For 19 years, many men and women have gone on crusades to defeat the tyranny of Ripto. They all faced hardships, yet managed to overcome and be victorious. However, 5 words will haunt each and every one of them for all of time... *"Trouble with the Trolley, eh?"*
The alchemist one caused me such frustration and rage when i was a child. Also the one after it when you had to headbash the earthshapers when hunter shot them with his bow. Also great video Miharu! Always love your content.
Yeah. They like to get up *just* as you're about to land the killing blow. And of course, jackarse Hunter shoots several of them at once, so when you've killed one, the others start getting up again, and you fail.
Darth Necrosaber Jacob Randall - Agreed. I think Hunter cheats at that game. He seems to know where the crystals will pop up before they start steaming up. Also, he’s somehow able to grab the crystals even if you jump for them. Like I said, that son of a bitch cheats.
I feel like the crystal popcorn challenge is one of the hardest ones in the whole game -- I very often need several attempts before I get both orbs -- because of this, I was really surprised when I was showing the game to a friend of mine, and in my playthrough, I got both orbs in 1 try each! I think it was more luck than anything, though, those orb challenges are always difficult, and it's because of 2 main factors: 1) It can be difficult to tell where exactly the crystals will pop up, and it's easy to lose track of where the steam is, or even just get a bit overwhelmed when more than 1 steam trail is coming out of the ground. 2) Hunter is a freaking MACHINE in the second orb challenge -- you can be in the lead, only to have him randomly start grabbing 3 or more crystals in a row and suddenly take the lead away, and if you start to get too overwhelmed, he can win by a pretty big lead surprisingly fast. That said, as hard as the challenge is for me, I still find it to at least be kind of fun, which is more than I can say for some of the other orb challenges in this video -- most notably that stupid alchemist, which I always wait to get that orb until my second time through Fracture Hills due to not wanting to unnecessarily be forced to play that challenge twice
I don't get this: the infamous "Trouble with the trolley, eh?" line was annoying when the game first came out, and now it's become something of a meme in today's culture.
I hope in the remake they add voice overs mid mini game for the Alchemist, just to emphasize how ludicrous and senile he is while walking around these massive boulder builder bois. It'll be both infuriating, and hilarious
I love the uncensored rants on some of these Orb Challenges! lol I agree these were all annoying as hell. Hopefully they will make them more bearable in the Spyro 2 remake.
Where is secret agent??? I agree with most of those, but I actually loved the supercharge mission in fracture hills. There was the skill point for 3 laps of supercharge without stopping and I remember going on and on counting the laps x)
#5: Never had problems with this one to my recollection #4: I agree that the supercharge sucks and it does affect the challenges that use it. #3: Annoying and takes multiple attempts to get the pattern right. I agree with this one. #2: Definitely a massive pain and more so if you completed it the first time without the headbash, you need to do it again when you come back with the upgrade. #1: Tedious but compared to number 2, this isn't as bad.
Getting the Supercharge skillpoint in Fracture Hills was so F***ing Annoying. Being on the last lap, and then an Earthshaper decides to smack you... *HA HA HA!*
I am sooooo glad that hunter challenge was your number one. I stayed in the same boat as you and the path to get hunter the potion was my worst one forever. I finally went back to replay spyro 2 a few years back and I came across this hunter mission and forgot all about it. Was freakin horrible lmao. Great list
Great video some of the challenges in this game are pretty tricky especially one of the skill points in fracture hills to where you have to complete three laps of supercharge I completed it on my first try before but I struggled with it at first and after I got used to playing this game I got better playing it
You are spot on with this list! I am so glad I'm not the only one who hated that crystal popcorn mission the most. The lava lizards one was the only reason I kept using the manual. I could never get the pattern down. Now I'm used to it. And oh my gosh, that damn Alchemist!!!!!!!! He's probably the real reason Insomniac put that superflame powerup at the end of the game. They knew how annoyed we were going to be. But I think I would add Bombo's mission from Scorch on there. When there's plenty of space to run around, it's easier at first. It's when he gets closer to the exit that's the most frustrating.
It's amazing how I completely agree with your list and yet I still find that 3 of these 5 (Skelos Badlands, Fracture Hills and Magma Cone) are some of my favourite levels from the entire trilogy. Despite how infuriating these challenges can get there is something about those levels that really makes it fondly memorable to me, whether that be general gameplay, the aesthetic, or the music.
The Pop-corn challenge is HELL in the Japanese version! I've made a let's play of that version of the game and omg...If you don't know, in the Japanese version they slowed down Spyro's charge! That's also a horrible situation during Hunter's challenge in Fracture Hills (you have to be PERFECT if you want to win) and the second Lava Lizard challenge in Skelos Badlands.
@Zachary Erickson Well yea, I've always played the PAL version. That let's play I mentioned was made just for fun, and it was the first Italian let's play of the Japanese version on RUclips.
