Something about the menacing, cruel happiness just makes this whole. The portentous first piano chord got me, and me as a knowing audience can enjoy it just as sadistically as Alastor himself. I also love how you bring in a little history on Husker's partnership with Al. He is just as trapped as the people he is supposed to convince will be, and the reason Husker is a great pick for the job is he doesn't care enough to make a big effort to protect the unknown prey. Along with the catchy jazz tunes- you did it again!
Also I think the one he is making a deal with is Vox, and in Vox's song he says he "killed the radio" and radio is in red, and then starts the next line with "they will see". This makes me think Valentino and Alastor either are enemies or are partners and have made a deal with each other. So I think Val and Alastor are competing for Hell's audience. Alastor wants people to be entertained by the radio, while Val uses Vox to broadcast his product. Vox is a modern way of broadcasting that makes the radio useless. So radios are being replaced by TVs in Hell. Which is what Val wants and the opposite of what Alastor wants.
The vocabulary Al use is also a part of the character, he use some old words and talk in a way with no insult ect, he's just too polie for hell xD ( I'm sorry for some mistakes, English isn't my native language ^^")

Not only is the story amazing but the lyrics and instrumental are such an earworm. I know this will be living rent free in my brain for quite a while and I'm alright with that.
Hey everyone! To all of you who've helped to push this project past THREE MILLION views (how?!), you have my biggest thanks and gratitude. Having a chance to create music in the worlds we love, especially around characters that are as memorable as Alastor, has been a joy to be able to do as a career for nearly three years now and I couldn't do it without any of you or the creative minds that give us such great source material to work with. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. And keep smiling!
I can see you've poured your heart and soul into this. It warms my crushed, lifeless yet somehow still beating? heart to see a fellow creative do what they love and get that hard earned and even harder fought and even rarer still fulfilment out of it
I have a bad feeling that being picked up by an official service will actually doom the show... To hell in fact. Then the FANS will have to revive it themselves.. Actually I could see something akin to TeamFourStar, but less of an abridged series, more of a fandub of the show tbh.
Okay here we go, I’ve heard a Disney worthy track before in Change The Order. This tops that one by a lot, and it also makes Alastor’s character seem like an evil genie which is exactly what I thought of him in the Hazbin Hotel pilot. In other words you managed to capture Viv’s vision for Alastor perfectly, even the inclusion of Husk basically knowing all the ins and outs of how Alastor’s deals work is a detailed that I wasn’t sure of before, but going back to the pilot, it’s definitely there. This is Pixar level production here and I love it, keep up the amazing work.
OUT. STAN. DING. Another fantastic original song to add to the bag! The tune is so catchy! I know this will be stuck in my head for a long time! Perfect beat for a showman like Alastor! I can almost picture something like this happening in an episode! And adding Husk makes it all the more interesting! He doesn't even bother trying to convince the sinner to say no, he just says to get it over with so he can go back to drinking. I also love how Al just gets straight to the point. "Here's the deal, I grant you a favor, you answer my calls whenever and wherever, and I'll be there to collect your soul once you finally fall." Bravo, DJ! Brilliant as always!!
It also seems like he doesn’t really think highly at all of the poor unfortunate souls he manages to con into his servitude. They just happen to have something to ease up a short term goal that just piqued his interest, and only keeps them around cuz he’s an egotistical sadist who only wants to own peoples souls just because he gets his asexual rocks off making people cater to his every whim knowing that they hate it, but do so knowing full well they have no other choice. The deal itself, whatever the angle is, personal, financial, social, is just the expedient to him.
This is rent-free in my head as Alastor's voice. Fits him SO well. I also can't unsee him side-sway dancing with a walking stick as Husker grumps, and doing a tapshoe-style routine for the rest of the song. I just can't unsee it.
I swear- The Hazbin Hotel fandom is in a whole other level of creativity!✨ It's crazy, and this person is one of the biggest source of the lot! Now I'm going to be jamming this all day :)
