Wrath line about his wife is great. As he said, he always followed the path laid before him, he never got to choose. Not his name, nor his path, nor his role, etc... But his wife, he got to choose. It is, in fact, the only choice he probably ever made. So there is no need for words, as the choice itself represent all the freedom he had in the world, and all the weight it holds that he chose her. It's kinda romantic, really.

How much she meant to him makes more sense if you remember that he _is_ Father's wrath. It's the thing he felt the least, but it specifically was his rage it being trapped in that damn flask doing whatever humans told him to do. It's also why he hates religion and proclaimed "good" rulers so much; he values choice, _hates_ not having it, and disdains anything that purports to provide some benefit in exchange for less (perceived) choice. So for him it's "Choice is the most important thing a person can have, and I spent my _one_ on her. What could I _possibly_ say that could mean as much?".
Whether or not she really knows him well enough to understand that is another matter, but from his perspective it tracks.

I think one of the main things that connects Bradley and the dwarf in the flasks wraith is the fact that they are hidden. The dwarf despised the flask but rarely showed it and was freed by promising immortality to the ruler of Xerxes. I think that theme of being hidden presents itself in many ways in Bradley but also In ways that means that he is very controlled. The only thing he ever got to choose was his wife so I think when he was dying him saying that is a way of going there is nothing that needs to be said. No matter what happens what is revealed about him she will always know that that was real.

@@AStrangeWindmill Holy crap bro. I've never really thought about it that way, even though I've already watched this series a gazillion times. And you make a whole lot of sense. It is also ironic that Bradley was created and put into the same situation that Father was in all those years back in Xerxes. And that is a life without a choice. I knew Bradley was always perpetually feeling angry due to him being Wrath, but couldn't exactly tie him in with Father as the other Homonculus did. Now after seeing your explanation, it all made sense. All the Sin Homonculus represented an aspect of Father during his time in the Flask.
Lust: It represents his manipulative and deceiving side and the pleasure he drew when he deceived and manipulated the people of Xerxes.
Gluttony: It represents the base desires of hunger and probably the curiosity to try new foods to satisfy said desire, as he was trapped in a flask and could never eat.
Envy: It represents how envious Father was towards humans for having support and help from people around them. Even though he viewed himself superior and mocked human's need for a community as inconvenience, he was low key envious of the community that humans entail.
Greed: It represents Father's loneliness. His desire to have friends and family like humans that support and help them. Even though he viewed himself superior and mocked human's need for a community as inconvenience, he was low key wishing for a family and friend. To not be alone in this world.
Sloth: It represents Father's laziness and unwillingness to do anything for the Xerxes people.
Pride: It represents Father's identity as the Dwarf in the Flask. He was proud to be an all-knowing entity. Proud to be Homonculus and distinctly different from humans. Pride's shadow form walking around in a container is exactly how he was like.
Wrath: As you have said, it represents Father's situation of being trapped in the flask and having no choice but to do the bidding of others.
It is such a shame. Because if you look at all the Homonculus put together and Father as a character in whole, he was actually an extremely well-written and fascinating character. If he could only be humble and reached out to Hohenheim for help and be honest with himself, he might have walked a completely different path than what he did. Not that I can't understand his decision to betray the Xerxes people. He was trapped in the Flask for decades (Hohenheim from a teenage youth to a middle age man in the flashbacks), being milked for the knowledge he possesses, while having no freedom or any choice for the matter, while feeling all alone in the world like Frankenstein's monster. His situation is very much like a slave when you think about it, because he does not get rewarded for the knowledge he shared either. When the Xerxes king asked about immortality, the Dwarf probably felt that enough was enough and knew it was his once in a lifetime chance to change things for himself and he took it. I mean I can sort of empathise with him. Anything to escape from that decades worth of imprisonment, loneliness and lack of being appreciated. I might even do the same thing as him if I was put into the same situation. And being able to take revenge on the Xerxes people was just icing on the cake.

Let's recap. It took: having his train being blown up over a ravine, almost a platoons worth of Briggs soldiers, a tank, a man with a chainsaw hand, a ninja, a fellow homunculus (one with the powers of a ninja and the ultimate shield) a stab to the gut, having his ultimate eye gouged out, shot in the shoulder by an M1 Garand, dropped at least 80 or so feet into a moat, losing a prolific amount of blood, a long battle with Scar and the literally intervention of GOD to take Bradley down. And he still almost won.

