      One thing i would say is about the pricing kuniskis said in a separate interview that those who buy it at msrp will get priority follow by thoseget closests to msrp price and last but not least for dealer stocks get absolutely last and 3000 is the max they would build meaning customers get priority not so much the dealers

    • @americanassassin001
      @americanassassin001 Год назад +4

      I'm not impressed. Tim Kuniskis said it was hard to make a 1025hp from factory that was reliable. Well I got news for you Tim the company LME has been doing that with the gen3 hemi for years. You can run 1200whp and daily it with one of their motors. The upgraded drive train is nice. Id love to have one so I could race it. It's priced at $96,666.00 now Tim did make it known that anyone who pays more than MSRP for this car that car won't be built as soon as those who pay MSRP.

    • @mopar_shawn939
      @mopar_shawn939 Год назад

      @@americanassassin001 He was talking about Car manufacturers due to all the regulations. Plus reliability so the motor has to make it through a torcher test held at a certain rpm for a certain amount of time. To prove it's reliable and can be a every day 1000hp car.

    Wrong color car for the debut - underwhelming at best. I don't like the look without the front fender flares, and I don't like the look of the big side walls on the tires. I know they are drag tires, but I much prefer the look of the Super Stock. I don't like the Demon 170 name either. I LOVE the performance, but as a '21 HCREWB owner, it did not make me want to sell my car and get the Demon170. Years ago, I had a Mercedes SL500 that I loved right up to the day a SL55 flew past me. I bought an SL55 within a month after that - I HAD to have that car. I don't feel anything like that with this Demon170. I have always said that the only car I would sell my HC for is a Demon, but not this Demon. I will wait to see what their next generation of IC cars will look like and go from there; and yes, I believe there will be a next generation. Dodge lies constantly (2023 Durango HC anyone?) and they are saying it's the end of this "era", and that doesn't sound like it's the end of performance -focused IC engines.

    Good car, ordered however will not pay over MSRP. Dealerships that keep pulling that are eventually gonna be like Tesla. No sales people order online and build as go. Think Dodge needs to do that soon or will lose audience especially if going to go all electric in near future. V8 should live on and all there fleet of vehicles should be flex fuel. People who slam this car because it's not flashy either have forgotten what Dodge is about don't know the history. When it comes to extreme performance models Dodge has always gone the all business route in the looks department. With those models they have always put the goodies into the drivetrain where it really counts!! That was the case with the Demon, as well as their extreme performance models during the 60's. Some seem to be big mad at Dodge for being true to their heritage. Although for those who want cosmic flair Dodge has them covered with the lower models. The Demon 170 wasn't built so the owner can look good on date night, or to look good on a music video. It's meant to handle business. The Domon 170 wasn't supposed to be for everyone's tastes. Only for the hardcore Mopar enthusiast. Personally I myself really like it! There no denying that this car is badass!!

I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to buy a Demon 170 at a Mecum auto auction for quarter of a million dollars or more at some point in the future. If Dodge can get Mopar fans excited about fender flares, they can get them excited about a car they'll never own. Dodge essentially gave owners of n/a cars the middle finder unless you're excited about stickers. These Dodge fans were offered nothing. Cheer up Mopar fans. You can take pride as the owner of a V6 Challenger that you are part of the brotherhood of Dodge. You have to give Tim Kuniskis credit for standing in front of a large group of people and blow smoke up everyone's @ss.

    They are definitely going to get marked up, probably over double. Can't trust a stealership. The only way they will run a 8.9 is the same way I am going to run a 9.99. You have to have the perfect situation of air and track prep to make it happen. The reason the didn't show the time at Las Vegas is the air there is terrible. If I were a betting man, I'd say it ran around a 9.3-9.4 at 147ish. Anyway. It's going to be way out of reach for the average Joe and probably most of the current Demon owners are going to suck up most of them, leaving even less for non-demon owners. Love the car but it's just going to be way out of price range and just sheer numbers for an average person to get one.