I LOVE catching the popcorn!! It's so much fun, especially if you've mastered the controls after playing it for over 15 years. It's super satisfying to win when you have at least 4 more than he does. As for that alchemist...yeah, no, that's my least favorite challenge in all of Spyro. HE'S RIGHT THERE!!! At least horn diving into and OBLITERATING the Earth Shapers makes you feel a whole lot better, ahaha.
But alchemist just walks in a path. You literally clear the challenge for 3-4 attempts. Dunno why everyone complains about it. I think the firefly twins in S3 were much worse. Two blind jerks, especially the second one.
I'll now be putting language warnings on my videos, as some people have expressed concern with some of the words I use in the script or the jokes made in editing.
I warmed up to the crystal popcorn challenges; beating Hunter is always satisfying. But I definitely agree about the alchemist challenge though, the path finding made no sense and was super frustrating. Yet somehow they thought it was a great idea to implement the same challenge, slightly harder and TWICE in a row in Year of the Dragon. Meeeh... PS: I just realized your intro music is from Mystic Marsh! I adored that level. :)
And some of those challenges get pretty easy and much easier once you've gotten and unlocked the permanent superflame power up in Dragon shores by getting 100% & one of the games I completed 100% was under 2hrs & 30 minutes on the reignited trilogy & the thing that makes me rage is the glitches that happen
Hi Miharu the Fox, thanks for showing your video. Yeah I'm sure those orb challenges in Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer (known as Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage in the USA and Canada) can be very frustrating and irritating as well. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪!
My most hated challenge was following Agent Waterhead to his hideout in Cloud Temple. Escorting the senile old alchemist was a close second. Worst part about the alchemist challenge was that you had to do it twice, if you didn't have the headbash move the first time.
Well, this gave me PTSD. And soon I'll experience remade PTSD in a few months. Nice video, it made me really nostalgic and hyped for the Reignited Trilogy.
5. Honestly its not so much the idea of this challenge as much as it is the design of it. Sometimes its hard to predict which obstacles will suddenly appear. It doesn't help that the gears are scattered in so many branching paths. 4. Again, this is more to do with the fact that Insomaniac decided to ditch the ground arrows and just put the supercharge on the powerup gates, but yea I agree. Thank god they brought the arrows back in 3. 3. Truth be told I don't really have too much trouble with this challenge. I do get a screw up from time to time but other than that I'm usually too quick. lol 2. Bloody Alchemist should've gone to Specsavers. lol 1. Ooooooh definitely. Hunter, this challenge isn't even fair! You're a cheetah! You're far too fast for me! lol An annoying orb challenge for me would also be that Hunter paragliding challenge in Icy Speedway. Spyro gets dragged by his crotch (lol) and has to paraglide through 50 rings. Doesn't sound so bad right? Except the controls for paragliding are rather janky that you often miss rings because you were either too early or too late. Sly Cooper did paragliding better. Overall another good list Miharu! ^^
I just finished Reignited Spyro 2 and I can confirm that these were also my 5 most hated challenges. The professors pencil challenge and following the secret agent spy to his base were also rough
She cant cover all of them in a top five video. That, and the agent was easily among the easiest. You don't even have to hode if your far enough away. Just follow, stop. Follow stop follow stop et cetera
@@TheDirvish definitely easier in Reignited, but in the original, I found it to be pretty tedious. Also, distance doesn't help when having to go through the doors before they close.
Ah, fond memories playing this game growing up even though I’m only 7 and my family can only afford the old PlayStation we found under the train tracks out by the graveyard in town. I found it in a back right before lightning struck the rails, raising hundreds of the corpses back to life. Anyway this was the only game I had until my dad came back and sold it to buy condoms so he didn’t make more of me. Great video!
I didn't grow up with spyro at all but I bought Ripto's Rage just last year and "Trouble with the trolly, eh?" has been ingrained in my brain in such a way that brought back PTSD flashbacks from hearing it in this video just now. Thanks for that. 😆
Aaaaa what how do you still only have 2K you should be more like a 2 million subscriber Channel getting hundreds of thousands of views a video you put out great quality content and you have a great personality what's not to love keep up the hard work girl you'll do great!
@@MiharuTheFox anytime miharu I've been sent to your channel now for Good Men a Thang I remember I got on the hype-train for your channel for one of the new games that came out it might have been the crash n-sane trilogy or something along those lines I can't remember exactly but I'm glad I'm sad you do a terrific job;-).
The one where you gotta follow that guy back to his secret base in Cloud Temples was also annoying. Especially the last part where you have to hide behind the trees because the camera can really fuck you up on that part.
"Trouble with the trolley, eh?" was soooooo annoying as a child! But now it just brings back all the memories of playing this with my older brother. They were good times. So that mission is now actually one of my favorites 💙
I've never understood why either Hunter or anyone else on my side would obstruct my goal of saving the world... "Hey, you only need one thing to face the final boss and get us all out of here and I happen to have this item. But play my minigame first. And if you lose, play it over and over."
