Nice tests! I had the exact same thing happen while test flying the NEO over a river while kayak fishing. The bottom sensors cannot handle the reflective surface of the water; the drone lost contact with me and hovered off in the distance. It would have crashed in the river, had I not switched over to manual flight mode using the DJI FLY app (I've flown the Mavic Pro in the past for work, so I was familiar with manual flight controls). I landed it on my yak safely. A few weeks ago, I put out a video on my channel detailing this issue with Intelligent Flight modes and the sensor issues over water. I now use the RC3 to control the flights over water (better to be safe!). The Neo is a great little drone, it serves a useful purpose for social media/YT.
Nice Test - got the Neo myself, as a little plaything when my avata 2 batteries are recharging. When going to fly FPV now I spot the location with the neo and then rip the avata 2 :D bought the drone as single, and added 2 batteries and the charger, as I already have the Mini 4 Pro with RC-2 and the Avata 2 with Goggles, Motion RC3 and FPV RC3, so I did not need the RC-N3. Your "sinking" was beacause in autonomous flight it checks the ground with the tiny sensors in the bottom. The water was very calm and mirrorlike in your first try, so the sensors could not get a good reading for distance (DJI even states, that you should avoid flying it over water). In your second flight attemt the water surface was way rougher, so the sensors could get a better reading. when using a Controller (RC-N2, RC-2 or the RC-N3 from the fly more combo) you can get more distance even in the Tracking-Modes, just like your Mavic (but not as good of a quality :D). I set the sharpness to -2 in the Goggles for way better looking footage. When fixing the the shutterspeed and white balance, you can get quite usable footage out of it - unfortunately that is not possible in the autonomous modes or when controlling the drone via smartphone right now.
It's really handy - just did a quick roof inspection with this without breaking out the big guns. Last time I took Matrice 30 out to do the same thing I've scared the living dead out of my neighbours! 100% there with you with the water - I've had the first Mavic doing automatic landing in Tarifa, Spain, when filming my mates surfing in glassy conditions - way too far to go and grab it and it wasn't reacting to controls either... one of the many that got whacked in the line of duty with me... Good shout on the googles / controller, my replacement RC3 is coming in tomorrow so I'll give it a shot. There are some epic applications for DJI Neo - this little drone can be really handy - I'm getting less anxiety when my kids are flying it about rather than Avata 2 😂
@@JakeOski There are the first ND Filters for the Neo on the Market as well. I will get a set in the coming days. I am very interested how the image handles in automatic mode, when "tricking" the neo to fix the exposure. Hopefully it will change the shutter speed and not the ISO, so even in Auto Mode you get better footage :D

I think the big selling point of this drone is that it can crash multiple times and it is not a worry. That in itself is worth the money. I don't think they'll put a LOG on this kind of drone anytime soon - that's DJI's gateway dugg to Avata, Mini Pro and Mavic series ;-) And totally agree on robustness - because it's so light, falling out of the sky or hitting objects does very little damage :)

Just curious on your opinion on a drone for social media (solo travelling), I like the neo for its price point and simplicity.. you’ve compared this to the mavic 2. From just before the neo’s release I was set on buying a DJI mini pro 4 Would you recommend the mini pro 4 AND a neo? just one of them? OR would you recommend a different drone altogether?
Depends on your budget as these are two totally different drones. If you're looking to add a controller and googles do DJI Neo I personally wouldn't. The DJI Mini Pro 4 is far superior in terms of range, wind resistance (still nowhere near Mavic mind) and the footage quality is miles better on the Pro. For travelling, personally, the Mini Pro 4 would be my choice. With DJI Neo being so cheap I'll have it with me for just walk around the town kinda shots though as it's so compact.
My Neo went underwater for a good 10 seconds. I immediately whipped it around to get the water out and finally buried it with uncooked rice 15 mins later. To my surprise, after 24 hours it's flying like usual again!
Enjoyable video well done. My Neo shipped today and should arrive Monday. My dog doesn't mind the drone outside and I'm hoping to get footage of her having Dobe fun when we do training. Got some great shots with the Avata 2.
Ah, good stuff! My one is scared of a lot of stuff - including my electric skateboards. Somehow, she's fine with the Onewheel... might be something in the high-pitch noise that throws her off.
