Hey Tripp! I’ll post this on your next video too when it comes out, in case you don’t see it here. I was wondering for Warhammer fans in japan and especially Tokyo: how does the community or especially the English speaking community organise meet ups, battles, trades, selling and buying used things like that? The usual forums might be swamped with brits/usa people.. and there’s no eBay in Japan. I will be in japan for some time this year and if you have any advice it would be so helpful!!
hey Tim! There is a very large expat group that plays very often in the tokyo area. they have a discord channel called "wargamers in japan". Hope that helps!
glad to see you recovered from your illness. Hey life happens, but like me, Im sure many of us would have enjoyed another vid of yours regardless of when it would be put out. You seriously make quality content and your sub count really has shown it since you started this channel. Happy holidays and I look forward to another year of your channel and its steady growth if you dont decide to put out one more vid for the remainder of the year
Absolutely love this paint scheme on this model and all the other Tyranids you did. Could you please share what color purple you used first on the carapace edges? The thick highlight not the fine edge highlights. It looks like Xereus Purple or Phoenician purple. Thanks in advance. I’ve hunted around, trying to find the name but can’t so far.
@@thehammerofwrath Actually I realized I probably didn't explain that right. Not the lighter lilac color but the mid tone purple. The one you put on the carapace after painting it black, the darker purple. Is it Xereus purple? Perhaps Genestealer Purple? Sorry for the confusion.
@@thehammerofwrath Hi Tripp, when I was looking up the paint on army crafter It was very late, and I must have clicked the wrong thumbnail by mistake on my phone (fat fingers). Thank you for clarifying! This helps greatly. It's an almost 100% equivalent to Xereus Purple, but the Hexed Lichen seems to have more of a "pop" in color, stronger pigment. I like it very much and will probably pick it up especially since I prefer droppers over pots! tyvm!
Hi, I liked the video. I recently painted mine. I have some issue with him. I hate: face tentacles (one broke and I don't know how o when) also the base is really good one but I struggled really hard to fix him on the correct position, indeed i need to pin the upper leg. I like the model but not so much this kind of Skin "Cape" or "Large Coat".
Awesome paint job. Thank you for sharing.
May have missed Nidvember, but you were just on time for Deathcember!
That model is exceptionally cool!
Thanks!
Great video - been painting my tyranids these days too :) deathleaper definitely on the list! Happy to hear you are feeling better!
Thanks 👍
The best 🙌

Thank you so much for this!! I’ll jump on soon!!
Not sure I'd call us in the discord professionalls, but it is a great community.

@@Joe_Smo yeah I understood what you meant. The darker purple is the one I listed above. the edge highlight / lilac color is that mixed with white.

Nice work on the model. Hope all is well for you. After the earthquakes there?
Other side of the country. Didn't even feel it in Tokyo.

Attaching the model to the base was very tricky. I will never understand why they didn't make the pegs and slots larger and easier to align.
