You have highlighted a key to ANY detecting - KNOW YOUR MACHINE. Yes, there are machines that are better at doing specific things so if you are hunting X you need the machine that will find X. If you are hunting Y then you need the machine that is better at hunting Y. BUT, there are machines that will hunt X and Y but they compromise to do that. Thanks Bill.
Yes, sir, the key is to know your detector...
Used a small cool, bushes,? Ran into Rattlers. Lots of fun , just let them move away. Too much trouble to chase them away.
Thanks Bill, it works just like you showed me.......
Thank you for this great tutorial. I've had this machine for over three years and not known how-to use it properly until watching this. Cheers 😊
Always having fun getting out enjoy life fam. Gold squad out!!!
You showed me stuff about my machine that i didn't know. Thank you. That was the best set of instructions i have found. It will be easier for me now.
Great video. It was key to deciding to buy one. Thank you for taking the time to make it!
jeff williams showed it's more sensitive than the goldbug 2 it picks up smaller gold this is why I'm saving for one
go big
STU377 got a gold monster like 4 months ago. go watch my vids they just have.the date on them. was out in the dale.sweeping with my gold monster
Saw that one as well. At least in that environment, was quite clear it was more sensitive.
Idiot-proof machine that's great for noobs, super sensitive, well-liked by the very experienced -- and a very nice price.
Bill very informative video every time you explain more about the gold monster 1000 I learn on tidbit more that helps me, probably more importantly I am corrected on what I'm doing wrong. Thank you Bill and Tammy you're a great service to us.
Thanks so much for the tutorial on the Gold Monster. Absolutely the best presentation on the subject. Thank you for your efforts!!
You just answered my question about the makeup of the coil! Thank you. Great video on more in depth balancing.
Good, good words to remember, thank you for your explanations in this video. So much to learn so we need these videos so we can catch that illusive rock we call gold.Lesson well taught Bill,We Thank You David out.
I am thinking of getting one of these machines, thanks for the great video on it! Very informative!
Thank you for posting this information. I just picked up a ML Gold Monster and was having some trouble just figuring it out. Your information was extremely helpful in understand the ground balancing alone. Understanding and knowing the target area on the coil and pinpointing where the strongest pick up is located is huge. Subscribed and hit the notify... thank you.
Thank you Bill! I had to watch this again, so helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Very informative on the Minelab Gold Monster 1000, thanks for sharing your knowledge with everyone.
Thank you for the very valuable training and information. I’m in southeast Oregon very near the coast and I deal with a ton of hot rocks but I’m learning. Thanks again.
I found your channel from another guys channel from a video on the 2019 Gold show in Phoenix. This videos so far is the best video I’ve seen explaining the settings on Monster 1000. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thank you Chris
Thanks for the help using the MGM 1k. Great video!
Nicely presented 👏👏👏 it seems a great machine to get going on instead of spending $ 3000 dollars up wards.
Thank you ,best gold monster tutorial
Thanks Bill, Looking for insight of the 1000 and you have helped me there, thanks. Looking for a machine for a noobie is like looking for gold with a tooth pick, if you catch my drift. Have a good year!
Another great video my friend. I like how you were able to show the hot rock and target in the same hole... Very easy to see that back and forth reading and move on... Like you said, dig all targets. Keep the videos coming buddy
Will do
Thank you. Another informative video. This is going to be my next metal detector.
I keep them in stock...
Thank you, bill!
Thanks Bill, you have the most knowledge & happy to share. Your a wonderful man, nothing wrong with the way you hunt. Proof is in the pudding....GOLD.

Good video Mr. Shooter. Just got a Gold Monster 1000 and your tips and info are extremely helpful! I've got about 6 months until things thaw out again here in the Great White North and then I'll be hunting for real.
Just bought one...can't wait to get out. Great Information Bill.... Shannon Poe pointed me in the right direction.
Good hunting Dean
you found the golden bb.lol thank you for sharing and thank you for the educational support.
Great content. Thank you my Man.
Very educational.
THANKS.
What a beauty of a day Bill.I have a friend that needs to see this. He is like the proverbial headless chicken running around with the coil a ft + off the ground. It is really frustrating to watch for sure. This is a great tutorial my friend. A nice day out there, some schooling and a nugget to boot. Thanks as always my friend. Take care.
Thank you my friend
Thank you for explaining how to use the gold monster. Your videos have helped me tremendously to understand what to do and not to do with my monster.
You are so welcome! Glad to help
Your a bloody legend Bill and a wealth of knowledge. As a remote area fitter I actually bought my Monster for finding small bits and bolts that I'd dropped into the sand where I was working. I didn't take the price seriously as such a great little gold detector but after your informative video i was very surprised. Have subbed and thanks again.
I've had my GM1000 for a couple of years nearly and it's a brilliant machine but have sporadic finds. Your tips help me and others a lot. Thank you from Downunder 🇦🇺😀
Glad to help Drew
Awesome, thank you.
All I can say is WOWZA. you gave me some really good info and tips. I looked at a lot of metal detectors and this by far was exactly what I needed to know about making the investment for looking for Gold and other treasures. Ebay here I come. Thanks so much for your advice and the videos about prospecting and metal detectors. SUBSCRIBED good sir. Looking forward to more of your adventures. Be safe.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good stuff..I do appreciate the knowledge. Ty
Your videos are great and have helped me a lot with my GM1000! (ARIZONA)
Instructional video and find gold 👍
That's one heck of a gold finding machine.