It seems the Crystal Popcorn challenge falls into two camps - it's either one of the easier challenges in the game, or one of the most frustrating. For me, the big ones I dread doing are the trolley (because let's face it, near everyone had that one growing up), the Fracture Hills supercharge challenge, the alchemist because it always seemed like the Earthshapers could hit you regardless of whether you jumped or not, and navigating the propellers in Hurricos (mostly for how tricky it could be to judge distance, to know where the propeller would be when you got to it, and because if you failed there was only one place in the level you could get back up and try again)
I must be an outlier! :D The lava lizards are my FAVORITE challenge. The crystal popcorn is a challenge I also enjoyed, but I don't like Magma Cone that much, so it's not as high on my list. The supercharge route in Robotica Farms is one of the many reasons I dislike that level, though. I just. HATE IT. Honorable mention suggestion? Breaking the Targets in Canyon Speedway, where you ride on Hunter's UFO thing. I absolutely DESPISED it as a kid.
Great list! I agree with ALL of these lmao; these challenges were no joke as a kid, and can still be annoying today for us as adults! Wonder how newcomers to Spyro will react to these in "Reignited;" hopefully they've improved these challenges to some degree!
The charging controls is probably the worse part of Spyro 2 for me personally. You turn way to tight and the fact that the camera takes too long to position behind you makes it extremely tedious to maneuver. I really liked this video. Will definitely be subbing for more :3
A couple other things that made the crystal popcorn minigame infuriating was the tanky turning controls for Spyro in the classics. Another big thing was that the camera was always zoomed into you and not spread out to the entire arena, making it even harder to see where the crystal popcorn will pop up!
I’m looking forward to rage again, I did it while playing Crash remake. I think I’m very good at playing the original 3 Spyro games but Reignited is a remake so I’m curious to how much I’ll have trouble lol.
Oh yeah and I must say I feel like it's a missed opportunity whenever you did the trouble with the trolley a line and you didn't distort the audio and make super high pitch to make it sound super dank lmfao
Funny story about the crystal popcorn minigame. I originally beat spyro 2 and unlocked dragon shores, but never 100% completed the game when I was a kid. It wasn't until 2016 when I decided to dust off my old ps2 and see if my copy still worked. It did, and I decided to finally 100% the game. It was during this replay that I discovered the crystal popcorn minigame. In all my time playing it when I was younger, I never even knew this challenge existed, and I remember wishing I'd never found out about. It was by far the most infuriating minigame in the entire game imo. I was 20 at the time I first played it.
I remember the popcorn mini game! I thought it was really fun! (If I went back and played it today, that opinion might change, though...) I don't mind Hunter's mini games in general. I get the impression that he doesn't take Ripto seriously as a threat, so he holds on to the orbs as rewards for beating his challenges. I like him when he's acting as a rival for Spyro, since having someone you're competing with makes for good motivation. The alchemist can go eat a sock, though. (Not because he's a goat, but because he's a stupid jerk.)
I have to say this... That one with Hunter was just... Well, too much! Really, the first one was already hard enough, but the second one... I sceamed with frustration when that annoying cheetah always bested me in every single match!
That alchemist and those lava lizards... I hate those two challenges the most. Oh an the one where you have to keep the chef from cooking the turtles in Sunny Beach, that one is a pain for me.
*TROUBLE WITH THE TROLLEY EH?* It still makes me panic a little bit just hearing it. Good list, definitely agree with the placements. Happy to say the improved camera controls for the remakes should cause the turbo charge challenges much easier
that popcorn one. about whipped my controller through my TV, like come on Hunter's twice as tall as you are so you walk up to where its about to go then Hunter runs in like N A H. same with the trolley one. smh
My top 5 least favorite Orb Challenges in Spyro 2? Well, here they are, although they're in no particular order (with the exception of number 1). Number 5: The mission in Mystic Marsh where you had to chase down four thieves to get some guy's "spark plugs" back. First of all, they don't look like traditional Spyro thieves; they look more like bipedal cats. Second, chasing them down is a HUGE pain, since many of the paths they go on involve some pretty tricky jumps. The fact that Mystic Marsh has fog in it just makes following the thieves even harder. Number 4: The ice hockey game in Colossus. Two words: Ice physics. Three more words: I HATE sports. Combine all of those, and you have yourself a recipe for disaster. Number 3: The platforming challenge in Hurricos; you know, the one where you have to jump across giant fan blades whilst they're spinning. And if your timing isn't ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, you're starting all over again. Needless to say, it's pretty frustrating. You probably won't die a lot, so a game over is unlikely, but it's just so TEDIOUS . . . Number 2: Chasing Bombo in Scorch. It seems simple enough; just chase a genie while avoiding his spells. But it is MUCH easier said than done. For starters, the bombs don't seem to have a clear pattern; they just go wherever they feel like - so, you can't even rely on trial-and-error to get through. Secondly, if you get hit just once, you're going back. Thankfully, you keep the flags you already took, so at least you don't have to beat the whole thing in one go. And my number 1 most DESPISED Orb Challenge in Spyro 2 is: That stupid scarecrow mission in Robotica Farms. You have to chase four robot wasps across some scarecrows, and burn them. Okay, fair enough. But there's a catch, of course. Quite a few, actually. See, the scarecrows are too tall to reach, and since the wasps sit on the very top, you have to glide from some hills (or stacks of hay, it's kinda hard to tell). But the wasps fly away the INSTANT you get near. So, you have to flame just to the side, so that you cut them off. But the WORST part? *THE DAMN THINGS RESPAWN.* So, if you take too long to burn them, you'll start losing progress. So obviously, you gotta hustle. But cutting RIGHT THROUGH THE MIDDLE of the challenge area, is an electrified river (or some sort of bug zapper floor; again, hard to tell). And since you're in a rush, chances are, you'll fall in and take damage. Not only does this hurt you, but it also wastes precious time. And of course, if you die, you're starting ALL OVER AGAIN. Seriously, SCREW that scarecrow mission. Honorable (or, dishonorable) Mention: Good ol' Fisher the Breezebuilder's trolley. I didn't actually put it on the list because I never had that much trouble with it; it's basically just a memory game. But considering how much of a meme "Trouble with the trolley, eh?" is, it would seem that a lot of people had issues with it.
