Champion is what is recommended for dodge engines. Considering it’s a dodge, it would make sense that it gets champion plugs, but it’s a fiat motor so, NGK it is.
I just changed mine and had some oil in each one. A small amount may be normal on these engines. You dont need to unplug the coil packs. They can be removed without disconnecting. I am curious how you got the coil pack connector off though. I tried but thought I may break it. One tip, if you dont have a spark plug socket, use a small piece of a blue shop towel and stuff it inside the socket. This will hold the plug in the socket.
I find it hard to believe that he said he's never heard of Champion spark plugs it really makes me question whether he knows really what he's doing he seems to know how to change them but it's hard like I said that he doesn't know those spark plugs is common as they are
Pretty obvious he doesn't know what he's talking about, he called the 5/8 socket a 5×18 socket, and has 0 clue how to read plugs, the best looking one he said was a concern, he's concerned about oil on the porcelain of the plug, and not knowing Champion is crazy. This is extremely basic stuff he's getting wrong.
I know this is delayed but what we found to be the solution was actually changing out the coil packs. Fixed the sputtering issue. Do make sure if you do change the coilpacks to change the sparkplugs at the same time as well for optimum results :]
My dart has been nothing but trouble had it 5 years and had to replace so much stuff and now my engine is spudering and having trouble starting did the spark plugs fix the problem for yours?

With my dart I burn about 25% of my oil through a full cycle (5,000 Miles) It's a good rule of thumb to make sure you have a quart in your trunk of oil you used just in case you do some heavy driving, check the oil level and then add whats needed when getting close to the 5,000 mile mark :]
My thoughts exactly. I assumed it was a tongue-in-cheek comment. For @Desert Octane, here's some history from my visit to Toledo in 2013. metroparkstoledo.com/features-and-rentals/the-manor-house/ "Founders of Champion Spark Plug Company, brothers R.A. and F.D. Stranahan became wealthy beyond their greatest imagination and then used their money and influence to help see Toledo and the nation through the troubling times of the Great Depression and World War II. R.A. Stranahan’s impressive mansion and sprawling estate, now Wildwood Preserve, stand as a testament to the great business success the brothers enjoyed."
And Champion is the OE spark plug for that motor. HOwever I would NOT use a Champion plug on any street car. Overall poor construction, especially on resistor plugs.
Did these come gapped I have the same exact plugs and car and was about to change them I just don’t have a gapping tool but it says they come pre gapped
Dude… it’s what the shops tell them to do. I’m thinking the best bet for diagnosing this car would be to call a mechanic that lives in Europe. They stump American mechanics.
Wicked helpful; it's rare to find any videos about the 13' 1.4l turbos

Why didn't you show how to release the yellow tabs for the wire on the coil pac?
Thanks a lot for this man! Changing the plugs in my 1.4 today and wanted to make sure I did it right
I've used 0w.40 car loves it along with all the lovely maintenance done by myself
Awesome brother, way cheaper doing it ourselves than a mechanic
Much much cheaper :D

@@groverracing33 I thought the same thing. Every Lawn mower takes one champion plug haha
And you NEVER drop a spark plug down through the head the way he did. The likelihood or bending (closing) the ground electrode are high.
Sweet big relief. I'll change the plugs and see if that fixes it. Thanks

Were gonna go ahead and go ahead to go ahead and go ahead..... lol just fuckin with ya buddy. Good video. Go ahead and make more
Great video. Thanks Man
I have the same car and same problem. Did it fix the problem while picking up speed?

Thanks for the vid. Getting ready to change plugs in a similar 2013. Just curious, does everyone else burn a lot of oil in these engines?

All those tools but you must not have much experience because Champion has been around for a long long.....lonnnnng time 🤷🏼♂️

@@ViggenCv Wow, thanks for the info! I never knew that 🤙🏼

So far I’ve never had to mess with adjusting the gap for this car with these ngk sparkplugs
Where did you get those spark plugs from? Did you order them or can you find them locally? I’m at 83k and mine are stick stock plugs :(
Check the the description we added a link for the ones used :] just make sure to check the gap and make sure it's what your engine calls for.
Hey thanks for the video I had the same problem💯
Did it fix the sputter?
I did not, we found the root cause to the sputtering was due to a faulty boost solenoid, replacing that took care of the sputtering.
So you replaced ur motor and transmission... And just needed spark plugs....

I have this exact limited ed car. I’m selling it now if anyone’s interested! 🤙🏻😎🤙🏻