Okay like, what the fuck. How have you nailed every original song?? This is /everything/ I imagine al to make a song about! The beat, the style, the smiles- and pulling in husk was absoulte genius! The only thing I could take any issue with is husk's voice being a bit smoother than expected, but singing in that would be rough and his voice hurts after long enough of speaking in it. Gonna add this to my alastor song list..
Oh man I can just imagine a Disney-esque dancing number with all the souls and shadows he's collected just going about and putting up a show to throw off this guy into signing the contract! amazing job DJ!
0:30 something tells me that Alastor was probably spying on the man because there is no way he just conveniently was just there. He probably was stalking the man and plotting won the right time to make a deal with him
I would propose an agreement over a deal Ill help you if you help me but neither side is obligated to do so. Its beneficial to both sides while requiring no commitment (yes that means you cant force someone to do something they don't want to do which is probably the whole point of making deals in the first place. But as history has shown, get people to believe in you enough and they will do anything for you.)
Yet another FANTASTIC song! Seriously, you knock these out of the park every time! I'm so glad I finally got to make it to a premiere! I was bopping my head!! It's so delightfully jazzy and yet with just the right unsettling undertones. Just like Alastor! AND THE HUSK VERSE WOW! Just an incredible delight. I was certainly smiling and I meant it!
theres nothing illegal abt it... and you won't wait as long as some of us have. I've waited almost a year and am dying, I can't imagine what it's like for those who have been here since the beginning. It must be amazing not to wait as long.
2:53 I LOVE Alastor's and Husk's dynamic in this! I hope we will have a lot of scenes of them together when the show comes around ^^ great job as always, DJ!
I love the way this represents Alastor, with his style and choice of words, as well as showing how charming he is, all to trick them into making a deal with him. + Husk saying "Aw, shit, here we go..." is hillarious
I know this is an Alastor song, but I absolutely love the singing voice you came up with for Husk. That grumpy old kitty cat is my favorite character in the entire Hazbin Hotel fandom. 💞
If "We'll meet again" and "Insane" were good, this is gonna be fuckin lit. Edit: As the comments have made it clear, and after I've finally watched, this is. Indeed. *_Fucking lit._*
Alastor is a twisted kind of honest. He does not hide that he expects something for the power he grants. Very in character for Alastor especially after Season 1.
Once Hazbin actually gets finished (at least the first season). I really want someone to make a musical about it and include these songs from these great singers that have made such amazing hazbin songs, I can literally imagine it in my head
the writing is perfection. Alastor promises nothing at all other than he will give a "grand ovation" and watch him fall for the price of being in his thrall and obligated to do what he wants. Dude promises basically nothing in exchange for everything and makes you feel good about it....... kinda like ULAs.........
DUDE! the short story, the song, the artwork, everything is ON POINT MAN! Great work from everyone involved! I must say I loved that even Husk made a cameo that was a great little tidbit. SPLENDID work old boy!
Ok, is there a "Love" option? I actually had a horrible day yesterday, but I'm fully dressed now with a smile that I mean. This is just the kinda beat that I love listening to and I was snapping my fingers through it. I'll be singing this on loop for quite a while now. It'd be *awesome* if Viv recognized this like she did your Stolas song. Great work as always, DJ! And, as always, we'll be staying tuned. ~🎙️
new guy: "who are you" Alastor: "oh your new" probably the biggest red flag ever as it implies that Alastor's well known which we know to be true but for the wrong reasons
This song is feels like a more upbeat electro swing, beautiful lyrics and the quality of this song renders me speechless. Alastor and Husk seem more mysterious and intimidating with this song. Bravo, truly bravo! And for people, read the description for more info.
That was AWESOME! I loved the ingenius Alastor-like lyrics and the reinforcement Husker gave before pratically giving up and just wanting to go and drink. Comedic and also horrifying! This one is probably one of my favourites. What a amazing kick to start 2022!
Your voices are so good DJ, I love the tidbits of story you add in! What a wonderful, dark swanky tune. Definitely an ear bug that will be on loop. Excellent work!
