- We found one of the Biggest Gold Nuggets ever on our claim while metal detecting . We love Gold prospecting in Arizona as it always has Monster Nuggets. We are using the Minelab Gold Monster 1000 and the Garret ATX metal detector's. This is what is called a Eluvial Gold deposit .

My Uncle spent most his life in the boonies in Arizona hunting gold. He passed before I was old enough to remember anything from meeting him, but he apparently loved the hunt and being out there in nature. This makes me feel a little bit like I'm seeing what he enjoyed his life doing. I wish he was around to give me the rundown on gold hunting. Thanks for your videos!

Was watching your vids this morning as I'm always learning from your channel. At the end of your video it took me back to a sad place. The Gold Lady and Darin were friends of mine. We winter in Bullhead City and I have a claim outside of Oatman. Every week I would go visit them at the store. It just wasn't the same not being able to go see them and talk about mining and life. Their memory lives on in the hearts of we people that knew them.

In the 1970s while hunting gems and fossils on the eastern Sierra, I met an old timer. He criss crossed the desert on foot, all his supplies in a wire basket slung between bicycle ties he towed. Skin like dark leather, long hair as white as snow, bare foot and only wearing a diaper, he spoke a million miles an hour his pitch rising and falling in sort of a sing-song. Over several months he would turn up in places 20 or 40 miles apart. Sometimes I would see him far off, whisking across the desert like a jack rabbit.
This video is the craziest I've seen. I wonder if shown here is the incubation of a crazed old timer. God bless Jeff Williams.

I've been watching Jeff's videos for a solid week now. This morning on my way to work the Deep Purple song "Space Truckin" comes on. You know... C'mon, C'mon, C'mon... let's go space truckin'. Of course Jeff's got in my head and every time they say "C'mon" I reply with "Let's goooo". Ha ha, what a character that guy is and now he's in my head, damn it!

There's a lot of gold where I live in Washington State, but unfortunately it's 99 percent fine gold which takes a more chemical processing technic which is a pain in the "*''#* if you don't have the right equipment..
I moved from RI / MA out yo WA / ID and literally the change of area made ALL the difference in finding valuable minerals and treasure

Jeff, I've been wanting to get back out with my ATX and it's great to see you using it. Gave me a little more training and that push I need. I have a harness and hip stick to help carry the weight and am hoping that it will help out. Without the support I can swing that monster for maybe 30 minutes. I also carry multiple machines when I go out but never thought of using both on the same target, thanks for the tip. Going to hit a different spot up at Rye Patch with some digging buddies this weekend so wish us luck.

I sure wish I could spend time with someone like Jeff, or others that have knowledge through years of experience, so I could learn by working with them.
I also have some containers with clay balls that need processing to remove any gold that might be in them.
I have difficulty in finding someone that would work with me. I have about 6 5gallon buckets roughly 1\2 full that I need to process through a sluice. NO HELP! Very discouraging!

Jeff Williams my name is Joseph Marian I am a long time follower and I used to be a patron but I'm going to go back to it I've had some financial difficulties over the last 6 months things gotten better had to make multiple trips back and forth to Canada so through one of my trips I decided to do a little gold panning and I used all the knowledge that you have taught so I decided to go to the Frazier River and do some digging and I did just like what you taught me I watched the flow of the river and I can imagine about where it would drop and how much the river may have moved over time and I started digging slots in the sand about 4 ft long and ended up being about three and a half to 4 ft in depth not an easy feat I found a little bit of gold in the first slot so I went up around the hook where the river bounces off the side where I should have started to begin with but me being so happy just being there and dug one but 50 yd short of the hook but when I went around and I dug the slot up on the hook I started finding some good gold pieces I wish I could send you a picture but the 3 days I spent there I managed to accumulate a total of ounce and a half in 3 days this was the best day of my life and I owe it all to you for the knowledge you've given me to know where to look and what to do I will forever be your number one subscriber and from this point on I will be your forever patron your knowledge that you've given me is awesome thank you

Ugh, been pounding AZ dirt for two years now... haven't found more than specs.. Jeff comes down for a weekend and grabs grams! Also, was pretty funny watching him get all jittery and toss that nugget behind him!

I live in a gold barring community but I don’t kno anyone that is into metal detecting I wish I could metal detect with you can’t wait to find my first gold
If a novice prospector sees "quartz", he should try to scratch it with his pocket knife. If it scratches, it's probably calcite (calcium carbonate). If it doesn't leave scratch marks, it could be quartz (silicone dioxide) and worth further investigating. Quarts is harder than steel, so it won't easily leave scratch marks. Good video, Jeff, as usual.