Fantastic video! Now I’m very happy I took the leap on this one. I have the Hover Air1 & was about to purchase The Hover Air Pro due to its new capabilities of flying over water but the DJI is $289 cheaper. Can’t wait to capture some Kayaking footage. Thanks for putting together a great video!!!
Mate, 100% this, shame I didn't had a camera on the nose of my board to record the look on my face when I've heard propellers stop 🤦🏻♂️ All good though! The saving grace was the fresh water, if that would be sea it wouldn't come back on for sure.
it would be handy to have a can of compress air if the drone goes swimming. Quickly remove battery, and blow out moisture in all the holes of the drone, and let dry.
The issue was the water being too reflective in the morning with no wind to give it texture. It says in the DJI Neo manual not to fly it over the water... but yeah, looks like it's working when there's a bit of wind!
Thanks, still my favourite all water race board! I’d probs get something like Mini 4 - this was a lucky escape but I’m not sure DJI will be able to deal with the water reflections confusing the Neo into landing - just to be careful!
For that price and the ammount of sensors this drone has (it has ZERO Collision avoidance sensors) it does REALLY REALLY well! The drone really tries to take the same path as her target and for the most part it was spot on. I'd say sometimes the only reason this drone can keep up with you is because of the missing sensors. The drone doesn't care if there is a branch or Tree 1 cm next to it.
Haha totally, it does it's front 'risk assessment' visually so it stops if there's an obvious branch. For smaller stuff... yeah it goes into them. That's why profile shots only work on DJI Neo when you're in an open space. Overall - it's really impressive for the price!
Just standard Follow / Medium / High setting in 4k/30. The second time it worked due to water having some texture to it thanks to the wind. I wouldn't recommend flying DJI Neo over glossy water... or any water for that matter as per manual that I've never read 🤣
Nice. I tested also mine and on follow it looses me over 18 KM/H on direction track... I think it is not able to track when I run fast but on follow it is able to do quite good.
Haha yeah they weren't really designed for how far we'll push them 😂 I was really surprised it kept up with me on the Exway Atlas Pro skateboard, maybe because there was no wind? Also, do a software update if you haven't already, they've improved tracking a little bit. Keen to see what future updates will do!
Does the Neo always sink if it crashes in water or does it float? If it sinks, is there some kind of foam we could stick to it to make it float just in case?
Very true, I'm waiting to see if DJI releases the Mini 5 Pro just for the ease of use. My problem with smaller drones though is their weak wind resistance as I often fly in pretty windy conditions when filming our commercial kitesurfing trips. I've got a license so that's not a problem but having a smaller drone to travel with that's still capable to film in LOG and fight the wind a bit better would be epic. Not sure if that's realistically achievable in under 250 grams though!
I like your video of the Neo. You have a good personality and are fun to “go along with” on your adventures. Thank you for sharing that the water is difficult for the drone, and that it can be recovered. I have mine on order and it will arrive in a week or two. I also own the other selfie drone, the Hover X1. I love it and have taken it on vacation in the Carribean. Other people were fascinated with it. The fact that it folds up and fits in my pocket is a real plus. I ordered the DJI Neo so I would have it before the “Countering CCP Drones” act goes into law over here in the USA. My possible last DJI drone purchase until and unless that law goes away…right now it looks like it will pass. At the moment I have the Mini 4 Pro and the Avata 2 with all of the associated controllers and goggles, so it seemed natural that I order the Neo. Plus the latest FPV controller 3 (not sure what it is exactly called), two extra batteries and the three battery charger from DJI. I like my assortment of drones. I use the larger ones under certain conditions, and the use case for my two smaller ones is a hybrid. One for vacations and walks at the local harbor, and the other for when I’m at a more dedicated location (e.g. park or larger space) for FPV. While I have the goggles and flight stick, I haven’t yet really sat down and used them, even the Avata yet. I just need to find the time. Maybe on my next vacation, not sure. In any case I enjoy this as a hobby and look forward to enjoying the gear that I have for many years to come.
