Hello my friend, how are you? Is it possible to do this same type of FPV flight by replacing the DJI goggles with the DroneMask 2 goggles? Will the NEO work in manual mode only with the FPV controller? I'm worried about whether it's possible to turn off the stabilization if I want to use the gyroflow later.
Probably the BEST video on showing how to use the Neo in FPV mode so far. Every other RUclipsr seems to try and be Mr Steele with it and then complains about it. People need to stop for a second and realise what they are watching here - a 135g "whoop" with O4 video and its range , and 10 mins flying. That is fantastic. Imagine what Neo 2 is going to be like! ( hint DJI - make it 249g and you will have an Avata mini! ).
It's equipped with O4 video transmission, but not the actual O4 video camera like the one from the Avata 2. The Neo camera is not even at the level of the O3 camera on the first Avata. The Neo uses a lower quality camera with a half inch sensor that provides very decent video for the price. But if the Neo had an O4 camera, it would have cannibalized sales from the Avata 2. We all WISH it had O4 video, and even O3 video would have been great. Maybe for the next version.
IKR I'm seeing so many negative comments, but as someone who owns and flies 5-inch freestyle quads and has a fleet of tiny whoops (one whoop with an HD DJI camera), it only gets 2-4 minutes of flight time, has zero autonomous features, and costs WAY more (like $300-$350). I see this Neo here as a GREAT HD-style whoop for the price-to-performance ratio (minus the fact I can't use Crossfire, etc.).
My big complaint is that the cost of goggles and controller doesn't make this that much cheaper than the far superior Avata2. Smaller size/weight is only real advantage.
@@Phrancis5 Yes very true but at the Moment the Neo is more targeted at beginner fpv Pilots in the sense that it would be for a new pilot who's friends/parents etc. Already have the Googles 3 and the Motion controller. There is also a rumour floating around that DJI will release a cheaper version of the Googles for the Neo that will cost around 250€ or so which would make a lot more sense as an entry level FPV package.
@@Phrancis5 It doesnt even cost half as much as the avata. The Motion fly more combo with goggles and the controller is around 500 bucks, the avata 2 with goggles and controller 1200.
@@DoktorElmo Look at my comment date. The N3 goggles wasn't released yet and this combo didn't exist when I made my comment. The Goggles 3 alone was already $500 + the motion controller + the Neo itself.
I wish dji would set the neo up so it will work with the goggles 2 and the controller 2. Can’t see spending money on new goggles and controller for the neo. If they did that I would definitely buy one. The size of the Neo really appeals to me and would be great to introduce drones to my grandkids.
Once the goggles 2 and all of that crap is supported then it will make sense as a micro fpv drone but right now it's $799 just for the goggles which is crazy for the price of the goggles you could get 4 DJI Neos which is just crazy expensive
@@TheHoodieStore I sure hope you’re correct. I think it’s great dji coming out with a fpv that’s less than 250. It will be great around the front and backyard. Also 2 days ago my grandson said he wants to fly a drone. He watches me fly my avata 1 and mini pro 3.
The DJI Neo is *THE* drone that almost everyone will want and be happy with it has so many features and its so cheap DJI made a good choice making this nugget of a drone
Billy, great flight with the Neo in manual. I was looking forward to you flying underneath the moving train, it would have been a fantastic maneuver, maybe next flight! 8:51
I was just watching another Neo review where he’s demonstrating some pretty wild moves but didn’t include the video from the Neo. This video on the other hand clearly shows the difference between a regular drone video shot by a Mini 4 Pro and the Neo. The Minis just do not have the agility to do what the Neo does👍😄
When flying in manual or any other mode, do you adjust the sticks resistance on the back of the remote? If so, what's your settings perhaps maybe you can make a video about this topic 🙏
Youre video strat me thinking that I should reconfigure switches in my fpv radio to have angle mode and gps rescue at more acessable buttons to react quickly enough. Great video. Cheers 🖐

Looking at the criticisms online people wanted 4k/120fps D-log full frame sensor, more speed, agility and battery life than the Avata 2 with included goggles and remote for $200. Seeing all of the negative reviews show you how out of touch some people are.
Personally I want this portability, but, image quality is the 'main' consideration for me. I have the mini pro 3 which produces the quality I want (10 bit). I am hoping for a Neo Pro version in the future.
Is it possible to set the 'camera' to 'manual' mode in the Fly application. That is fixed infinity focus, fixed WB and shutter speed ? Some one else mentioned it is possible to change the 'sharpness setting to -2; in your opinion does that improve the image quality ? I hate white sky blow outs !!
I am starting to fly Manual FPV with my Avata2, for now only with sim. I bought the Neo to try to be a better FPV pilot before I start flying Manual with the Avata2.
absolutely agreed. the video quality could be way better. Idk, it's kinda blurry. I noticed that already at your last unboxing video. Is this actually filmed in 4k 30fps? This took only a 10mins flight til the battery died, lol. active track or follow me is a nice feature to have but without obstacle avoidance risky too.
I was surprised at how well it flew as an FPV drone, did you fly the entire flight in manuel? I hoped the camera would have a litter better also, hopefully they can improve it a little via firmware updates. Great video Billy, and thanks for sharing.

I have the Avata 2 and the Goggles and RC controller. After I set them up with the new Neo, if I want to fly the Avata 2 do I need to set that up again or will it automatically connect?
You only need to bind each device to the goggles once holding the power button and waiting for the beeps. Then you toggle which device you want to fly in the goggles. Right on the goggles D pad, click status, then a yellow switch button appears in the pop-up menu.