I do love the way Alastor is designed. He's clearly designed with the fact he makes deals on the regular in mind seeming super friendly while really bartering with mortal souls and basically doing any deals he thinks up.
THIS gave me LITERAL CHILLS!! There are no words I can use to express how amazing this is! I'm left with my jaw on the floor, the fact that this person can make such a masterpiece and share it for FREE makes me feel extremely lucky!
I still firmly believe after all this time- when I first heard DJ's take on "Insane" (which is how I found them), they're still my FAVORITE Alastor voice. People tend to forget that back in the 20s and 30s, radio talk show hosts always had to speak from basically behind their nose so their voices could carry through. The radio technology of the time couldn't capture a normal masculine tone easily because of its frequencies, so talk show hosts would always have to speak "from their nose" in a higher tone in order to be heard. So - I think Alastor with this higher tone fits him PERFECTLY-! I get so excited when PARANOiD posts Alastor content- they have the best Alastor voice to date in my opinion and I especially enjoy the vocals when it comes to singing. All the Alastor songs/covers they've made are just huge comfort songs to me since Alastor's original singing voice from the pilot- I didn't like at all even though Alastor is my favorite from Vivzie's universe. SO THANK YOU PARANOiD! YOU DO AMAZING VOICES IN GENERAL AND PLEASE KNOW THAT I'M A HUGE FAN OF YOUR ALASTOR VOICE ESPECIALLY!!!
2:52 "so if you think you're getting out of this? big mistake" i think it's a reference to the spong "we're sure to drown" where carlie says: "so if you think i'm giving up on you, big mistake"
Why did it take me this long to hear this! So good! Even stands up extremely well for the actual show to be up. 10/10. Definitely adding it to my playlists!
“You know what’s on the line, and this whole thing’s on borrowed time, and you can trust the man who’s wearing his one guaranteeeee~!” THAT LINE HITS SO HARD
i should be oh so ashamed for being late to this masterpiece! the beat of this song is so nice, and so is the whole song itself! despite them taking a bit more, original songs are simply LOVELY. even the sounds! the sound effects of walking, clothes moving around, every detail despite not being an actual music video, it blesses my ears! amazing work!
The most interesting part for me is when Husker says "doing what you want is the cost I pay." It implies that Husker was once an unsuspecting sinner who ended up being found by Alastor who offered him a deal and he accepted. It's a very interesting idea and I hope it's something they explore more in the actual show. (it also ties in to how when Alastor summons him to help with the hotel, he says "I took it upon myself to volunteer your services" and Husker said "what do you want from me this time?" Both statements imply Alastor had asked favors of him before, perhaps as the price for a deal they made) Overall, this is just a fantastic song!
There's a speculation that Husk and Alastor are friends, but nowhere is there any evidence of them even acting like friends. This is exactly what I think so I wholeheartedly agree with this comment. Husk somehow made a deal or was blackmailed by Alastor and now he's Alastor's henchman basically.
@@HelloImakecovers And the wiki's been proven to be unreliable. It's been said that Viv doesn't even control what goes on there and anyone can easily add whatever they want. Anyways, this is a fictional character in a show that hasn't even come out yet. We can all have our theories until then.
i feel like this accurately describes alastor because in the song he keeps acting like they WILL say yes already making the terms of the deal hes so confidient in the deal being made he never tries to entertain the idea the demon would say no
In the 4 years between the pilot and the first episode the internet managed to churn out so many villain songs for the Radio Demon. They struck gold with this character, and his clear-cut villainous nature is part of why he's so damn magnetic. 😈👍
This honestly is just excellent. Love how in character the writing is. Love the lyrics. Great set up. The Radio Demon is such a fantastic character. Really nice to see him done justice.
Even tho Alastor is Evil and he is trying to Convince that Guy to Sell His Soul to Him, The Message his Conveying through his song is Actually pretty Wholesome! Essentially what he is Saying is that you can Face anything no matter how Difficult or Dangerous it is ,as long as you Smile your Way through it. And that you should also sometimes take chances and risks in life to get what you want and improve your Situation.
This song is one that makes me smile, so much I listen to it on Spotify, over and over, cause the enthusiasm in alastor's voice makes me smile and dance along

