As an experienced crocheter, the very basic explanation sometimes is distracting. BUT, as a retired elementary teacher, I find the basics very refreshing. Thank you for the excellent video.

I teach crochet to 3rd graders! I use a verse we just do single crochet. “Under the bridge of 2 hook a fish pull it through, now there’s two. Hook another one pull it through and now your done.”

This is awesome. I have made a couple of these and they are beautiful. My question is, do you have instructions on how to create an edging that would make these into squares for a blanket? Thanks! ❤️

So cute!!! I always have trouble with the last stitch for some reason, sometimes I can hardly see it? I think my tension is too tight. I love your nails! Are these press ons or some other sort? Beautiful!

Please tell me where I can buy the largest skeins? - 50 gram? It's for personal use only...🤷‍♀️🥺 I like all 26 colors or fewer if I can find it. I'm just in love with all the pretty colors! Very motivating❣

Would love to try this yarn but 18$ to 25$ for 50 grams of cotton yarn I don’t think so. Way way to expensive. When I can get 3.99 or less for on knit picks. 🇨🇦

First up, you are not showing skeins of yarn, those are balls. Skeins are long loops of yarn straight from the mill, dyed or not, and ready to ball up, twisted around themselves with one end pushed throught the loop on the other, to stop it all unravelling. You cannot knit or crochet from a skein, without a lot of mucking about unless it is first re-rolled into balls, such as what you have there. My mum used to get her kids, me included, to sit with their hands out to hold the skein up. So she could re-roll yarn into round balls, to make our jumpers, hers and dad's. If you had an old fashioned chair with taller bits on two corners of it's back, this was their purpose too. She never owned a wool winder, she had 8 kids.