I always liked the Breeze Harbour challenge. Lava lizards round 2 is memorizing the pattern so I'm not a huge fan of that. It's impossible until it's actually not that bad. Crystal Popcorn can be tedious but I guess I've played the game so many times it's gone easy for me. Last time I played I beat it on first try without problems. The most annoying ones for me has to be the Alchemist one and the Hunter mission after that.
There are SO MANY challenges in Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragon that I just cannot beat AT ALL no matter HOW HARD I try!! Aside from Trolley Trouble, I, COMPLETELY, agree with all of the other challenges on your list, and more! And, it doesn't even help that I'm stuck playing the PAL versions! I just hope that Reignited improves on the games's old mistakes, so that, maybe, these challenges can be A LOT more fun... The challenges I despise from both games are:- Ripto's Rage:- 1) Colossus - Hockey vs. Goalie 2) Colossus - Hockey one on one 3) Ocean Speedway 4) Ocean Speedway - Follow Hunter 5) Sunny Beach - Turtle Soup 2 6) Crystal Glacier - Draclet Cave 7) Skelos Badlands - Lava Lizards 1 8) Skelos Badlands - Lava Lizards 2 9) Fracture Hills - Alchemist Escort 10) Magma Cone - Crystal Popcorn 1 11) Magma Cone - Crystal Popcorn 2 12) Metro Speedway 13) Metro Speedway - Grab the Loot 14) Icy Speedway 15) Icy Speedway - Icy Paraglide 16) Fracture Hills - Earthshaper Bash 17) Shady Oasis - Free the Hippos 18) Robotica Farms - Exterminate the Crow Bugs 19) Cloud Temples - Agent Zero's Secret Hideout 20) Metropolis - Ox Bombing 21) Canyon Speedway 22) Canyon Speedway - Shoot the Balloons Year of the Dragon:- 1) Sunny Villa - Hop to Rapunzel 2) Seashell Shore - Destroy the Sand Castle 3) Mushroom Speedway - Race the Butterflies 4) Crawdad Farm 5) Icy Peak - Protect Nancy the skater 6) Enchanted Towers - Trick Skater 2 7) Spooky Swamp - Escort the Twins 1 8) Spooky Swamp - Escort the Twins 2 9) Bamboo Terrace - Shoot from the boat 10) Country Speedway - Race the Pigs 11) Bamboo Terrace - Smash to the Mountain Top 12) Spider Town 13) Frozen Altars - Box the yeti 14) Frozen Altars - Box the yeti again 15) Frozen Altars - Catch the ice cats 16) Lost Fleet - Skate race the rhynocs 17) Lost Fleet - Skate race Hunter 18) Fireworks Factory - Ninja HQ 19) Fireworks Factory - Bad dragon 20) Charmed Ridge - Cat witch chaos 21) Honey Speedway - Race the Bees 22) Starfish Reef 23) Fireworks Factory - You're doomed 24) Fireworks Factory - You're still doomed 25) Crystal Islands - Whack a mole 26) Haunted Tomb - Tank Blast 1 27) Haunted Tomb - Tank Blast 2 28) Dino Mines - Shafted 29) Dino Mines - Gunfight at the Jurassic Corral 30) Harbor Speedway - Race the Blue Footed Boobies 31) Bugbot Factory Most of the time, I only, EVER, manage to scrape by with just enough orbs, or eggs, to challenge the final bosses in both games. However, I NEVER have enough to access either Dragon Shores, or the Secret Bonus Round...
Has everyone forgot that fact that if you don't have the headbash when you beat the alchemists challenge,It's basically a waste of effort? What with hunters challenge NEEDING the headbash.
