I 1000% agree with you. The ordering process for 2023 Demon 170 should have been the same as ordering the 2023 Chrysler 300C. I ordered mine online, dealer called to confirmed over the phone and in person to place the order, the Chrysler Consierge called me the next day to confirm my order and took my $300 deposit via PayPal. Eazy Peezy Lemon Squeezy and I was very happy and fortunate to be 1 of only 2000 getting the 2023 300C. I have my VON , I have my VIN and Im just waiting for it to be built. PS, Im also buying it at MSRP, not $100k over.

Beck in 2016 I put a deposit for a lovely Green Hellcat. Every month I would go back to dealer asking for an update. They would tell me , oh it's in process. I did that for 12 months. I asked for my money back. Months later Dodge dropped/deleted about 3300 orders if I recall that number correctly, and I along with 3300 people got screwed. I'll never look back again into becoming part of Dodge's cluster F of overpriced and effed up ordering system if you call it that.

Are people really that stupid and desperate to offer to pay 100k markup instead of finding out what the dealerships markup is? No wonder they are getting away with bending people over.

  • @devonp5079

Thanks for bringing this cluster F to light! Dodge Dealers colluded at the dealer’s meeting in Las Vegas to sell the Demon170 for $100,000 over MSRP. Price fixing. That’s why every dealer was asking the same ADM Tuesday 3/21 9:00 AM. Dodge and Tim Kuniski could have prevented all of this but they don’t care about their loyal customers. Tim Kuniski, Dodge and Dodge Dealers are only concerned about short term profits and not long term viability. I don’t know of one Demon owner that has anything good to say about this new release. Demon owners and Challenger fans have been screwed. Tim really damaged Dodge’s reputation and credibility. Sad.

My dealer who sold me demon 378 didn't get an allocation, he doesn't no why and dodge won't give him any reason I called a ton of dealers and none will sell to me,if I don't get a chance to purchase a 170 I'm getting out of the dodge business and selling all of them witch is a demon, trx, hell cat and gladiator, Tim k really screwed original demon owners I'm done with them

Literally was saving for something awesome from them since the Hellcat launched. Wanted a Black ghost. But I lost out and got priced out. Saving 80k is hard to do. For me at least. Now I’ll just hold on to my money. I’ll keep my old Rt. Maybe I’ll find a used Hellcat later one day. Don’t want finance ever again lol.

I think as soon as car manufacturers like GM Ford and Stellantis put small limits on these cars, they’re purposefully making it so the prices are going to skyrocket. Either way, the average person won’t be able to buy one of these cars. The super wealthy collectors will put their new Demon 170 into a museum or private garage for safe keeping until little Johnny is old enough to drive. Why only 3300 like the original Demon? Why not 40,000, how can that be a bad thing if that number is a reasonable expectation to sell? At almost $100,000.00 U.S. I’m sure that has a nice profit built into it. Maybe they can’t provide that many engines because they’re putting all their eggs into the electric basket now. Who knows?

It's ashame how dodge let their stealerships screw people over...remember a 1 star review for dealerships will ruin them where it counts....the long term will take its toll.

Dodge does not care about the customer obviously they're just in it for the money. What a shame I was a Dodge fan big time till this all gods have to do was charge the dealerships $300000. And then when a person bought the car and paid the 300000 they would refund them the money from the dealership and that way they don't only. Have to pay a 100000 for the car. What a joke.
