I wonder if the locksmith could also be charged for theft of property as an unknowingly accomplice? Rather interesting to see how this is all worked out through the courts 🤣
Yes because ive locked my keys in my car and they ask for confirmation if its your car in many ways. Any locksmith knows the consequences of their job thats their biggest fear.
As an accessory to a crime...yes. And he or the company he works for will have to pay. The insurance company will see to it. They will want reimbursed.
@Thor Odin son Here's the problem. The locksmith's insurance company will pay out a DEPRECIATED amount for the 2015 car...the actual car and its true value will never actually be replaced. GEO-tag anything of value.
@Max Power I feel like it wouldn't even be all that difficult for a thief to get their hands on a fob programmer or whatever they use and just go rampant selling stolen cars
@Xoilen that's what most do these days .. there is 1000s of videos on RUclips of people stealing cars this way .. can get a programmer for 500 online & a bag of fobs ..
Dude, this is awful. To work so hard to aquire a car like that, and im guessing he treated that car like his pride and joy...to hear about it being snatched like that is frustrating, just for a guy like me watching this video. Can't imagine how bad this guy feels, and I hope he ends up finding compensation in some way. Smh
Funny I'm in Ohio and had to get a key made also! They didn't ask me for I D either now that I think about it 🤣! This could actually become a real problem if you think about it!
Why would you let your son, who is a teenager in high school , drive your super rare, super expensive car to a place littered with adolescents who typically make poor decisions??
Called a locksmith in Miami last week on the behalf of a friend of mine He showed up cut a key , got paid in cash and left never asking for a single piece of paperwork.
Notice how rare Porsche’s don’t get stolen that often ? It’s lack of security/ safety from the manufacturer that is the problem. There’s multiple ways to easily get these cars to start and drive without the key. I think the automaker should be held responsible to some degree…..
I hate a thief more than anything and it's sad to say he won't be getting this car back and if he does get it back it won't be in the same shape as it left. My friends HellCat Charger 4-Door was found after 2 months stolen at a scrap yard they yanked the motor transmission took the entire interior trim full dashboard and everything down to the seatbelts out of it. It was sitting on dolleys when they drug it in wheels brakes gone to I'm talking hood trunk right and left fenders snatched to there straight chopping everything they can get off them basically all that existed of the car was empty shell and rear quarters
I feel like he could sue the locksmith? I mean same thing with homes. They need to check ID before handing over keys to property that may or may not be theres
So is the company financially liable? Why would there be regulations stating they “have to check for ID” if there’s no punishment for not following those protocols. They should have to either get the car back in the condition it was in or pay the money it was worth.
Please be careful and take extra precautions. People are getting killed over these cars. This is also the last year for them, so these cars are going to be very expensive to buy!
Sounds like an inside job. Exactly why I don’t want this car anymore. Grabs too much attention. I’ve heard of thieves following people to their house too
oh but no body does anything to stop the ones doing locksmith job with out papers and license. And costumers prefer to hire that people who offer cheaper prices (because they don’t pay insurance, licenses and permits) that go for a legal locksmith
Ohio huh....? *Goes To Locksmith* "Ummn Hello, I need a key made to my Bugatti Chiron. I lost both keys and will need a a replacement." "Say No More" -Locksmiths In Ohio
They probably showed the key fob and lied saying it’s they’re car. Then the thief. Probably programmed his own key. That’s what they’re doing. They don’t need a lock smith to do that
BAHAHAHA!! Rich people problems! Seriously though... the criminal did him a favor!! Junk vehicles are all that exist today!! What this report is intentionally leaving out is THE FEE the locksmith charges for hooking up their computer to reprogram the new key fob... A huge price of 400 to 500 plus dollars were paid to the locksmith. A ridiculous cost so it probably wasn't a kid at the school who could afford it....
I wonder if the locksmith could also be charged for theft of property as an unknowingly accomplice? Rather interesting to see how this is all worked out through the courts 🤣

and a mustang. Ive never met his son, but i bet i can tell you what his attitude is like..
@@SpaceRanger187not communist liberal?
His first mistake was letting his kid take his hellcat to school
Give the locksmith straight cash and they open anything you want
That car is probably in Mexico by now.
No it’s not you don’t need to go to Mexico with it when you can outrun any pig around town.
That I would bet on or a chop shop.
No they take out the engine and transmission and put it in a Chrysler 300
@@chaseo4557 that too for sure
Doubt it's in Mexico white people and black people love those cars

Wow that's crazy I hope he gets his car back ,that was a crime by the locksmith he should be charged.

I've thought about this so many times and wondered why it hasn't already been a well known problem by now. Surprising.
When I stayed in Columbus they asked me for ID to open the door up when I locked my keys in it
Most normal locksmith in ohio

Why not
Is ur brain under developed?
At least you still got the boosted 5.0
Soon enough he will be in a better one thanks to insurance. He'll be fine lol.....
Time to sue that company
Haltom High has security. They have cameras. Why don't they know Who took the car ?!?!
@That V8 Life BABABABABABA LAACKKKK
16 years old don't need a car for 65000 usd. You can get a Toyota for 21000 usd 75 hp.
Probably one of the teachers saw it in the parking lot and set up the whole lick.
I’m thinking the locksmith was in on the theft.
It’s too late the car is gone. It’s either at a chop shop, a different state or totaled in a ditch.
16? bruh looks 20
Locksmith owes you a new car, period... No question about it 😜
The lock smith should be locked up for breaking the law and the company’s license pulled.
Man I hope you taught that kid how to drive that thing??!! That’s a lot of car to put in a teens hands!!!
I hope that locksmith has a bond, because I definitely be taking it to get a new car.
You have to wonder, if a Club steering wheel lock bar had been on the wheel, would the locksmith had picked that as well?
You can cut the wheel. It will just take a little longer.
A 2015 hellcat isn’t rare tf 😂. Also not $65k. More like $45k-$55k.
Just go to your local Dodge dealer, get the RF Lockout update and boom ...no more open key slots.
Dam I can’t imagine that being done to my Vette I would be devistated
“Rare 2015 Hellcat” 😭😭😭
That's what I'm saying 💀
Be angry with yourself for being an idiot letting a 16 year old take a car like that school just to show off... guess he isn't showing off anymore...
