- In this fourth video for the GRANNY CIRCLE ALONG
I show you how to make what I have always called a "SQUIRCLE" (a granny circle into a square)
I am using 100% Cotton yarn called CHUNKY THREAD
I used the yarn color TEA ROSE for my square border on my circles & lots of colors from the CHUNKY THREAD YARN collection for my granny circles.
Next up I show you a few ideas on what to make with your squircles...
like an on trend crochet scarf or an adorable pillow to add to your cozy crochet home decor:)
I'm so excited about this crochet along and these projects and I hope that you are too:)
Grab a cuppa...your yarn & hook and enjoy!!
If you are looking for Chunky Thread Yarn simply do a quick google search
(typing in Chunky Thread Yarn by Lori Holt) and you will find many places that stock it.

I love your granny squares and squircles. Please don't stop your crochet tutorials. They are fantastic. Thank you.
Love your colors! Your squircles! And your tutorials!!❤❤
Lori, I love your books/patterns for quilting, I love your fabrics and have been “collecting “ them. And now I love your crochet yarn and what you’re making. I may need to come out of retirement 😉
oh great, like I need another craft to become obsessed with. I love them!
Lori, thank you for another lovely video - I am getting on really well with crocheting and have learnt a lot by watching you. My circles are good and I have made a lovely table topper. I am looking forward to you showing us how you made the larger circle you showed in one of your other videos of this series. All the different stitches around the circle look very interesting. Also looking forward to a tour of your new sewing room. Take care, x
What fun!!! Please make an Afghan with the squircles, even if its lap size! Thank you!!💚
Lori, I love your crochet circles! You have created a crochet monster, lol! I have already made a table runner and a table topper with the circles with lacy border. Now I’m on to squircles for a pillow. Will you be doing a tutorial on how you stitch your squircles together? Thank you so much for your excellent videos!
SQUIRCLES!!! I love them! And they really give each project a completely different look! That thyme pillow is fabulous! Thank you so much for this video, Lori! 🤗
Love your work, thanks ❤
Bee in my bonnet. Perfect name. Reminds me of Mt grandma's bonnet. I have her crochet hook. She showed me how but it's been so long ago. I didn't keep it up. So glad your still doing tutorials
Hello from NC Lori! Thank you so much for creating so many beautiful things with crochet. I love crochet, and love your chunky thread. The colors are so fun, just had to order all your new colors. Love the Schoolhouse red! Have to tell you, my crochet always goes with me whenever my husband and I have doctor appointments. Great to take camping too. The green pillow so pretty! I have my pillow forms ready to go. Thank you!
I have recently purchased your sample yarns - they are so soft and beautiful. I will be getting the full-size soon and I love all of the colours!!❤
Your explanation are so clear, I did the square one and I think I’ll do this one and give it to someone 🇨🇦
Loved meeting you at H + H. Will be watching for the raised flowers and your other projects. Thank you for doing all these videos and sharing your talent.
That was wonderful! I love how you make it look so easy. Beautiful colors too.
You are such an excellent teacher.
Please don’t ever take your tutorials off of UTube. Please.
Gorgeous. You gave me an idea on what to do with my granny squares.
So very excited to learn your steps to make the Squircle!!
I've been making your circles, now I so just need to make more , I love love love this ❤
I love the raisin color. I really need to get your yarn. I made a scrappy granny square afghan last year using my scrap yarn.
I have kit for trying this in June when I’m on a road trip. Love the colors
Hi Lori, you videos are always so wonderful and helpful! I have learned so much from you! Hope one day I can meet you
Thank you for sharing. I like your new word “equivelates”!

Love your tutorials, Lori. Do you have a tutorial for making the pillows?
Love the Squircles!
I love all your videos Lori. Can’t wait for the new sewing room tour.
Love your colors! 💕
What I'd really like to know is where you get your rings from! I love them especially the heart in another video.
Awesome. Thank you so much. ❤❤❤❤
This is awesome. Thank you.
Always enjoy your vedios
Thank you for your wonderful crochet patterns. Will they ever be in a printable form for reference later without rewatching RUclips tutorials?
Hi Lori - are your squares joined in the same way on both cushions? I like the look of a seemless join - will you be showing us how to join the squares? Love your crochet - I am new to this but am a quilter so I am watching all your videos .
Thank you!! ❤
Please do a tutorial on how to make the doilies. I have a place for one, probably more, lol.
Where can I find the darling cup/bowl that you have your yarn in while you work?
LOVE your tutorials!
I didn't see you start from the beginning. You do so many stitches in a circle and how many and what stitches next. Thank you.
Thank you
Do you have pattern books for your crochet projects? How many skeins of yarn would one need to make a pillow out of the squirkes?
Where would I purchase the yarn you use? I love your videos and I am learning, thank you.
This doesn't have anything to do with this video but I saw your Autumn quilt pattern that has pumpkins with sampler blocks in the middle of them. Have you ever considered doing apples with sampler blocks instead of pumpkins?
Does all of your yarns come in the #2 size at 140 yards, or at bigger sizes available? I’m sorry if you already covered this someplace else but I have never crocheted before and I’m wanting to learn. This summer, at our campground we are going to follow your UTube channel. Some know how to crochet and some want to learn. Like ME!!!!
Greetings,
I’m attempting to make a poncho. I start off with four circles to make four panels.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, when it is time to make the square row each circle has different number of stitches, which makes the square u even.
Hi Lori, I've ordered some of your yarn but undecided about winding into balls. Does it require a big set-up? Also wondered where you found the yarn bowls you've painted? TIA
Is all the yarn used for the pillow cotton? Its beautiful
Lori - Are items made from your beautiful yarn machine washable (or dryable)?
Hi Lori, how much yarn should I get for the borders if I want to make the same scarf? 18 squares. Thanks!
Do you prefer cotton yarn
I just want to find the right yarns..I love chrochet but any acrylic 4 or higher just feels frumpy
Such as, with what your crocheting, how many of the pinkish skeins are need to do a pillow? I’m sorry for all the questions.
What is H&H America?
Can i use a 4weight? Thats too thin for me to use! What size hook for a 4 weight?
Yes! 5.0 or 5.5 would work.
