I kinda thought he was just a super enthusiastic guy who loved finding gold. But he has a crazy amount of knowledge about the whole topic. Identifying the rocks to what to look for. He keeps it interesting and he's 89% crazy. I'd like to follow him around for a minute just to "learn by doing", and pick up as much helpful hints as my brain could absorb. I live in Bullhead Az. It's a gold yielding place. Bucket list hopeful. To find my very first gold nugget of my own.

Ive been subscrived for bout 8 years. I lived in lakewood, Co. for 5 yrs, did a lot of panning and sluicing in clear creek. Never got a detector, wish i did. Jeff W. is the man of knowledge. Love your videos.

@askJeffWilliams “ALIAS SONNY JIM” I need a detector in a bad way, Minelab is my choice as a beginner. Best Demo I’ve seen on any RUclips channel in the last 5 years! So the 45 hertz is solid for gold, where as the 75 hertz is moved away from that particular gold frequency? Superb!

I have one, AWESOME machine. I also use it to find the black sand and iron stone run in a gravel bar,saves a lot of test panning.

Kinda sounds like a game show host… he does hit the stuff that Dan Hurd seems to overlook a lot. This guy hit his classified stuff and found it imbedded in the rock. You’d think that more gold prospecting would be like that. They miss stuff inside the big rocks they toss aside like garbage.

Old gal I know chanced upon a Mason jar of fines good for a few ounces here in Calaveras County. Hope all is well my friend.

I have been blessed to be mentored and inspired by a lot of greate men in my life.

Today I, have learned a truck load, of gold prospecting with metal detectors. I, will be looking in the market too see what’s available in a lower price. Can’t afford a good one. Always wanted a old Lobo or Gold But Someone Gifted me a Brand New in the Box GMT. I'm good. Love that machine. Quartz monzonite is the thing here in Southern New Mexico. Every time I find Gold in the old workings and Seams like you just did I thank the Creator that the old boys didn't have detectors. LOL
Makes me wonder about what they'll have in the future when they're referring to today's prospectors&miners as the old boys!

I've watched some of Professor Nick Zentner's geology lectures about the Pacific North West about how it's geology formed so I understood what you were saying about the different types of rock formations. The last few days I've watched some videos from Vo-Gus prospecting also out of Australia. This is some fascinating stuff.

Wow, how interesting he is to watch. I am hooked. I was 17 years old, when I first panned for gold. A year later I met my wife and we planned a few more times in the Rio Grande River, in NM. Then school, and three kids later. That was 36 years ago, still married and retired. Wow, has time passes, but not for the fire in my (belly) for the love of the first nugget I found. My mentor who took me as a child, kept it. Oh well he fnded the trip, but I now treasure the experience, Bernie passes on. Keep up the awesome job, and the comedy value is awesome. I like the new mine lab love to try it in my favorite spot up here in Alaska I have a gold bug ii already don't waist your time on any other gold bugs unless you like digging up aluminum cans and nails!!!!!

I know this is 2 years old. But I want to add that with the GB2, it is difficult for it to detect targets that are right next to each other, small target may not sound off, while other targets give off a double beep. I would spread the targets out, separate them, and then pass the coil over them. I'm not saying which is better because I only have the GB2. Keep up the good work 👍

Just bought the Gold Monster - still yet to get out and use it been doing underwater detecting instead. Been digging for the yella stuff since I was 6yrs old and now I am 59. Still love doing it.
