    I have nanoleaf myself but for tabletop I'd use paper thin electoluminescent panels. They're way cheaper and you could use colored/themed films on top of them.
    Cool idea and I like the glowing lava.

    Great video Sebastian! Loved the lava effect to begin with but the fog took it to the next level! Definitely will be looking into this for my game table.

    I've been pondering this a lot the last few days, exciting setups. I was thinking about my old tv I used for a animated map setup. Added rubber tipped vesa screws allowing it to lay flat for about £7. I then added a sheet of perspex/aryclic for about £15 cut to size. Some silicon feet to space it from the screen. It may be even cheaper than the panels to use an old TV and actually have lava animated textures if you wanted.

      Thank you! and great idea. Personally I like to have a lot of painted models on display... but I am noticing i'm very quickly running out of shelf space 😅 One thing i do try to avoid as much as i can is crafting huge terrain that's difficult to store, leaning towards things that are modular/scatter which store better.

  • @daviddreher8588

    Love the concept. The big bright light cross in the middle is distracting for me if you cannot cover it up with terrain. I wish the light was a bit more evenly diffused somehow. With a slow rolling fog, it might help cover that up some. Still pretty cool looking though!

    Nice idea. I think you can have a similar effect with a monitor in a box as your playing field and some animated lavaresque movie playing. - Here in germany it's way cheaper than 250,- Euros it would cost me.
    Good video nonetheless.

    Hi Sebastian, I love your videos. You take your table to such interesting and extra places creatively. Do you have any suggestions for lighting with smaller LED lights to poke into your terrain? Preferably something smaller and cheaper. Not sure if I'm ready to pull the trigger on these panels yet. Making a HUGE spider den and want to add some green or purple colored LED or RGB lights to reflect off the webbing and egg sacks I'm painting up. I apologize if you already covered this in another video, I haven't gone through all your stuff yet. Any help is much appreciated, keep providing inspiration my dude. Be blessed!

    • @Atmoseeker
      @Atmoseeker  Год назад +1

      Thanks mate! That spider den sounds fantastic. A couple of suggestions for lighting
      1. The color tea lights from this video ruclips.net/video/Zshqd-g_34g/видео.html They are good if you wanna add little pockets of light here and there and can be controlled by remote.
      2. RGB wire fairy lights can be run through terrain. You can cover or paint over any diodes you don't want to light up.

    Looks great, but is it actually practical?

    • @Atmoseeker
      @Atmoseeker  2 года назад

      Yeah its worked well in a D&D session. If you wanna make it more portable, you can upload color scenes into the control square and change them on the manual buttons.

  • @SteveSwannJr
    @SteveSwannJr 2 года назад

    How would you compare these to a TV/monitor laying on its back?

    • @Atmoseeker
      @Atmoseeker  2 года назад +1

      You mean in terms of brightness? That depends on the tv, but compared to the one I've used they're definitely brighter. The colors are very vibrant in person too. For a similar priced TV you're probably gonna get a bigger play area, but without the modularity and compact size of the panels
