major terrorist attacks. These two things have changed the whole Chinese view of Xinjiang.
1.July 5, 2009 serious violence in Urumqi
Urumqi is the capital of Xinjiang. It was a peaceful day. But many Uighurs began to march on the streets, and then began to kill people and make fire. Even the old people who took the bus to the park for a walk were not spared.
This is a photo recorded by passers-by with mobile phone. The mob did no difference to innocent civilians
The violence killed 197 people, 1721 people were injured. most of them Han.
2.March 1, 2014: terrorist attack on Kunming Railway Station
The capital city, which is 4100 kilometers away by train, is a complex railway station where every civilian has been destroyed. The mob carries a pig killing knife. When he sees someone, he will cut it. (this is exactly the same way as the genocide in Rwanda)The terrorist attack killed 31 people and injured 141.
Kunming citizens are praying. The slogan means: don't cry in Kunming
Every Chinese is afraid.

Speaking of killing, what's your opinion on the war on terrors by the US? It still raging on for 19 years as we speak. And the Muslim civilian deaths are over millions. Do you prefer bombing campaign or none violence re-education camps? And I quote.
