This works but YOU CAN'T USE THE CHARGING CABLE provided with the PS4 Controller...stupid I know. You HAVE to use a USB data transfer cable. If this isn't working for you, try an actual data USB cable - I was pulling may hair out and thought I had a defective controller until I used the right cable - THANKS to others here who mentioned it!!

if all else doesn't work i wouold recommend holding the playstation button & option at the same time then go to devices, then bluetooth devices, there should be a new dual shock so click on it i hope this helped someone comment undermine if it did, stay blessed.

If this does not work you might need to unplug the whole ps4, though it is risk. Usually for my ps4 whenever I’m downloading a game my controller does this.

Make sure you are using a data usb cable and not a charging only cable. 2 hours I spent trying to reconnect my controller after pairing it with a kindle.

The issue could be the blue ribbon cable that connects from the light to the controller. The contacts on the ribbon cable can be damaged and it won’t connect if they are. Ribbon cables are cheap and it’s an easy fix

Found the solution. Make sure u have 2 controllers, 1 working and the 2nd one is the one who cant sinc. Go to the bluetooth device option on Ps4 delete the malfunction dulshuck 4 controller and DO NOT delete the working one. after u deleted the malfunctioning one press the ps button and the share button on the one that dosent work, wait for the system to recognise the device and connect. Simple but some reason no one explains it