Thanks for your kind words Phil! I really hope that act won't come to pass, there are no viable alternatives to DJI drones right now and it just seems like a bunch of uninformed wastes of space having a power trip. Remember when Congress was interrogating TikTok's CEO asking him if his app can connect to WiFi? 😂 They're all not fit for purpose anymore... Totally with you on the drones - I was tempted by the Mini 4 Pro for the simplicity and pretty much the same image quality as Mavic Pro 2 but I might hold off till the 5th version comes out next year. MP2 Pro is my daily workhorse and it's superb in windy conditions - be it when sailing or filming our kitesurfing trips and lessons around the world. I'm super new to FPV and managed to crash the Avata 2 couple of times already but the thing keeps on going strong! First time ever I have actually purchased DJI Refresh for that very reason. It's an epic drone so far, I wasn't expecting that kind of picture quality - I should've got it earlier. I'll drop a newbie video on it soon. I hope you'll find Neo as much fun as I do (and my kids!) - great little travel companion :)
Mainly Canon R8 currently, my R6 bit the dust a while back, I wanted to replace it but the R8 kinda does everything and weighs less. I'm missing IBIS a bit, however on wide focal lengths it was always jittery so R8 + 24-70 f2.8 IS + digital stabilisation does the job for all walking stuff (have a look at my review of Shokz Openrun Pro 2, all forest sequence of walking and running was recored with that setup)
Hi, your video was a great help, but I still wanted to ask you a question. I'm a kitesurfing instructor like you and I was thinking of getting the drone in question to film myself while sailing in the sea. Do you think it risks falling into the water like what happened in the video? What parameters did you change the second time to make it fly well on the water? If I don't buy the DJI Neo, what cheap drone do you think I can buy that has the follow me function so that I can be filmed independently without a pilot? Thank you very much in advance.
I haven’t found a solid solution for this yet. With kite lines being the main danger as they’re not being picked up by any sensors but also because it’s a bit of unpredictable sport. In theory Skydio should fit the bill but I’m not 100%. You can always set the Mavic 2 pro or 3 (they’ve got MUCH better wind resistance than Neo/Mini) at say 30m (if folk aren’t boosting) and get it to follow you highlighting your kite. Personally, I always ask someone to film and we just take turns, it’s much safer that way:)
I said this on a couple other video's already but, be very aware with water! My Neo decided to land when i executed a dronie from the side over water expecting for the Neo to return to me after 10 meters. Unfortunatly after a couple meters in my Neo decided to land....in the water. Before i knew it my Neo was swimming on the bottom of the lake. So watch out with quickshots on water! DJI send me a new one with a instruction to not fly the Neo lower then 10 meter above water. So the quickshots from the hand are a no go when you on water.
DJI replaced it for free? With or without Care Refresh? Same thing happened to me just now and I am in the process of fixing/replacing. Can you share how you went about it?
@@Roypeleg7 I did not had Care Refresh at that point, i do now tho 😉 What i did was i reported a Flyaway with a screenrecording of the flightrecord. On the flightrecord you can clearly seeing it landing on water. Also explain exactly what happend. Also make sure to upload your flightrecord into the cloud so that DJI can analyze it. They looked into it and told me that i should not fly it over water under 10 meters. So they called it a non-manufacturing error and therefore this case was not eligible for a free replacement. But because i own more DJI products they offered me a free replacement for it, so i am very lucky 😅 Maybe also because it happend in releaseweek. Good luck with it man 🤞🏽
LOL the Neo just drowned himself :-D , nice video !! I have mavic pro 2 ... I'm actually thinking to get a neo cause is so so small.. sometimes carry mavic 2 for purely recreative shots is a lot . They can ( probably will) make a better(improved) version of this Neo and i'm sure that will be a big hit !
I flew mine in manual mode and went over the top of some filled trash bags in the yard with leaves. About .5 meters above the bags. The bags ruffled and the Neo went crazy, flew sideways and down and crashed. Seems the sensors don’t like movement under them. Like what the water might do at close distance.
That’s wired, I thought that DJI Neo only has an issue like this with reflective surfaces - such us undisturbed water. I’ll have a go at trying to make it crash over then :)
Most likely the Mavic has a nd fileter or some sort of coating on the lenscover. Did you try the Neo with ND filter ND4 for example? I would think like that it can produce more cinematic images.
@@JakeOski Thanks. I've ordered my Neo and ordered ND filters straight away. I know it's not real 4K but maybe it can produce nice images for social media with a filter. It's a bummer however that the camerasettings are not available for Pro mode without the controller on a phone, only auto iso, auto exposure which sucks.
