    Great video for beginners like me, do you need the polisher for the paint maintenance ? or can I do it by hand. Thanks and hello from Canada.

    Thank you for your tutorial. My company needs me to apply some advertisement stickers on the vehicle. If I have ceramic coating on the car, will I still able to put those stickers on?

    Mahalo! I am scared to death to polish my shiny black Tahoe. Question: I got a professional ceramic coating 5 years ago, but the installer is no longer available. Do I need to worry about the old ceramic coating that may still be on the car?

    Is it the same procedure to apply the coating to the glass and the plastics?

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  9 месяцев назад

      You want to thoroughly clean those surfaces before application.

    For scratches and scuffs would I do that before an all around polishing? I have a work truck that has too many scratches too count and want to get out as much as I can with the 3M scratch removal.

    Nice, okay question? 🙋 after the first coat. And if you want to do a second coat do you need to wipe it down with ipa again to make sure there is no debris? Thanks

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  9 месяцев назад +1

      You do not need to do a second ipa wipe-down for a second coat, the initial ipa wipe-down is just to remove any remaining polishing residue or little bits of wax still on the surface.
      Based on the specific coating you’re using, if a second coat is required or optional, you want to wait until the first layer cures.
      Ideally you don’t want to expose the vehicle to all of the outdoor elements if you’re planning to apply a second coat.
      Having it stored or parked in an enclosed area would be your best bet.

    Shouldn’t the car be free of swirls before the coat ?

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  9 месяцев назад

      We actually performed a paint enhancement on this vehicle.
      Depending on the customers preferred choice of paint correction you’d go ahead and perform just that.
      Polishing in general is very ideal but not “mandatory” when applying a coating.
      Hope that helps.

    Is coating better than gyeon mohs

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  9 месяцев назад

      While I’ve heard good things about Gyeon Mohs, I would still personally choose Mckees 37 graphene coating over it due to the fact that it is a 5 year coating as opposed to a 3 year and you can apply it on almost any surface whether glass, wheels, chrome, or trim. Hope that helps!

    • @ejamoj7484
      @ejamoj7484 8 месяцев назад

      Gyeon synchro is a 5 year coating which features mohs and skin which is a silica based topcoat. But it is of course two layers

    hey Randy, nice job have you ever tried using the clay pads that you can just put on the orbital it makes your life much easier and faster on the newer vehicles they sell them at sonny's

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  9 месяцев назад +2

      I’ve actually known about those pads for a while now, I just personally don’t find them to be as safe and effective as doing it by hand. Just my opinion though.

    Hey bro is it safe to do ceramic coatings in direct sunlight?

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  9 месяцев назад +1

      In short words no coatings should be used in direct sunlight, there are coatings out there that are “outdoor friendly” or can be applied outside (like this one), but you definitely want to have shade at the very least.
      Otherwise coating a vehicle in a controlled environment will be the best option possible.
      Hope that helps!

    so will that amount of clear coat you put on the applicator be enough to cover the entire vehicle? or do you apply more after every panel?

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  9 месяцев назад

      Ceramic coating* not clear coat. You definitely will be applying more on to your applicator as you go throughout the entire vehicle.
