This is my first time baking bread, I was surprised that it turned out soo good.! Now I don't need to buy bread from the store. There's nothing like a fresh baked bread and the smell omg. Love this. Thank you for this recipe.
But how??!! 😩 Mine does not become fluffy, soft and tall like in the video, I've tried it twice and both times they were deflated, thick and dense on the inside. And I've followed every step to the tea. Should I perhaps use bread flour instead of all-purpose flour?
Let me say something about this recipe. My grandmother baked bread during the depression, it was how my mom survived. So needless to say my mother was also amazing with breads and pastries. Now, me I went into brewing and had a brewery and pizza place in Va. So I have some background on bread. This recipe is the Best!. I was flattened when I tasted this. Just blown away. So my mom, God rest her soul made what was called Nutrolls at Christmas. She would fill orders this stuff was so good. It was basically her twist on a Portuguese sweet bread with maple/ pecan fill. Now then I had this French trained chef next door to my brewery and he made, get this- French toast from Portuguese sweet bread. So imagine all these ideas and such when I tasted this. So if you take this bread recipe, bake it, and then make french toast, we will have come full circle my friends!!! It is that good. Thank you for not only the best bread recipe, but overall winner on RUclips for me.🎯 PS, from my brewing experience, it is the sweetness from the lactose that gives this bread it's winning flavor. Lactose cannot be eaten by yeast so it's stays sweet😊
With the amount of sugar the recipe called for was it to sugary or did you not taste the sugar? My sister had a dough recipe but when she made it the bread was so sweet it made me sick so I wanted to try one on my own
@@RoyalTea54 I think you’re adding too much flour. That happened to me when I didn’t weigh out my flour. Also, make sure not to over knead the dough. I can’t stop making this bread it’s too delicious!
Bruh I came here to watch the most delicious bread I've ever seen be made and ended up thinking about past memories because of the music. This is a journey.
I’m soaking in the bath looking at this beautiful bread, I’ve been on keto woe for 2 yrs now. I don’t eat bread but on special occasions. I want to jump out the bath and go buy the ingredients I need and make it now! It will be made for a church dinner for sure. Thank you for a great recipe too.
Isn’t keto WONDERFUL? I eat very very low carbs and absolutely no form of sugar! I cannot eat all of the fat on strict keto cuz it gave my sisters high cholesterol. I lost 160 lbs in a year! I treat myself with this bread once a month and savor every bite!! I have not gained any weight back for 3 years so far!!!
This was my first ever successful bread. My whole family loved it! I agree that it's also a good savory bread since the hint of sweetness is not too much and it has a nice soft, chewy texture. Coupled with savory flavors like garlic, rosemary, and cheese; it tastes heavenly!
I made this and yes it is delish!!! I had preheated my oven before mixing this bread to 170. I shut it off and placed a pan of hot water on the bottom of the oven to create humidity. After I mixed and kneaded I put it in the oven to proof. It worked out great. I took it about 2 hours to double in size. I kept adding hot water to the pan to keep it a warm atmosphere. Just wanted to let you all know that helped me to proof this bread to double and raise. The recipe really is good!
I was just thinking that with so much modern technology around us, why doesn’t an oven range have a proofing feature?!? I really appreciate your idea, I made Phyllis Stokes and son (her son took over her channel after she passed away, but her content is still there and he’s done a wonderful job maintaining her vibe) Angel Biscuits, they are always a hit so I make them for special occasions, anyway, I had a small space heater I would put in my laundry room and it worked great, well that thing stopped working so I used the o my other one SS had, and weirdly it kept causing the breaker to flip, so now I have your genius idea to try the next time I’m making a yeast bread! Edit: I forgot to mention that the Angel biscuits are really more like a dinner roll/biscuit hybrid they are light and yesterday instead of placing them on cookie sheets, I used regular muffin tins, and that will be the way I make them forever, I cut them to a size that was a perfect fit to drop the dough in the tins.

