  • Our entire effort of Diabetes reversal is aimed at making our body insulin sensitive with an aim to live a life without any diabetic medications. However, in the excitement of reversing our diabetes, if we reduce our medicines pre maturely, the reversal efforts gets effected and the chances of your blood sugar levels getting out of control again becomes high.
    In this video I have cited a few hypothetical examples to explain and give an idea of when and how to reduce your diabetic medications.
    This video must be taken only as a guideline.

    Pranam Sir,
    All your videos in the series of managing and reversing diabetes Type II are so interesting, rather engrossing, that they captivate the attention completely.
    As far as Diabetes Type II reversal is concerned, you're another Baba Ramdev in your own unique way.
    You're rendering yeoman's services to the diabetics who really intend to contain and eventually reverse their diabetic condition.
    Profuse gratitude to you,Sir.
    Humble Regards,

  • @drtanmoy
    @drtanmoy 3 года назад +2

    Well explained. You've made it simple for everyone to understand. But I would re emphasize the fact that it's very important to work with a medical professional when a person is getting off medications while reversing T2DM. The yo yo effect is very real and can frustrate all the efforts. Having said that, type 2 DM is very much reversible, but the effort has to be lifelong. One should not think that they can go back to their previous ways of eating after going into remission. Mr. Guha-keep up the good work!

    • @gautamguha71newdelhi

      @Tanmoy Das - Does this means that, one has to keep the low carb diet for life long to keep away from medication? What about progressive aspect of diabetes as mentioned in western medical journals?

    • @drtanmoy
      @drtanmoy 3 года назад +1

      @@shashib977 Yes. It's simple to understand. T2DM is nothing but carbohydrate intolerance. It becomes a progressive disease only when you keep on eating the carbs, which are non essential nutrient anyway.

    • @shashib977
      @shashib977 3 года назад

      @@drtanmoy Many thanks! I understood now. I am still surprised to see, why medical professionals are still not prescribing this instead of giving tons of medication just to level the BG.
      I have one more curiosity as to why this intolerance is there in very few people e.g. 30 million in 1.5 billion (only 0.2%).
      Moreover, I have heard and seen that since many decades Indian people are surviving on Carbs only, but now we became carb intolerant and tagged as diabetic capital of the world.

    • @drtanmoy
      @drtanmoy 3 года назад

      @@shashib977 It's a long story, more than a hundred years old. A story gone wrong -resulting in millions suffering from T2DM unnecessarily. Plus there's no profit or money in getting well without pills!

  • @shashib977
    @shashib977 3 года назад +1

    Thank you sir for a wonderful explanation. I see the primary criteria used here to reduce medication is FBG. I would also like to know what should be the criteria to consider for PP or IGT. Many people I have seen have severe IGT, though their FBG is near ideal range.

    • @gautamguha71newdelhi
      @gautamguha71newdelhi  3 года назад

For reversal or reduction of medicine/insulin (like my Dad, who's 80), doctors reduced his insulin at 95-97 range and o didn't interfere because at this age he is happy to have reduced from 84 units to 22 units.
