I made this for a work luncheon and now I’m stuck!!!! EVERYBODY is telling me that I’m only allowed to bring the dessert, banana pudding!!! Recently we had a Halloween party and I signed up for cookies, they scratched out cookies and wrote Banana Pudding next to my name!!!! I appreciate you Mrs Gina ❤
I put my cookies in the oven for about 15 seconds. Take them out to cool down. It keeps the cookies nice and crunchy. They don't be soggy after a couple of days.
Five years later and this video is still a one hit wonder. I made this recipe several times and each time the banana pudding tastes better and better! I even won a competition at my job once for how amazing this tasted. Thank you for teaching us this recipe. Thank you for also making cooking easy. Without having people feel like they need the most up to date cooking utensil’s.

It’s 2022, and Thanksgiving is coming up. I made banana pudding with my grandmother all the time when I was younger, she now has to dementia so I lost a part of her, but watching this made me smiled and reminded me of her. You have such a comforting and welcoming voice, that’s exactly is a southern woman. I love this video so much!! 😢💖
I make mine similar to this I just use two packages of pudding the vanilla and the banana cream (3.5 oz box). I also add 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz) and I switched out 1 cup of milk with 1 can of sweetened condensed milk(14oz) and I added a tsp of vanilla extract. I folded half of my cool whip (8 oz)in with the pudding mixture and put the rest on top for decoration and sprinkled some of the wafer crumbs on top of that.......I love your cooking and I tried your way of making banana pudding and it was great. If you ever make yours like I do I think you’ll love it. Thanks for sharing your recipes with us ❤️❤️❤️
I bet the sweetened condensed milk adds a nice flavor too. I make almond joy cookies with it as it only calls for 4 ingredients. Must try yours as well. Thanks for sharing.
My grandmother cooked what is called traditional banana pudding, which my niece learned by watching but when she tried the instant jello pudding she was so happy because now she has more time to cook other homemade meals. Point is the family enjoyed both.

well its not really cooking when you can get the banana and the pudding already made for you, you just need to assemble the actual dessert , so its not really cooking.

This 'naner pudding recipe is good in a rush. My aunt made hers this way. My mom, and maternal grandmother always made their own homemade cooked custard for 'naner pudding. My paternal grandmother not only made her own custard, she made old fashioned tea cakes to use for the wafers! Talk about old time Southern pudding, I've had it!!
My mother showed me long time ago how to make old fashion banana pudding with whole milk in the can and 3 eggs whipped up with sugar pour on top and then brown in the oven good wow lol

I know its easier to use the instant pudding mix, but I find I like it better with the pudding you cook on the stove. That's how my Mom always made it.

OKAYYYYYY !!! Made a big batch of this last night to bring for 4th of July party today. 🇺🇸 It was DEVOURED!!! I can’t remember the last time I brought a dish to a party that had so many compliments. Many people went back for 3rd and 4th plates. My boyfriend says I HAVE to make this again this weekend ❤ The only thing I did differently was I crumbled up some nilla wafers (smashed them in a bowl) And put some as the base layer, then whole wafers on top of that and also put the crumbles on the very top for decoration and to make it fancy! Also used some whipped cream in the can to make it look fancy on top too. Love love love! Thanks so much for sharing this. Would you recommend putting a dash of vanilla extract into the pudding mix. I've found when just making vanilla or a French vanilla, it ups the flavor just a bit.

Hi Gina 😊. Oh the Cool whip is a wonderful idea 🤩💡. I make mine the same only difference is I turn the cookies upsidedown, it keeps the bananas from sliding off. I turn them right side up for the topping. I also make a moraine with egg whites, powdered sugar and cream of tartar. Thank you for the show. Luv Karen

I always make my filling from scratch using evaporated milk mixed with an equal amount of whole milk, eggs, vanilla and sugar to taste. Whipping that up and adding cornstarch for thickening and cooking it to the desired to thickness while stirring. it's more work but taste so much better than using the boxed filling. 🤗
