Completely agree with you. I bought DJI Neo Fly More, separate MC3, goggles 3 and i just can't get hang on that motion controller. It's just... weird to use. Not to mention you can use FPV Controller 3 with any FPV drone with O3 (and possibly O4) unit (unlike MC), which makes entry into FPV hobby much easier.
I think the motion controller has it's spot, like if I have to let really inexperienced people try is somewhat more intuitive, but for anybody else the FPV controller is a much better option and it's sad not seeing a combo kit featuring it
Hey totally unrelated question which solder gun do you recommend? I seen these squire and small portable soldering guns do you happen to recommend any or you use a classic station that you recommend. Thanks do the content! Also be good if to make some Co tent on building g and fog tips thanks again.
Avata 2, action 4 and o4 system have the same quality (slightly better than GoPro), O3 and avata 1 same camera 90/95% of GoPro, neo 65% of GoPro quality is that worse, bad dynamic range, frame rates are weird, low light sucks, low definition too much sharpness and no flat color
Yes they are, just keep in mind they are only compatible with avata 2 and neo at this time, will for sure be compatible with more stuff in the near future
Bought the fly more combo and thinking of getting goggles at some point in time. I see the neo as a perfect starer to learn, have fun, get some footage (even if it is not perfect). So far I am happy with it Does the fpv controller something much more different then the one from the fly more combo?
I remember like it was yesterday that I followed your channel for the Eachine cinecan. Then now its the DJI Neo fpv combo. try some fpv maneuvers as if its a fast tinywhoop. hehe
Oh daaamn how the time has passed! For sure the cinecan flew much better than neo ahaha, can't do much more than I did with it, it just has to many washouts
Thanks for this video buddy. I was undecided between the motion controller or the fpv3 controller. As a newbie I think I will go straight for the fpv3 😊
Love that you told the truth about the Neo not being the greatest flyer and not having the best camera. I swear I’m going to buy the new goggles just to see if they’re better than the G3’s…I don’t think they can compare based on price but you make me want to buy them…lol
Where can we buy the combo kit that you are showing? The links look like they go straight to the drone by itself? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong links...
100% agree. It would great if DJI offered the Avata 2 and Neo with the RC3. And the price is $200 in the U.S! Outrageous! The Radiomaster Pocket is higher quality and it only costs $55 USD or $60 with batteries. I haven't touched the motion controller after getting the RC3. I think I only used the MC three times.
@@Rimzler yep. By spending loads of money up-front, I won’t need to upgrade the controllers and goggles later. Lol But I do think the Neo+Goggles N3 package is a good deal. In any configuration, the Controller 3 isn’t bundled so it will always need to be bought separately as far as we know.
I'm new to this so plz can s.o. explain why you simply cannot use the standard RC controllers like RC2 or RC-N3 to fly FPV with Goggles? I means the joystick controls are the same?!?
Because DJI didn't make them compatible, also the FPV controller throttle can be made so it doesn't center anymore on the vertical axis, so you can fly in manual mode
Great video! I do not own the Neo, but I did get the Avata 2 back in September. But only after getting the FPV RC3 and practicing in the sim for a few hours. And I agree with your sentiment - I haven't even unpacked the Motion Controller 3, because I thought it would create bad habits when what I really wanted was to learn to fly "real" FPV. I feel I made a good call there. I may have an MC3 for sale, if anyone should be interested :)
I agree, I used the RC3 remote for maybe 1 day before buying the FPV remote. It’s much better, but definitely practice on a simulator before switching to manual mode. I crashed my Neo as soon as I switched to manual mode. It’s much harder than Sport mode if you never tried it before.
Thanks for this review, specially by compare both controllers. Since I already have the Neo with RC N3,I’ll look to buy the FPV RC instead of the motion, and the Né Goggles.
Hi, just a recommendation here: Your video title is "Don't Waste Your Money on DJI NEO Motion Combo Until You See This!". It would make a bit more sense if you said something more like "Don't buy the DJI NEO Motion Combo Until You See This!". You should probably change the title sooner than later... just a recommendation. 😀
Do you have 2 DJI Neos now? I already bought the fly more combo so I'm a bit hesitant in buying this DJI Neo + Goggles N3 combo or just the Goggles N3 separately because I feel I relatively pay much more for the Goggles N3 and Motion 3 when bought separately ..
Old one got returned, and this one will too🤣 used market is flooded with cheap Neos but I don't really have any use for it since I have the hover Air pro max that produces good quality footage
@Jonathan_Graff I was one of the first to get it, but a week later they released an update that made my beacon not connect anymore, and since then I've been waiting for the ability to update it via usb, they are working on it Quick review: the drone is good, like the X1 but with a much much better camera, but probably not worth the price for most people Accessories are not well developed yet including the beacon, they are still working on the functions but it's a little bit too late after release, also the obstacle avoidance stops working when the drone moves past walking speed
Specs are only a part of the camera performance, like a 1080p 60fps coming from a full frame will be much different and better This is a kind of crap camera on the neo, once you record and stabilize there is nothing much left, and the colors, dynamic range really suck, so yeah can be used for some personal stuff maybe but imagine the avata2 quality on it, could have been used for real estate work, vlogs, more professional and quality videos
@ no no it’s a totally different thing. I fly every DJI drones every day for work, but the Neo is the one who cannot be drove safely without gps and without a good lightning environment. I flew it yesterday during a work and it loosed its position hold, started to fly everywhere and I had to take it with my hand to avoid more damage… never had problems like this with my avata 2 (nor the avata 1), mini 4 pro, mini 3 pro, mavic 3 cine ecc ecc
@@SimoneAragno I unfortunately know this happens with Neo but my experience is limited to standard RC. Does this happen to you in FPV manual mode? Because I thought in M you'd really have control without any drone buildin safely algorithms which in case of Neo under these conditions seems to endanger the drone rather than keep it save
@@stefw0200 no, it won't happen in manual mode, but yeah, in manual mode there is no "holding position" at all, and unless you are quite experienced, manual is not so safe indoors :)
The motion controller is not right for me, i want proper control, i can already fly with analogue but just want to get into digital for a better picture without breaking the bank.

Ciao Andrea, nice video! May I ask you how is the video quality of the Neo if compared to a DJI O3 unit?
Avata 2, action 4 and o4 system have the same quality (slightly better than GoPro), O3 and avata 1 same camera 90/95% of GoPro, neo 65% of GoPro quality is that worse, bad dynamic range, frame rates are weird, low light sucks, low definition too much sharpness and no flat color

If you have to choose between the two get the FPV controller, will allow you to fly more precise and progress your skill!

Mi spiace che non esista una combo fatta bene, però si purtroppo bisogna metterlo in conto
Would the fly more combo with the extra battery be the best deal and, buying the googles n3 parred?
Yes but then you have the controller in the combo that can't be used for FPV sadly
@Rimzler thank you this is the kind of information I needed! 👍🎯
Neo + RC3 + Goggles 3 is best, but it’s the most expensive Neo setup. I plan to upgrade the drone soon but the RC3 and G3 don’t need to be upgraded.
Yeah but you'll be able to connect to any other drone sporting DJI systems, so it's worth it

Can you sugget a dji o3 kit for an intermediate
HOW much is the box? you never mention it

id say its made for vlogs mainly, theres the manual mode just for the feel, if you want an actual good fpv drone get a toothpick or a cinewhoop
