    I've been wanting to learn to crochet for many years, I've bought books and watched videos, but I have never managed to get anywhere until I came across this video. It's wonderful. Your style of teaching is amazing, and at last, I get it. The way you go over things so patiently, you really do have a gift. Thank you so very much.

    Thank you. Is there a reason why you elect not to count the chain. I’m curious. Chains give me a migraine. They destroy my count unless I’m super concentrating. But it’s rare I can find anyone that doesn’t love that darn chain.
    And finally here you are. Lol
    I guess I’m use to it now.
    Thanks.

    • @CrochetAtoZ
      @CrochetAtoZ  Год назад +1

      The chain is not part of the stitch, which is why I do not count it. Many people make a chain 3 and they count that as a double crochet. This is seamless granny pattern. When you look at the middle of the square you can't tell the beginning because there is no chain 3. Thank you for the great question! Have a nice weekend.

    When you go into the third chain when you’re joining three double crochets to the initial double crochets- when you go into that third chain are you going through one of two sides forming that chain or are you only going through the front or backside of that third chain????

    • @CrochetAtoZ
      @CrochetAtoZ  8 месяцев назад +1

      I am going through the the front and back of the third chain. Gives it a stronger hold.

    How do i know which side is front or back when I finish?

    • @CrochetAtoZ
      @CrochetAtoZ  Год назад +1

      The right side of the square is always facing you because you do not have to turn your work. Also the tail is usually in the wrong side from the middle of the start. I will do a short visual tutorial tomorrow to help recognize it as well.

    I started granny squares a couple days ago for them to be dish cloths - but mine don't lay flat and end up kind of wavy. Is it from my tension not being consistent or am I doing something wrong?

    • @CrochetAtoZ
      @CrochetAtoZ  10 месяцев назад +1

      Jennifer try releasing your tension. Relax and stay positive. We all go through it. I crochet tight myself. Also if you like send me a picture at crochetatoz@yahoo.com I will be happy to look at it. Hope you have a great afternoon.🧶❤️