@@iammz81I agree! I think they've just made everything auto in standalone mode for every-day Neo users. I'm hoping DJI will change that in the future updates though. The whole idea of DJI Neo to me is that I don't have to carry my RC and goggles with me. Otherwise I'd just take either the Avata or Mavic since they're about the same weight...
@@JakeOski Exactly... what is the purpose of haveing camera settings, when you cannot use it? And not only noobs will buy this, but not everyone wants to have all the other accessories.
@@iammz81 I'm sure they'll add this down the line, they always keep updating their drones. Otherwise, after adding all the accessories, something like DJI Mini Pro 4 (or 3) makes more sense if someone's after an under 250g drone - that will produce a far superior footage anyway.
According to the manual, which I've read after drowning it 😂 it says not to fly above water - it's got less issues when there's some wind giving the water some texture though.

It would be great if they could figure out some way to make it less NOISY !
HEY I HAVE A QUESTION... IF SUPPOSE DRONE RANGE IS 80 METERS AND WE ARE ON MOUNTAIN AND WANT TO SHOOT THE VALLEY ... SO THE DRONE CALCULATES HEIGHT FROM GROUND LEVEL OR FROM THE POINT WHERE IT TOOK A TAKE OFF ?
I got a mini 4 pro and the Avata 2 and I love both of them but I'm still gonna get myself a Neo It's small and looks like a good wee drone to buzz around the house with
That might be down to my rushed colour grading on the Mavic which I realised after uploading. But overall yeah, for such a tiny drone with such a tiny sensor the Neo definitely pulls its weight! I’ll upload another video with the new software soon and different settings. You can actually get much better footage out of it!
I accidentally pressed the auto launch and couldn't find a way to cancel it whilst holding it so I had a bit of a fight with it as it want to take off and do its thing. the power off didn't even work. It would be good to have a kill button. Mine is brand new and not even getting 10 minutes flight in good weather condition.
I was meant to be paddling in the North Sea but got stuck filming something in the Scottish Borders... that would probs be a different story if I would've crashed Neo into a salty water 😂
I've had it on Medium Follow, probs Far and High would be better. Also, the sensors picked up that glassy-calm water as a signal to land. Same thing as with early DJI Mavic drones... It's in the manual to avoid flying over the water without controller... Oh well 😂 It's alive and well!
Dji in the introduction video showed that it can fly over water with the person showing flying it autonomously over water standing in boat/kayak and then when they released the drone they specifically mentioned don't fly over water. LOL DJI just don't show that in the video which is main video for your new drone.
Many RUclipsrs do, but they know to use the controller and phone combo, the over the water is just not showing them using the controller in the marketing video
@@gregb1599 but in the marketing video it was shown as if he is flying it autonomous which is not right by DJI it is false marketing In my opinion. He stands up ,drone on hand and it flies. EXACTLY LIKE AUTONOMOUS MODE. There is definitely some of the buyers thought of buying this drone because while doing water sports it is much much easier to have a drone which does everything itself and also be safe while doing so, but again when they bought it is written in manual not to fly over water atleast not without controller etc etc. And yes agree, not showing controller is the mistake by DJI, hahaha they could have added anything to that 5-7 secs shot but they chose it, and later said ohhh you can't do it. Sorry. But again the drone itself is great and this is small problem it's just that they should have made it clear initially.
Totally, I've lost loads of drones in the past - for many different reasons (both when working and when flying for fun). To be fair, I've should've set it to "far" and "high" instead of "medium". Plus, as I never do, I've never really read the manual. They've sorted that autolanding over water issue in Mavics so hopefully there'll be some kind of firmware update in the future to DJI Neo too. For any water shots I'd still use the Mavic as it's just much better quality and can withstand strong-ish gusts. On the other hand, I'd never set Mavic to follow in the woods.
@MicheIIePucca Apparently, it only lowers while using the controller. Once back, using your phone or drone, only the settings are saved in the controller.
I think the first (when its drown), you fly it to close to the water, and most of dji drone also will be problem when you fly to close to water surface....CMIW....
flight works great with controller over water and cliffs. Poor little Neo can't see the water or drastic uneven surfaces very well without stick input. People pointed out the warning on the manual about that and did it anyway. Sorry yours turned into a submarine so suddenly.