To be fair the intervention of god is an analysis. Not necessarily what happened. It was the sun, who they considered as God, but not necessarily that intervening. Was it a coincidence? Or was it actually God? Up to interpretation and at the end of the day, choosing to believe it was God, is an example of faith. Which Scar obviously has.

While Father looks a bit like a fit & healthy Al, it's just a younger/more perfect version of Hohenhiem when he was young (when he was just Slave 23). As for Pride, he was deteriorating because he forced Mustang to open the Portal of Truth, and Ed was able to beat him/turn himself into a philosopher's stone because he'd already transmuted his soul to heal himself at the mine (it was a little silly, but works if you think about it).

I would say that’s not just about being married to the Fuhrer with wraths death. When spouses part in death, there, it really is no words that really need to be spent together they know they cared and loved each other. Bradley did love his wife. He chose her as he said, and she chose him remember back to when Willy Tiber died in AOT. He just says I’m sorry. Look at for the kids. There’s no words about loving each other because they already know.

    *Homunculi dying Ironic Deaths, Continuation*
5.: Wrath. Dies peacefully and without a trace of anger, hatred or rage in his heart, while reflecting on how much he ultimately enjoyed life among Humans, despite looking down on them. For extra irony, he dies at the hands of an Ishvalan Priest after being blinded by the fading eclipse, brought down by arguable an act of God and the hands of a man whose People he genocided...and who overcame his anger and hatred over that to become a better man.
6: Pride. Well, okay, he didn't actually die, but being reduced to a harmless fetus still counts for this list in my book. For all his pride in being a Homunculus, it's the sin of pride - corrupt self-interest and justification of any self-serving action, no matter how contradictory and hypocritical - that undoes him. When his body starts falling apart, he attempts to possess the body of a creature he looks down on (Ed, a human) to save himself. This act of hypocrisy is one of the few transgressions that Kimblee doesn't tolerate, so he reasserts himself within Pride and gives Ed an opening to defeat him. In addition, Pride is being reduced from the single most powerful of Father's Homunculi to a small, helpless Fetus, probably the most humble thing he could be reduced to. And finally, this happens to him at the hands of Edward Elric...a Character whose primary Arc involves facing and overcoming his own sin of Pride and getting in touch with his humility.
    More to come...

Also just because Scar's tattoo is Alkahestry it doesn't mean he can heal himself. Just like alchemy, it requires knowledge.
Ed learned to use his soul as philosopher's stone when he healed himself when he got impaled in Briggs. That trick was used here again to get the true form of pride

I left a moment of silence for those that had “passed” last episode. The country wide transmutation circles is considered one of the biggest mind-f-s’ in anime history.
Each of the Homunculi’s deaths resulting in more and more ironic deaths.
    Lust- undesired
    Gluttony- devoured
Envy- wishing well of those he is so jealous of
Sloth- going all out and trying to get back up
    Wrath- at peace
    Pride- disgraced
Silent communication is among the purest forms of love there is. And the two weren’t the talking consorting couple. They had worked out the issues of their relationship a while ago. And he may be a monster to everyone, but to her, she truly thinks well of him. (I will also note Bradley didn’t really choose his words of how he communicates with his wife very well, but I do believe this is what he was speaking of.) Bradley didn’t get to choose his life, but he chose two things actively. He chose Mrs Bradley, and he chose his duel to the death with Scar instead of facing the group and keeping them from interfering with Father.
So to explain what Ed did, he used a more advanced move that he used to stitch himself up after getting skewered in the mineshaft but took it up a notch to get the core of the stone and break it all but the pure base. (Which I think Hohenheim was planning on this to defeat Father when he infected him at the start of their battle when they looked identical.) So what you see is Selim Bradley without extraneous souls like Envy’s tadpole form. There is a base creature. (Also Kimblee’s disgracing pride is among my FAVORITE moments in FMA. Especially after he’s disgraced him, Kimblee waves his hat and says goodbye.
Also Father became the perfect being and made his own individuality. Long flowing gold hair, golden eyes, SHREDDED muscles, and the possibility to do anything. A shinito is what May called him. You know. At a mild cost. 50 million. He should be back to approximately the same soul count as Hohenheim. Half a million, and cut it in half for his Homunculi children. And that’s what the two of them have to work with.
And now EVERY alchemist is much stronger than before. Their transmutations should all be greater than they were now that Scar’s brother’s reverse circle. Setting the stage for the ending fights now that there’s no one left to face but him.

