- Just wanted to share my favorite settings on my Osmo Action 4 for everyday shooting. These settings allow me to get awesome image quality without having to fiddle with settings at all. hope this helps someone out there. Comment down below. Mahalo!
Settings:
4k 24 fps
Stabilization: rocksteady (regular)
Standard (Dewarp)
D-Log M color
shutter: Auto (1/100-1/8000)
ISO: 100-3200
sharpness: -2
noise reduction: -2
mic: auto

Great video! Really nice to see one that is about the basics of getting the best out of an action camera. Too many YT vids pitching to make an action camera something that it isn't! If you want a pro quality video camera, buy one of those and stop messing around with cheap action cameras! Great vid, thumbs up from me and a new sub. Best, Mark (UK)

Hi ive been debating on getting nd filters for my Action4. Ive seen as my good reviews as bad; im going on vacation to Florida next month. What's your opinion on them or pl nd filters? I subscribed yesterday! Thx!
@@imboredDB They help keep the shutter speed down if you’re concerned about getting proper motion blur. However, if the shutter speed goes below 1/100, the stabilization creates weird artifacts. So it’s a trade off. Thanks for the sub as well.

I shot my very first video on auto not understanding dlogm. My video turned out great, now im going to do it more often! Can I still edit on my computer in this setting auto successfully for minor edits? Thanks!😊
@@imboredDB yeah. You should. I’ve been using these settings with the Phantom LUTS lately (also made a video about them) and I like the results.

Would you mind educating me? I see the 100-3200 ISO option but for shutter I don't see an option for 100-8000. I see separate options from 100 all the way up until 8000

Was just about to reply. The touchscreen is kinda finicky. I have to tap it a few times to get it to respond. Glad you figured it out.

Isntead fo D log M can we use these same setting for Normal color as well?

Im using your recommendations right now with natural sunlight and in the window on a very sunny day. Why is it too dark?
If you’re backlit, or have a large bright area in the shot it will prioritize that. I find that all the Dji cameras do that in d log m.

Nah. Keep it simple, but if you really want ultra smooth footage, the zhiyun m3 is a nice small one.

It’s on auto with the minimum set to 1/100.

I have counted 172 videos about the "revolutionary" DJI Action 4 on RUclips so far. So, honestly, does this camera, which is not revolutionary at all, deserve all this attention? And my biggest question is: DOES DJI GIVE RUclipsRS ANYTHING IN RETURN FOR TALKING SO MUCH ABOUT IT? The current marketing strategy of companies is like this, they copied it from Apple, Sony, GoPro, and lately, Insta360 joined in, which already exhausted us with its Go3 and tormented us with its gimbal, and of course, DJI. So, are these "sponsored" reviews honest? Or do we have to wait for some regular users to discover that they catch fire after a while, as happened with the A2, or that they don't focus properly, as happened with the A3?
It’s definitely not revolutionary. It works, though. Also, I have 8 subscribers. No sponsorships here. 😂 I really do appreciate the honest comment, though. ✌🏽
Perhaps buying one and trying it out like the rest of us would be easier than posting dramatic bs on social media. Return policies are a thing.
The camera is far better that f***ing freezing gopro. It works and does all what you need almost flawlesly.
