  • This week we put our mast on, well kind of. We are hoisting the mast onto the boat to measure the stays for a short time before laying it back down again. This process is key to making sure all the stays are swagged at the perfect length. We also have a little adventure day, at Pangkor island, soaking up the sun and taking our twins on their very first swim.

    Its just like my house reno - sick of build, trqdes etc etc Def pleased to see you giving yrself a change of scenery b4 reno fatigue sets in. Your yacht is huge so that yacht in front of you in drone footage must be gi-normous. I had baby/toddlers in asia - think they get more attention there as they really love children.

    WOW! I cannot believe that mast with all the pressure, strength and torque it must withstand is only held by those 4 small nuts??? That seems nuts! I would think it would tear it through the decking easily. I would think there would be a base plate similar to the one above deck to sandwich the mast mount on the deck and spread those forces across the whole area of mount. Not just the 4 little nuts attached underneath?

    The more I see of your boat the more impressed I am with it ! It seems to be SO well built, its amazing. I just get little glimpses but seems to be really well built. I took my Cockapoo to the water today, it was a little wilderness creek, absolutely beautiful, but possibly a little cool (I didn't even put my toe in it, oh well). He seemed to like it. I need to take him around water a lot more as after all, I am CaliforniaKayaker, I spent a ton of time in the water. I love it.The arial views of that place are incredibly interesting, I thought it was Indonesia somewhere but I'm confused, can you tell me ?

    How come you don’t use a back plate for the mast plate seems like the bolts could pull through under great pressure

    • @aannddiiffeerroouuss
      @aannddiiffeerroouuss 5 месяцев назад

      I think the idea is that the cables pull the mast down....if the cables fail I am not sure that bolts would do any good at that point.

    The baby’s look healthy and happy! I was surprised anything would be scheduled on Friday, in most predominantly Muslim areas I have worked in everything starts to shutdown noon Thursday and nothing restarts until Sunday late morning if your lucky?

    That girl Amel deserved love, you have given it to her and now in a short time she is very beautiful.
    I know they have made a great effort, not only in the boat, you can see it with the naked eye. Congratulations, that speaks highly of you.
    P.S. Wow, you have two stowaways on board who are very greedy and in a short time they will leave your pantry and refrigerator empty, otherwise I don't know. Those boys are beautiful. 🎀🎀
    What about The machine. 🤔

  • @hawk8708
    @hawk8708 5 месяцев назад +1

    You have a rigger?!? SO lucky! Our mast was only 45', but we did it basically with a couple guys from the marina and a manual winch. Perspective, eh?

    When you think there is a lot of chlorine in a swimming pool, it doesn't mean there is much. If the pool gets loads of dirt for the chlorine to clean then it feels like there is loads of chlorine in the water, but that feeling isn't related to the actual amount of chlorine in the water, just the amount of cleaning it's been doing.
    I'm thinking perhaps your hotel has the normal amount of chlorine in it's swimming pool and it's just loads of baby's poo and wee, in the water.