Wow...Crystal Popcorn is the one mini game Thee most hardest and unfair even as an adult this was so frustrating. Those other ones you mentioned were at some point a breeze when I replayed this game as a grown up, but not Crystal Popcorn. It's a good thing I wasn't alone in this struggle
My top 5 Hated Spyro 2 Challenges: 5. Trolley- Breeze Harbor: Low on the list because I had problems with it when I was little, but got better when I was older. 4. Hula Girl- Idol Springs: Another one that was hard when I was little. It still takes me awhile to complete this challenge, though. 3. Saving the Turtles From the Chef- Sunny Beach: When I was younger, I had no grasp on the fact that hitting the turtles in the direction of the water pool with enough force would send them right into it. I just sent them off away from the pot and prayed they'd land in the pool. 2. Crystal Popcorn- Magma Cone: Hated this challenge as a kid, still hate it now. I had a point where I could do it with no problem, but lately I can't really do it anymore. 1. Agent Zero- Cloud Temples: I hate stealth missions in games and this challenge is without a doubt the reason why I do. To this day, I can't complete this challenge; my younger sister did it once but told me "never again!" because of how many times it took her to complete it.
My most hated challenge isn't even in the original trilogy. It's the Professor's time travel quest in Honey Marsh from Spyro Season of Ice. Basically in order for the Proffesfor to be able to travel into the past Spyro needs to lure 4 different bees out of they're hives and onto flowers cause his time machine is sunk in honey. 3 of them aren't so hard and are fairly straight forward but in the last one drove me insane! Essentially the flower this Bee has to go is placed ontop of a cliffside and the beehive is on the bottom. Now that doesn't sound so bad but this is a GBA Spyro game we're talking about! You have to 100% precise other wise the bee will sting you and sting you to either faint get propelled off the edge and start this horrible chore all over again! And after you finally finish the mission hauling your poor bee sting ridden dragon hide back to the Professor he reveals why he wants to go back to the future. He wants his hair back! If it wasn't for how heinous MoneyBags is revealed to be in Season of Ice(He was okay with selling fairy's for mass profit) I'd hate The Professor more!
There is trick to the your number 1 spot challenge. You have to wait at the crossing when the thing is going to pop and then at the same time you have to be scanning area for more steam so you have the time to strategize where to go next, because if you wait until you grab the gem (or whatever is coming up) you are wasting time and never gonna win. I learnt that yesterday when I played remake of spyro 2.
Hey did you know that activision took the pre order for the online Spyro pre orders from people? Went to check the countdown and it wasnt there. Went to go check the game and it said I didnt own it
Fractured Hills' super charge challenge can at least be cheesed by doing a tricky boost jump from the power-up gate that lands you behind the structure where the faun is locked. If you can keep the momentum after the initial jump, you can just circle around it and break the door without having to go through the whole map-long path. No such saving grace in Robotica Farms.
Omg is that challenge srsly called SMASHING PUMPKINS in English??? And I LOVE the Collecting Crystals challenge in Magma Cone, possibly one of my favourites :D Great video
The alchemist one though. I remember as a kid I completed it, then hunter goes ‘come back when you’ve learned how to headbash’ so I learn to headbash, go back to hunter in fracture hills and he’s in the damn stone again, so you have to escort the alchemist AGAIN to do the headbashing the earthshaper challenge! Iejrhwhaunfnekwjahrnrj
the pumpkin one was definitely tricky for me the first time. For me, the last orb trials that were left before I got 100% was at Hurricos (maybe cuz I forgot to do them, not cuz they were super hard) and Agent Zero... OMG, Agent Zero was so annoying to deal with. Also, the trolley (I swear they made it harder in the remake cuz some of the gears, you somehow don't pick up unless you jump and they were accessible on the ground initially). And the Bomb guy in Scorch... a million times worse now- you want to rush and get the challenge done with, but in the remake, the trick is actually taking your time. Ugh!
Not even I know how I did this enough to actually unlock Dragon Shores as a kid. And with Reignited coming you mean I have to do it all again? I’ve had enough trouble with the trolley, thank you very much
Ah yes, this reminds me of why I always preferred Spyro 1 over Riptos Rage. Don’t get me wrong, I love Riptos Rage, but these bullshit challenges really frustrated the hell out of 8 year old me. Plus, I honestly liked the atmosphere, vibe, and simplicity of Spyro 1.
I just love the mission you put on number 5 because it’s so unique and for me fun 4 was not to hard but I can relate 3 is the same as number 4 2 was easy after practice unless the game hates you 1 i find the first one a walk in a park but the second is very hard if you really find it hard just wait until hunter gets glitched underneath a glacier So yeah The ones you showed at the beginning before talking was more reasonable
I didn't realise how fucking tedious these challenges were back when I played it, other than the trolley and the badlands challenge until I saw this video and Vietnam flashbacks just happened
Check out the Reignited version of this video! ➡️ ruclips.net/video/abU6WvbmxUQ/видео.html
For 19 years, many men and women have gone on crusades to defeat the tyranny of Ripto. They all faced hardships, yet managed to overcome and be victorious. However, 5 words will haunt each and every one of them for all of time...
*"Trouble with the Trolley, eh?"*
@Zachary Erickson
They might add into the remake, considering that it part of the original.
I wish you could post gifs in RUclips comment sections. I have a triggered gif of Crush from his reignited promo.