It reminds me of those delicious yeast rolls from the buffets or the taste of the rolls from Texas Road House. 10 out of 10!
I made this using a bread machine I just got for Christmas. (2 1/4 tsp yeast) I waited for it to finish kneading then took it out to coat with oil. I put it back in the machine to rise. Then I took it out and followed the rest of the video. It is so good!
I couldn’t help but wonder about that 2-1/4 cups of yeast. Everything was so well done on this video but I couldn’t see how any loaf of bread would require 2-1/4 cups of yeast. I thought maybe he meant to say 2-1/4 tablespoons of yeast. So you’re saying that 2-1/4 teaspoons worked?
I have just made this bread. I followed the recipe and made two step fudge with the remaining condensed milk as I didn't want to waste it. The bread came out AMAZING! As soon as I was finished glazing it, my husband and son devoured most of the first loaf! lol Thank you for sharing this recipe.
The receipt is awesome ! I have baked it twice and the breads were soft, puffy and delicious. The only problem is I need to add more flour otherwise the dough is way too wet. Man y'all just need to roll the dough out as rectangular as possible. Then put butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Finnaly roll it up long ways and slice into cinnamon rolls. Quick tip: instead of using a knife to cut your rolls use a piece of fishing line, or dental floss. Simply go under the roll and pull both sides of your string over the roll. My tip may seem weird, but using a knife you'll kinda mash your roll which is just a pain in the a$$. Hope this helps ✌✌🖑

Very good. I weighed 400g flour but needed to add more during the kneading process because the dough was far too wet. @@DeadlyNightshade-x In the USA there is: - Sweetened Condensed Milk which is a thick sugary milk good for fudge, caramel, and more, etc. - Canned or Condense Milk. How to make a soft and fluffy, warm and buttery Condensed Milk Bread.
Here's what you'll need:
1 cup milk (250ml) room temp (you can use fresh, UHT or evaporated milk)
¼ cup sweetened condensed milk (75g)
1 egg
2 tbsp sugar (30g)
2 and ¼ tsp instant yeast (7g) (TYPO ERROR IN THE VIDEO--its in TEASPOON not CUP)

1 tsp salt (5g)
¼ cup softened butter (50g)

3 tbsp softened butter (45g)
3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk(45g)
If this glaze is to sweet, use a confectioners glaze, by doing 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk and stir. If this is to thin, you can add more powdered sugar to get a thicker consistency. I also add a couple drops of orange oil to this and is delicious. You can use whatever flavoring you would like, vanilla also would be good. Be careful when using extracts vs oils, they can be double strength so you would use less. Can always add, but you can't take out. (The glaze used above is a little different so I will use a different glaze next time, you'll see what I mean when you make it, some like the texture, others may not.)

Warm your milk to 90°-95° degrees, and be sure to kneed the dough long enough. Oh, and "2.1/4 Tsp YEAST", not cups ~ typo in video. Also, use plastic wrap over the bowl then cover with a towel in a slightly warmed oven at 85° for the rise ~ you want a slow rise 45min-1hr for the first rise, then about the same for the second. All the ingredients and measurements are spot on and I use this recipe for awesome dinner rolls.

Thank you for not only the best bread recipe, but overall winner on RUclips for me.🎯

My kitchen is always cold I crank the heat up and turn my oven on 200* before I even think about making yeast bread.

How did you make it with cinnamon?
Man y'all just need to roll the dough out as rectangular as possible. Then put butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Finnaly roll it up long ways and slice into cinnamon rolls.
Quick tip: instead of using a knife to cut your rolls use a piece of fishing line, or dental floss. Simply go under the roll and pull both sides of your string over the roll. My tip may seem weird, but using a knife you'll kinda mash your roll which is just a pain in the a$$.

One of my best bread yet, I saw the this recipe last night and i decided to try the bread recipe today it is beyond my expectations, so soft, light, fluffy and very tasty thank you a million for this recipe I hope to see many more recipes 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for letting us know. Quite a few have tried this and said it was great. I plan to try it for Thanksgiving. Should be a new hit. Have a great day!
Are you from the USA? For the condensed milk, does it mean sweet condensed milk? Also, what regular milk does it mean? Whole, 2%, something else? 😭 I’m so confused.
Also, did you use unsalted butter or salted butter?
@@DeadlyNightshade-x
In the USA there is:
- Sweetened Condensed Milk which is a thick sugary milk good for fudge, caramel, and more, etc.
- Canned or Condense Milk. It is the consistency of regular milk, but for some a taste between Half &Half and Regular Milk.
There is:
Whole Milk
2%Milk
1%Milk
Skim Milk
No fat Milk
Half & Half Milk
Heavy Cream
Buttermilk
You can make a substitute Buttermilk by adding vinegar to whole milk and recipes can be found online for the correct ratio. I'd tell you the correct ratio, but I don't measure I just put the milk and add vinegar. Adding too much vinegar gives it a vinegary taste some do not like.
Hope this helps you.
@@DeadlyNightshade-x Most recipes when they state butter it means salted unless specified - unsalted butter.
Hope this helps you!
