I've already tested the Auto track feature and I love it. This is great update to the Air 3 and it helps make the Air 3 my favorite drone. Great information on the update, and nice testing. Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas.
Update question - my understanding is that we can now record screen shots directly to the remote SD card. 1) How do we set that up? 2) Will that include the recording of audio? We like to slate our shots verbally but haven't been able to figure out that solution. Thanks!
DJI messed up with this new update. Except for the third camera on the mavic 3 pro, the air 3 is just a slightly smaller version, which eliminates the need to buy the 3 pro.
Making a video about not keeping line of sight as a Part 107 operator is genius! When they ban drones, we can thank people like you for making an entire video about not watching your drone. Maybe they'll use this in Senate hearings as why drones in the US should be banned. Thumbs up to you!
Nobody seems to list the 1km previous possible altitude has been nerfed to 500 meters with this update. I still would have updated.. But it would have been nice to have made an informed choice.
Do you think Active Track 360 will come to the Mavic 3 Pro eventually too? Pretty bummed they added all the same features to the recent update except for that one.
The 5 features are great, but I’m Wondering why no one is commenting on the fly app addition of Smartshots settings? Seems pretty important, but not enough for DJI to release any instructions.
Nothing was mentioned about the smart shot settings in the Control page of the controller; seems to be very little that I can find regarding these settings

Kyle, I just completed the firmware for both the Air 3 and the Mavic 3 Classic that I use for work. Thanks for your video explaining the updates and new features. Do you know if after the firmware is updated it keeps your custom RTH settings? These drones are not my property and I dropped them off at work so I cannot check at the moment. I changed the RTH from the factory default to another method that works best for us and our location. Thanks again.
I'd have really loved to see a "Clean HDMI out" in the update. The RC pro and smart controller does support either the mini 4 and Air 3 so there is no way to get a clean HDMI out on this drones.
I really wish people would stop using the term game changing so freely. Nothing here is game changing it’s more of an extra convenience trickled down to lower models
The Vision Assist feature in general is game changing. It coming to a different drone isn’t necessarily what I’m referring to. For example, this feature now alleviates the need to fly with 2 pilots to see what might be in the way. So yes, Vision Assist is game changing.

Man I sold my mavic 3 as I wasn’t flying it all the time and figured I’d upgrade to mavic 3 pro. But now since this update, I’m really looking at the air 3! If this drone is this good, the next mavic pro is about to be a problem. I am now going to sell my rcpro and mini 3!
Hi Billy, Love your videos and am subscribed. I can't figure out just how to turn off the downward sensors in the settings. You sort of left me hanging there. Please help? I went out on a boat yesterday and although I turned off obstacle detection, and put the drone in sport mode, it still kept trying to get away from my hand catch. Couldn't figure out what else to do. Darn near lost the thing.
I’m sure the goal of these latest updates are to insure that everyone must comply with remote id. Out of the box my Air3 I’ve been able to fly, I fear the updates will enable remote id and keep me grounded with nfz.

No flight time impact
What about explorer mode that is in the 3 pro. That allows you to go from one camera to the 28x camera without stopping the video to change cameras
You can’t be the same digital zoom because you don’t have the 7x tele camera. Explorer mode is only on the Mavic 3.