Also, I'm pretty sure that voice is Gregg Berger, who is returning for the remake.
@@Heroshii15
If he is, then I would love to hear him say "Trouble with the trolley, eh?" in the remake.
That one wasn't too bad to my recollection. Might take a while but compared to the others on the list, it was just fine.
Trouble with the trolley eh?
*Cue PTSD*
That quote gives me PTSD...
I honestly had a problem with that Ox in Metropolis than the trolley, and trolley gave me Nam flashbacks once.
Trouble with the trolley Ay
I didn't realize how much PTSD I had from some of these challenges until I watched this video...
Wouldn't have been bad if we got a camera that was worth a shit...
Hunter's popcorn Crystal collect was the most annoying for me
Darth Necrosaber Jacob Randall -
Agreed. I think Hunter cheats at that game. He seems to know where the crystals will pop up before they start steaming up. Also, he’s somehow able to grab the crystals even if you jump for them. Like I said, that son of a bitch cheats.
I’m a weird minority who actually likes the crystal popcorn challenge. And Tree Tops is one of my favourite stages
Tree tops blows but yea Idk the popcorn one I don’t have much trouble with, like there are multiple popping
I feel like the crystal popcorn challenge is one of the hardest ones in the whole game -- I very often need several attempts before I get both orbs -- because of this, I was really surprised when I was showing the game to a friend of mine, and in my playthrough, I got both orbs in 1 try each! I think it was more luck than anything, though, those orb challenges are always difficult, and it's because of 2 main factors:
1) It can be difficult to tell where exactly the crystals will pop up, and it's easy to lose track of where the steam is, or even just get a bit overwhelmed when more than 1 steam trail is coming out of the ground.
It's because it sounds trollish.
It's used for shitposting.
I hope in the remake they add voice overs mid mini game for the Alchemist, just to emphasize how ludicrous and senile he is while walking around these massive boulder builder bois. It'll be both infuriating, and hilarious
I love the uncensored rants on some of these Orb Challenges! lol
I agree these were all annoying as hell. Hopefully they will make them more bearable in the Spyro 2 remake.
Where is secret agent???
I agree with most of those, but I actually loved the supercharge mission in fracture hills. There was the skill point for 3 laps of supercharge without stopping and I remember going on and on counting the laps x)
#5: Never had problems with this one to my recollection
#4: I agree that the supercharge sucks and it does affect the challenges that use it.
Great list
Great video some of the challenges in this game are pretty tricky especially one of the skill points in fracture hills to where you have to complete three laps of supercharge I completed it on my first try before but I struggled with it at first and after I got used to playing this game I got better playing it
Damn near threw my controller during the ice hockey one lol
This really made my day! Thank you! :D
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH, I'm glad I played the NA version
I can't find your video of the challenge on your channel I wanna see it
I LOVE catching the popcorn!!
3godzilla3 I agree the chemist it was extremely fun :)
But alchemist just walks in a path. You literally clear the challenge for 3-4 attempts. Dunno why everyone complains about it.
I think the firefly twins in S3 were much worse. Two blind jerks, especially the second one.
@@smart.but.stupid I agree. Though for some reason the first twin always gave me more trouble...😅
@@3godzilla3 yeah, and you have to listen to their annoying "OOOOOWWWWW" over and over again when you start it all over xD
You did a great job on this video! Keep up the good work, proud'a you.
I'll now be putting language warnings on my videos, as some people have expressed concern with some of the words I use in the script or the jokes made in editing.
Discount those people.... trust me.
How naughty we are!
Much appreciated! You're awesome, Miharu! (:
Who cares what they fucking think but just put language warning so they shut the flying fuck up. XD
Fawk yeah!
I do get a screw up from time to time but other than that I'm usually too quick. lol
2. Bloody Alchemist should've gone to Specsavers. lol
1. Ooooooh definitely. Hunter, this challenge isn't even fair! You're a cheetah! You're far too fast for me! lol
An annoying orb challenge for me would also be that Hunter paragliding challenge in Icy Speedway. ^^
It’s funny. I like Skelos Badlands, but I despise the lava lizard challenge
I just came across these videos, love them! The trolley part made me laugh out loud!!
Spyro 1: Thank you for releasing me!
Spyro 2: Trouble with the Trolley, eh?
Spyro 3: OWWW! I went Boom again!
I just finished Reignited Spyro 2 and I can confirm that these were also my 5 most hated challenges. The professors pencil challenge and following the secret agent spy to his base were also rough
I feel all the super charge challenges were easy, except for the pumpkin one I always screw up
i love this rant! one of the best spyro related vids ever
Haha I love the Popcorn challenge lmao, It was fun stealing the popcorn from Hunter.
the breeze harbour one was one of my favourites ,,,, the challenging aspect of it- I love
Time to torture myself by doing all the side quests for an absurdly long time for free content
Also, I'm surprised there's no mention of that stealth mission in Cloud Temple.
Oh Lord I think I found my new favorite channel! What's up Miharu? I'm new around here and loving your content :)
Thank you and welcome!
