  • How to make 30 Minute Dinner Rolls with simple and basic ingredients. Incredibly yummy and soft for days. You don't need an hour and a half to wait for proofing and rising. This is wonderful and easy to prepare. A perfect addition to any meal, may it breakfast or dinner. All you need is 30 minutes and simple ingredients. Bake along with me my new favorite and go to bread recipe.
    Here's what you'll need:
3 cups all purpose flour or bread flour (375g) spooned and leveled all the time
    1 tablespoon instant yeast (8g)
    1 teaspoon salt (5g)
    1/4 cup sugar (50g)
1 cup warm milk (250ml) full cream or any milk you prefer
    1 large egg (room temp)
1/3 cup unsalted butter (75g) you can skip salt if using salted butter
-You can handknead this too if standmixer is not available, you just need an elbow grease :)
-Baking time may vary depending on your ovens specs. Please adjust accordingly.
-Please make sure to use instant yeast or rapid rise yeast for a quicker proofing.
-Please let me know if you tried this and comment down below for any questions and requests. I would love to hear from you!
Thank you all so much my dear darlings! I can't thank you all personally but please know that I appreciate you all so much. I'm so glad that we're in this baking community together. From the bottom of my heart, I am sending you all the love wherever you are💙💙💙 Stay safe and God bless you all!
    Food for the soul:

This was one of the most successful breads that I've ever made! I think I'll add more salt, garlic, or even rosemary for more flavor but the texture of the bread was nice and again, one of the easier recipes! Thank you!

This receipe is perfect, less time, less effort….and they came out great. I added more flour as the mixture was too wet initially and i added flour until i attained desired consistency, and i let it proof for 45mins before baking. I baked for 30mins @175C and covered the surface with a foil as it was browning faster than i wanted.

Thank you so much for the recipe ! It came out exactly like yours. I used bread flour and added extra two minutes to kneading… the 10 mins proof was not enough for my home kitchen so I let it sit in the turnoff oven covered with a tea towel for 35 mins to allow proper proof…😊 baking time was increased to 20 mins due to my smaller square pan (10”x10”) divided into 12 pieces (approximately 2.3 oz each)
Uber soft and webbed structure- very attractive… and absolutely a time saver. ❤

@@divyaalayamany7523i would think so. Again depending on your climate …I would add a tsp of water gradually should the ratio deems a bit on the drier side 😊 yes to the bread flour …better structure but may needs more liquid .

My first time making dinner rolls. I just bought new artisan @kitchenaid mixer. Out of the box it didn't work. I was so frustrated I forgot to add in the butter. After I added in a bunch more flour to get the butter included it actually was. Ot too bad but very clumpy. What the heck I went forward and rolled up thos little suckers and baked them anyways. Wow 👌 they were still light and fluffy anD so good. I can't wait to try again and then they will be perfect. Thank you for the easy to follow directions. 😊

Made this recipe too, let the dough sit overnight, and the bread came out more like biscuits or cake, the result wasn't satisfying to me. I think it needs more kneading time, about 15 minutes in total to develop elasticity, and also, the fermentation gas must be removed, and then make the little balls after that, then let them raise again and there is when they are ready to stick in the oven. Cooking time should be between 20 to 30 minutes like other recipes suggest.
Not saying this recipe is wrong, but these little details should be emphasized to avoid wasting money and time like I did.

@Daya Fernandez your comment was the only one that I felt was genuine. I knew something didn't add up. There wasn't enough time to get all the steps done in just a half hour, and then bake the rolls. I despise people posting their recipe as the best ever, just to get people to view the video. CLICKBAIT is the comment they deserve. You saved me from wasting my money and, more importantly, my time.

I thought it proofed for 10 minutes because it’s instant yeast , idk much about yeast though

1:37 to the finished dough at 1:39 has a HUGE difference there. The dough goes from wet and breaking apart, to soft and smooth. I think a step is missing for people who have never done this before. Was it kneaded a ton? Was there a lot of flour on the counter? I looked up three other recipes on this and what I noted was, either they cut away the kneading process and adding more flour, or the in one of them, they said "put a little flour on the counter, not too much" then they added many many pinches as they worked the dough, which theirs was sticky, but not wet. So, it sounds like many people simply do the wrong amount of flour, then compensate by adding more as needed while kneading.
We ended up having to add a lot more flour to ours to get it workable and then knead it a lot.
I also think a higher protein flour would work better and you'd need less of it.

Nice, you don’t need to wait for too long. Just wondering what is the difference between proofing and this dinner roll? thanks

The amount of yeast I guess... This recipe needs 1 tbsp of instant yeast. He other bread recipe need only 2 tsps of instant yeast

There is something wrong with this recipe. There is no way 250 ml of milk will work with 375 gr of flour, has to be way more. I used at least 500 gr and the dough barely came together. I mean, am I missing something?

I just measured out and mixed everything and the dough so far too wet to do anything with. I had to add at least another 3/4 fo a full cup of flour.

Idk why it won’t turn out. Tried several times and followed measurements perfectly. It’s always way too sticky and won’t come together to form dough like in the video. I just don’t get it 🤷🏻‍♀️

You just knead it more and more it will itself stop being wet and turn into dough form

Followed this recipe, no mention of needing to proof. With all due respect, following your video does not result in yummy yeast rolls. You’ll turn out with small hard on the outside but raw on the inside dough. Big disappointment

You did something wrong because it worked fine for me. I needed to add 5 minutes to the cooking time though. I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out perfect 🤷‍♂️

Something may be wrong with your instructions because mine turned out dense and doughy. Also had to add more flour in the kneading process and cook time was longer.

  • @pickmeisha

No issues only came out a bit dense and I had 16 pieces. Not sure what happened. I cooked both in regular oven and breville oven and they needed 18-20 mins till done.