He's my favorite character, and you do SUCH AN AMAZING JOB! You get the nuance, emotion, playful attitude, insanity, and everything else I love about Alastor incorporated into this song. Coming from a musician who's been playing and studying music for over 11 years, your melodies are so beautiful and the progression through the song is so beautifully creative. Your lyrics are freaking amazing. You incorporate different aspects from each genre of music.
Love your work!

I love how this still is 100% in character for Husk and Alastor. Even after we know that Husk was one of Alastor's "deal" victims.
The fandom is the only thing keeping Hazbin Hotel going right now! 😅
@Account will be deleted on September 11th Helluva boss Hazbin out for a while though. so, I don't know what you mean by "Every couple of months"
No, what I mean is, the fans have carried the hype for HH for several years now while they wait. Vivziepop must be pleased for that.

OH MY LORDIES, Alastor “pep talk” in the recent episode to Charlie about smiling just brought back such fond memories of this song ❤❤❤
OUT. STAN.
"Here's the deal, I grant you a favor, you answer my calls whenever and wherever, and I'll be there to collect your soul once you finally fall."
Bravo, DJ! Brilliant as always!!
0:39 it seems like Alastor goes after people who don’t know who he is yet in order to trick them without them being suspicious
Him literally saying he want to see you fail yea totally not trying to be suspicious
This is rent-free in my head as Alastor's voice. Fits him SO well. I also can't unsee him side-sway dancing with a walking stick as Husker grumps, and doing a tapshoe-style routine for the rest of the song. I just can't unsee it.
If Alastor is not spinning his cane in every song, was he really trying?
I swear- The Hazbin Hotel fandom is in a whole other level of creativity!✨ It's crazy, and this person is one of the biggest source of the lot! Now I'm going to be jamming this all day :)

What’s even more impressive is they have one episode to work with
@@zinkheroofyoutube8004 not Even an episode, it's a pilot

He probably was stalking the man and plotting won the right time to make a deal with him
Listen, I love Alastor as a character, BUT WHO IS MAKING DEALS WITH THIS SKETCHY AAAH DUDE?! He is charismatic and dashing but STILL!
I would ngl XD It'd be fun to take part in his shenanigans!

Those who are desperate, those who are stupid, and those who think they can outsmart him or otherwise get out of the deal.
I would propose an agreement over a deal
Ill help you if you help me but neither side is obligated to do so. Its beneficial to both sides while requiring no commitment (yes that means you cant force someone to do something they don't want to do which is probably the whole point of making deals in the first place. But as history has shown, get people to believe in you enough and they will do anything for you.)

Life is one big musical for Alastor.

It's good to hear your fully dressed with your smile. Don't forget to always carry it around with you because it will make you stronger.

hopefully a reimagined version (maybe shortened and stuff) but where the random sinner is vox for backstory, that would be cool
new guy: "who are you" Alastor: "oh your new" probably the biggest red flag ever as it implies that Alastor's well known which we know to be true but for the wrong reasons
This song is feels like a more upbeat electro swing, beautiful lyrics and the quality of this song renders me speechless.
Alastor and Husk seem more mysterious and intimidating with this song. Bravo, truly bravo!

Yes!! Same!!
I agree !! Their Alastor voice is my favorite too
That's a really fun bit of trivia about the radio hosts having to force themself to be nasally
I never knew why they always sounded so nasal
lol
wjat how do you speak from your _nose_
2:52 "so if you think you're getting out of this? big mistake" i think it's a reference to the spong "we're sure to drown" where carlie says: "so if you think i'm giving up on you, big mistake"
Yes and no. This song came out first, so the reference is the other way around.
This is a perfect song for Alastor!! It’s fits him so well!! And Husk duetting is the cherry on top!! Yet another banger!
Why did it take me this long to hear this! So good! Even stands up extremely well for the actual show to be up. 10/10. Definitely adding it to my playlists!
The fact that Alastor sounds so convincing when he’s not trying to hide how dangerous making a deal with him is unnerving! 😧
“You know what’s on the line, and this whole thing’s on borrowed time, and you can trust the man who’s wearing his one guaranteeeee~!”
THAT LINE HITS SO HARD
this seriously gives me 2000s disney villain vibes and i fucking LOVE IT.
i should be oh so ashamed for being late to this masterpiece! the beat of this song is so nice, and so is the whole song itself! despite them taking a bit more, original songs are simply LOVELY. even the sounds! the sound effects of walking, clothes moving around, every detail despite not being an actual music video, it blesses my ears! amazing work!
This was EPIC! I can just picture the whole thing now, you really set the scene and the characters are just true and perfect
The most interesting part for me is when Husker says "doing what you want is the cost I pay." It implies that Husker was once an unsuspecting sinner who ended up being found by Alastor who offered him a deal and he accepted. It's a very interesting idea and I hope it's something they explore more in the actual show. (it also ties in to how when Alastor summons him to help with the hotel, he says "I took it upon myself to volunteer your services" and Husker said "what do you want from me this time?" Both statements imply Alastor had asked favors of him before, perhaps as the price for a deal they made)
Overall, this is just a fantastic song!
@@DemonAsh75 It says on his fandom wiki they're friends

I feel like he's saying it more as in a "smile as you walk, kick and trample anybody in your way to make it and get what you want" way lol
I feel he is actually saying that he wants them to smile their way through all the things that Alastor will make them do.
Ah yes lets listen to a (freaking awesome) demon trying to Litterally steal someones soul
Yeah you should take risks in life...BUT DON'T MAKE A DEAL WITH THE LITERALL DEVIL.