I love your videos so much , Would be great if they where longer ;)
Aaaaa what how do you still only have 2K you should be more like a 2 million subscriber Channel getting hundreds of thousands of views a video you put out great quality content and you have a great personality what's not to love keep up the hard work girl you'll do great!
Thank you so much glad you're enjoying my content!!
Know you know what it was actually your top challenges I'd like your favorite disliked levels Etc.
I think I speak for everyone when I say
"I've spent two hours in a maze with snail elephants, LOOKING FOR A PENCIL"
That's actually my favorite challenge in Spyro 2. I always had a lot of fun exploring the level to find where to put the items.
@@MiharuTheFox Eh, it was a reference to a Spyro parody
ruclips.net/video/A1gnBgfQdgE/видео.html
That Goodfellas quote was so unexpected (my favorite line from the movie) and I laughed my ass off
The charging controls is probably the worse part of Spyro 2 for me personally.
You turn way to tight and the fact that the camera takes too long to position behind you makes it extremely tedious to maneuver.
I really liked this video.
Will definitely be subbing for more :3
The Alchemist and Lava Lizard challenges were my worst. Along with retrieving the flags in scorch and flaming those scarecrow bugs in Robotica Farms.
I actually did that in my Spyro 2 review.
I still have trouble with the Turtle Soup Mission II. I'm surprised that is not on this list all and the RoboTica Farms supercharge is.
I remember doing the 'protect the villagers' quest in Skeloes Badlands for like an hour before finally getting it.
My least favorite challenges involve the timed/hard to control power ups, flight, super charge, super flame, ice, flight PLUS super flame, etc
“Trouble with the trolley, eh?”
Fucking hell, the quantity of times I have heard that is more than the amount of stars in this galaxy...
I remember the popcorn mini game! I thought it was really fun! (If I went back and played it today, that opinion might change, though...)
I don't mind Hunter's mini games in general.
And your gonna have to do it all over again!
O GOD NO PLEES GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would do it 15 times over again
15 times
_15 times_
*_With the JOJ_*
*TROUBLE WITH THE TROLLEY EH?*
It still makes me panic a little bit just hearing it. Good list, definitely agree with the placements.
Happy to say the improved camera controls for the remakes should cause the turbo charge challenges much easier
0:32 - 0:33
Sums that challenge up PERFECTLY.
1:32
*Immediately hears "Cherub Rock"
that popcorn one. about whipped my controller through my TV, like come on Hunter's twice as tall as you are so you walk up to where its about to go then Hunter runs in like N A H.
same with the trolley one. smh
Uhh I didn’t realize that u could lose the dinosaur challenge. I just killed them and thought that was the challenge. I must of got lucky
Can you make a top 5 year of the dragon annoying challenges?
Already working on it.
My top 5 least favorite Orb Challenges in Spyro 2? Well, here they are, although they're in no particular order (with the exception of number 1).
Number 5:
The mission in Mystic Marsh where you had to chase down four thieves to get some guy's "spark plugs" back. First of all, they don't look like traditional Spyro thieves; they look more like bipedal cats. Second, chasing them down is a HUGE pain, since many of the paths they go on involve some pretty tricky jumps. The fact that Mystic Marsh has fog in it just makes following the thieves even harder.
Number 4:
The ice hockey game in Colossus. Two words: Ice physics. Three more words: I HATE sports. Combine all of those, and you have yourself a recipe for disaster.
Number 3:
The platforming challenge in Hurricos; you know, the one where you have to jump across giant fan blades whilst they're spinning. And if your timing isn't ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, you're starting all over again. Needless to say, it's pretty frustrating. You probably won't die a lot, so a game over is unlikely, but it's just so TEDIOUS . . .
Number 2:
Chasing Bombo in Scorch.
And my number 1 most DESPISED Orb Challenge in Spyro 2 is:
That stupid scarecrow mission in Robotica Farms.
Honorable (or, dishonorable) Mention:
Good ol' Fisher the Breezebuilder's trolley. I didn't actually put it on the list because I never had that much trouble with it; it's basically just a memory game. But considering how much of a meme "Trouble with the trolley, eh?" is, it would seem that a lot of people had issues with it.
THANK YOU! That stupid Robotica Farms one used to drive me insane as a kid. To this day I still have a hard time getting all of the bugs...
From the ones you mentioned, the only ones that frustrated me are Number 5 and 3. Number 1 was easy for me :o
Huh strange ive always been able to lill the bees in ine flame pretty easily haha i guess different challenges are harder for different people
I always liked the Breeze Harbour challenge.
