When we were kids, Mom made this for us on Sunday as a dessert. She made it in a huge mixing bowl. Our bananas came from the back yard. Coconut was added on top. The coconut came from the backyard. I have the scars to prove it too! Thanks for the fun video!

My mom use to fix hers like this but she put a topping made with egg whites, sugar and vanilla extract. Then she put in oven to Brown topping. It was so so good.

I really appreciate you making your own custard! My mother always made her own custard ( from scratch) in a double boiler... award winning deeeelicious!!! I can’t stand the taste or look of those boxed pudding banana puddings.

It looks delicious and i cant believe you actually made it the way my grandma made it when i was little. She never put cool whip in the mixture or on the top of the pudding when it was ready she simply made it from scratch exactly the way you do in your video. I like your way of making it alot better than other videos I've watched on it, especially with your egg yolks; you don't "temper" them at all!... I like that 👍 The only thing I do different, is I make my own whipped cream, with powdered sugar & Marscopone Cheese😉 Super Yummy 😊TY for sharing ❤️

The evaporated milk you using is that a 12 oz can and would you also consider this recipe you making as a personal size banana pudding. Because if it is then this is just what I am looking for. I’m using a regular 12 oz can of evaporated milk depending on the brand of your milk. This can be a personal size. Thanks for your love and support. Stay safe as well. I like mines thick too. Looks yummy delicious. Now this homemade banana pudding. Go head Ms. Brenda. Not the banana pudding where you just buy the boxed pudding. and Cool whip and the vanilla wafers and bananas. I like the homemade better. Ms. Brenda you be getting down. Go head on.
I like the egg whites at the top of mines and then place in the oven under the broiler and let it brown a little so good. Still good without that step too.