Thanks for the tips and instructions on setting up, along with ground balancing.
Likely the Monster 1000 will be my next machine after I finish wearing out the American Gold Striker lol
Thanks Bill
Aaron
Thank you for watching Aaron
Thanks sooo much for this video. I just bought this minelab and I’m jazzed to try it out. I’ve been using a old garret for years and finally bit the bullet and bought a minelab.
Thank you for the video
Just bought one today, super excited to take it out with my son.
I appreciate this video so much, I learned of the monster from one of your other videos. I was getting ready to buy the Mine lab 8000 or Garett... I am an Arizona native and am tired of sluicing and panning... I have the Gold magic and now would like to try my hand at the detectors also.... Thanks for helping me pick and showing me how to use it, simply... I am just simplifying things now that I am older.
Very welcome!
Thanks for posting this video Bill! I just bought a gold monster recently and it definitely helps! I consider you a expert at metal detecting and I enjoy all of your videos. Good luck sir !!
Glad it was helpful James and thank you!
@@NUGGETSHOOTER Thank you Bill, I'm in Wickenburg/ congress area.
I got skunked yesterday, i went to quartzite and only dug trash. Which is part of metal detecting. Congrats on your retirement also, glad to see you're enjoying that!
The micro processor is balancing a lot of different ground conditions at once when moving it around like your suppose to where the older VLFs balance in the specific spot the coil is moving up and down on and is good reason why they seem to be out of balance in a few steps. That makes this detector much more powerful. Good video Bill.
Fantastic explanation of this machine, Bill! Minelab should bundle your video with the kit for all the monster's they sell - ITS THAT GREAT! Keep yer coil dusted off my friend!
thank you!
Very interesting information and tips. That last clip where you pulled the little nugget that was basically under a hot rock, reminds me of my 800 when detecting a trashy area lol. Crazy what that machine will find amongst the trash. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Thank you for watching Shawn
Can't wait to try my monster thank you bill...
Good vid Bill,,,,the very reason I bought mine from you.
Thank you!
Thanks Bill for sharing your knowledge of the GM 1000. Really like all the tips. Great video my friend. 😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
Great advice as always. I found my first GM nugget a few weeks ago. It was less than 1/10 g. Waboo pop!
That was informative and you got gold thanks for the lesson
I just bought one of these machines. Thanks to you, I will know how to use it right off the bat. Thanks for the information. Very useful.
You are very welcome
Very nice and detailed explanation about this detector. Not likely to get this type of information from the user manual. Thank you for sharing.
Very good tutorial! Minelab should link to this video
Spring can’t come fast enough in Alaska!...can’t wait to hit the dirt!...as soon as the snow melts..😩 to try mine out!
Hello there.. great of you as you dig for gold. I wish you good luck. I follow your videos. Thank you very much. Best of luck.❤❤❤❤
Awsome video, very informative moving to Arizona in our motorhome want to spend the rest of our days in the sun looking for gold/ gems etc. 😊
Good luck!
Excellent lesson!
Glad you liked it!
Very informative Bill, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks a bunch, ordered one for my own Christmas present 12-21 I'll be walking n seeking
Great stuff ,, one of my favorite if not my favorite Gold Prospecting channels ,,
Wow, thanks!
Awesome video! Thank you, I guess I better back off the sensitivity! Seams like my area has really hot ground to boot. Great video with great tip using real gold. 👍👍
I find using a scoop is way faster locating the tiny gold and pin pointers (that I’ve used) won’t find the tiny stuff.
Great video as always!
Thanks for the video, very helpful. Just got my gold monster 1000 this week. Can't wait to head over to the creek by my house.
Glad it helped
You are not mucking around there Bill, awesome information, great video there thanks mate 👍
You are very welcome
Very good teaching video. Good job showing how it doesn't balance out a gold nugget.
G'day from Australia mate. Thanks for spending the time to explain some of the idiosyncrasies of the Monster. I've been umming and arring whether to get a second detector to compliment my GPX 5000 and after watching your video, I've decided to get the GM. Our ground is heavily mineralised over here, so I know i'll be pulling my hair out with frustration for the 1st few months using the GM until I get proficient with it. But that's what this game is all about, practice and perseverance. Have a great one brother
How have you found it in Australia. Was it a hard as you thought to get used to too. I'm looking a getting the GM..
@@dfmoulton G'day there, No not hard, probably the easiest detector to master. Just noisey in mineral ground.
Thank you!
Great video and instruction.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice very useful I cant wait for spring since its winter I guess it's time to save for one of these excellent metal detectors
Yes indeed!
Awesome knowledge an scored gold sweet beautiful looking day awesome thank u soon it will be a large nugget we will get to see
Thank you this helped me so much!
Glad it helped!
Thanks Bill !! I spent the weekend with Jeff Williams and what you have been talking about helped me out fast method and understanding the way the monster works. It truly is worth the $$ and I was finding gold in less than an hour, I never even took my Gold bug 2 out of the truck!
Again thanks keep up the great post!!
Thank you Earl and Jeff is a great feller to learn from.