Wow a video of your troubled past
How emotional
1:12 oh my god I almost spat everywhere 😂
There are SO MANY challenges in Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragon that I just cannot beat AT ALL no matter HOW HARD I try!! Aside from Trolley Trouble, I, COMPLETELY, agree with all of the other challenges on your list, and more! And, it doesn't even help that I'm stuck playing the PAL versions! I just hope that Reignited improves on the games's old mistakes, so that, maybe, these challenges can be A LOT more fun... The challenges I despise from both games are:-
Ripto's Rage:-
1) Colossus - Hockey vs. Goalie
2) Colossus - Hockey one on one
3) Ocean Speedway
4) Ocean Speedway - Follow Hunter
5) Sunny Beach - Turtle Soup 2
6) Crystal Glacier - Draclet Cave
7) Skelos Badlands - Lava Lizards 1
8) Skelos Badlands - Lava Lizards 2
9) Fracture Hills - Alchemist Escort
10) Magma Cone - Crystal Popcorn 1
11) Magma Cone - Crystal Popcorn 2
12) Metro Speedway
13) Metro Speedway - Grab the Loot

16) Fracture Hills - Earthshaper Bash

18) Robotica Farms - Exterminate the Crow Bugs
19) Cloud Temples - Agent Zero's Secret Hideout
20) Metropolis - Ox Bombing
21) Canyon Speedway
22) Canyon Speedway - Shoot the Balloons
Year of the Dragon:-
1) Sunny Villa - Hop to Rapunzel
2) Seashell Shore - Destroy the Sand Castle
3) Mushroom Speedway - Race the Butterflies
4) Crawdad Farm
5) Icy Peak - Protect Nancy the skater
6) Enchanted Towers - Trick Skater 2

15) Frozen Altars - Catch the ice cats
16) Lost Fleet - Skate race the rhynocs
17) Lost Fleet - Skate race Hunter
18) Fireworks Factory - Ninja HQ
19) Fireworks Factory - Bad dragon
20) Charmed Ridge - Cat witch chaos
21) Honey Speedway - Race the Bees
22) Starfish Reef
23) Fireworks Factory - You're doomed
24) Fireworks Factory - You're still doomed
25) Crystal Islands - Whack a mole
26) Haunted Tomb - Tank Blast 1
27) Haunted Tomb - Tank Blast 2
28) Dino Mines - Shafted
29) Dino Mines - Gunfight at the Jurassic Corral
30) Harbor Speedway - Race the Blue Footed Boobies
31) Bugbot Factory
Most of the time, I only, EVER, manage to scrape by with just enough orbs, or eggs, to challenge the final bosses in both games. However, I NEVER have enough to access either Dragon Shores, or the Secret Bonus Round...
The Popcorn one always gets me at times!
Hey question, what do you think of the skylanders season 3 trailer?
It was pretty cool! Glad that Coco got in!
@@MiharuTheFox seeing coco tbere was a huge shocker, Im so hyped!
My top 5 Hated Spyro 2 Challenges:
What about the dracklets in Crystal Glacier?
My most hated challenge isn't even in the original trilogy.
It's the Professor's time travel quest in Honey Marsh from Spyro Season of Ice.
Basically in order for the Proffesfor to be able to travel into the past Spyro needs to lure 4 different bees out
of they're hives and onto flowers cause his time machine is sunk in honey.
You have to 100% precise other wise the bee will sting you and sting you to either faint get propelled
off the edge and start this horrible chore all over again!
And after you finally finish the mission hauling your poor bee sting ridden dragon hide back to the Professor
he reveals why he wants to go back to the future. He wants his hair back!
If it wasn't for how heinous MoneyBags is revealed to be in Season of Ice(He was okay with selling
fairy's for mass profit) I'd hate The Professor more!
Went to go check the game and it said I didnt own it
Huh... that's weird. I preordered it on Amazon, and last I checked it was still there.
Got mine on the psn and apparently Im not the only one this happened to
You should definitely do a top 5 for most annoying Year of the Dragon challenges. One that springs to mind is Demolition Derby... Need I say more?
‘Good, let the hate flow right through you’
*EMBRACE IT*
That turtle soup challenge was annoying.
Especially the second one.
I'm glad I saved it for last and did it.
Trouble with the trolley, eh?
*BLOW IT OUT YOUR ASS!!*
That made me laugh hard.
I haven’t played Spyro 2 in forever and when I heard “trouble with the trolly aye?” I had a ptsd flashback
I was actually referring to the metal chest challenge, which is why it didn't appear on the list.
Omg is that challenge srsly called SMASHING PUMPKINS in English??? And I LOVE the Collecting Crystals challenge in Magma Cone, possibly one of my favourites :D Great video
I dunno if it has an official name, that's just what I call it because you smash through pumpkins.
I only played the demo but that side quest about saveing the cave men form the Dino's was hell xD
I just love the mission you put on number 5 because it’s so unique and for me fun
4 was not to hard but I can relate
3 is the same as number 4
2 was easy after practice unless the game hates you
1 i find the first one a walk in a park but the second is very hard if you really find it hard just wait until hunter gets glitched underneath a glacier
So yeah
The ones you showed at the beginning before talking was more reasonable
I didn't realise how fucking tedious these challenges were back when I played it, other than the trolley and the badlands challenge until I saw this video and Vietnam flashbacks just happened
Annoying orb challenges in Spyro 2:
Fracture Hills has entered the chat