So as people here have said in the comments: Wrath’s death is ironic THREEFOLD.
One: Wrath dies peacefully, with a smile on his face, like falling into a long rest.
Two: He doesn’t believe in god, and constantly, throughout the series, shuts down any notion of “god’s wrath” and “divine intervention” (such as with the people of Ishval trying to secure a surrender), but AS HE IS ACTIVELY DENYING GOD, the light of the sun behind the eclipse starts to shine, and blinds him, as if in an act of providence and divinity.
Three: Wrath, with his ultimate eye that only sees weakness, ultimately becomes blinded by his wrath through divine intervention.

Glad you notice wrath being blinded by god! It's a really interesting twist of irony. Throughout the show King Bradley (wrath) constantly makes comments showing his disbelief in god. He outright mocks the ishvalans for their faith, and even dares their god to strike him down to prevent the genocide of their chosen people. He makes it very clear that he finds the very idea of a higher power absurd. In his final battle with scar, wrath mocks and challenges scar on how he has essentially betrayed his religion by using alchemy, before making the final statement that scar must have known deep down that there was no ishvalla at all. HOWEVER, it would be an act of god that ultimately sealed Wrath's fate. Both in many real world religions and in alchemy, an eclipse is seen as a symbol for god itself. The show further leans into that by having the eclipse literally be the gateway for The Truth. It would be the eclipse (or god) moving just so slightly enough that light would reflect off of Wrath's sword and into his one good eye, giving scar the chance he needed to land the killing blow. Wrath's dare for god to strike him down finally came full circle. And in another fun twist of irony, Wrath dies at peace with himself and his life.

Pride's death scene to me refers to the idea of biological family and a 'chosen' family. Pride was created by Father, yes. but in the end the ppl who ACTUALLY raised him and cared for him so that's why in his final moments it was his adoptive parents he visioned. Family isn't determined by blood but by action, feelings and bonds u create. This can also seen as a reference to adoption and how adoptees are often treated as if their adoption parents weren't their "real" parents.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this, I dunno 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway this is an amazing series with extremely in depth worldbuilding and themes!! Appreciations to Hiromu Arakawa for such an amazing work!

Edward Elric and Solf J. Kimblee. Pride went up against not one, but two people more prideful than him in a contest of souls. Poor kid never stood a chance.
Amestrian alchemy was founded by Father, so all the alchemists who learned how to harness tectonic energy learned it from him. The philosopher’s stone that makes up his being was stretched throughout those pipes underground, and he himself acted as a buffer for tectonic energy in Amestris. This limited the potential for all Amestrian alchemists who relied on his teachings, funneled tectonic energy to himself to fuel his own alchemy and supplement the power of his stone, and allowed him an “off switch” to disable Amestrian alchemy by putting a stranglehold on tectonic energy if need be. Scar’s brother’s reverse transmutation circle didn’t just disable Father’s off switch, it negated his buffer effect on the nation. Not only can he no longer prevent Amestrian alchemy from being used, but Amestrian alchemists now have greater access to tectonic energy than ever before. Their alchemical potential is now unfettered by Father for the first time in history.
TL;DR: All Amestrian alchemists just got a power boost.

It's like going to a zoo as a child and seeing a lion up close for the first time. You forget the unease of being so close to such a deadly predator, instead feeling awe-struck at the sheer size and stature of the creature on the other side of that glass. • @nucleargandhi2709

My interpretation of Pride's inability not to obey Father is that he cannot separate his identity from that of Father's. Whereas the other sins are generally oriented around some form of desire, pride is a sin of identity, a state of mind that evaluates one's own being as more capable and more valuable than others, especially God. Pride understands that he is a distinct being from his father, but he is _Father's_ pride, the hubris of the being he was born of. Despite the irony, it's only natural that such a homunculus could not imagine living as anything but a servant of the being whose pride it carries.