My Neo did not survive dronie over the pond ;) it just landed in the middle of the pond :/ unfortunately the water in the pond was deep and muddy. There was absolutely no wind and the surface of the water was like mirror, so i guess that was an issues. Fortunately i has DJI Care ;)
I'm waiting for a set of ND filters, I'll see if that will help along with 1080p. I haven't edited the files as I wanted to showcase how it looks directly from the drone. I will however upload another video on getting better quality out of this drone. Both just on the drone itself and with a bit of editing in post.
Haha yeah specially with a daft pilot like me 😂 It's much better if there's texture to the water it seems :) You live and learn! Good on DJI Neo for taking a dip and coming back out like a champ!
Only Neo was on the bike ride, the back camera was GoPro 13 - hence the artefacts in low light. I was actually a bit surprised that Neo did a better job at it...
Not sure what happened to the music between 0:14:30 and 0:14:46 - don't adjust your volume, it's me, not you ;-)
That’s it? Just a couple of hours drying in the sun after a dunking and she was able to follow you and capture clear video? What trooper👍😄

Keen to see what future updates will do!
what filter are you using on this video? looks great
Thanks so much! Just a conversion LUT from C-Log 3 to rec 709 from Matti Happoja and then my own colour correction.
Does the Neo always sink if it crashes in water or does it float? If it sinks, is there some kind of foam we could stick to it to make it float just in case?
As demonstrated it sinks 😂

Keep in mind that the DJI Mini 4 Pro or Mini 4K give you most of the advantages of the Mavic at a better price and also do not need licenses.
I hope you'll find Neo as much fun as I do (and my kids!) - great little travel companion :)
what camera do you use for youtube?
Bonjour..éviter l’eau..DJI le précise clairement 😁👍bon drone et choix👍🇫🇷🇫🇷
I said this on a couple other video's already but, be very aware with water! My Neo decided to land when i executed a dronie from the side over water expecting for the Neo to return to me after 10 meters.
Unfortunatly after a couple meters in my Neo decided to land....in the water. Before i knew it my Neo was swimming on the bottom of the lake. So watch out with quickshots on water! DJI send me a new one with a instruction to not fly the Neo lower then 10 meter above water. So the quickshots from the hand are a no go when you on water.
Apparently, it should not be used over water without the controller and phone, as then it uses the more conventional DJI app settings, including RTH
I love learning things the hard way too 😂
DJI replaced it for free?
Good luck with it man 🤞🏽
@@SkydiveToma thank you!
A few firmware updates to the current Neo and we're good ;-)
I flew mine in manual mode and went over the top of some filled trash bags in the yard with leaves.
What a wholesome Video, well you convinced me to buy this drone with this review 😅 I hope DJI sponsors you in future.
Namaste from your new Subscriber
Most likely the Mavic has a nd fileter or some sort of coating on the lenscover. Did you try the Neo with ND filter ND4 for example? I would think like that it can produce more cinematic images.
It does, it was mega bright that day. I don't have filters for Neo yet but I will next week - I'll put up a video on this for sure.
Thanks for this video. Very helpfull
Glad it was helpful! 🤙🏻
is dji neo can fly over water ? what is its height above the water?
According to the manual, which I've read after drowning it 😂 it says not to fly above water - it's got less issues when there's some wind giving the water some texture though.
It would be great if they could figure out some way to make it less NOISY !
My red propellers on Mavic 2 are much quieter so hopefully some third party will release some for Neo too!
As in distance to you? It's just a distance regardless of direction of travel, horizontal or vertical.
@@JakeOski ohhh okay I understood… I thought it is the height from the sea level .
@@rising_beast_piyush ah, nah, any larger hill would be out of the question then :)
hey , u did the correct review
I got a mini 4 pro and the Avata 2 and I love both of them but I'm still gonna get myself a Neo It's small and looks like a good wee drone to buzz around the house with
That plus it's a great teaching tool for friends and family to fly FPV's since you've already got the rc and goggles for the Avata!
Awesome video thanks for this
Glad you liked it!
Maybe the image looks better on RUclips for the neo but I keep thinking it’s a better sharper brighter picture. But what do I know
That might be down to my rushed colour grading on the Mavic which I realised after uploading. But overall yeah, for such a tiny drone with such a tiny sensor the Neo definitely pulls its weight! I’ll upload another video with the new software soon and different settings. You can actually get much better footage out of it!
Does it sink in water, or float?
Oh it sinks :/
@@JakeOski that is not good for the sd card. hehe
@ there’s no SD Card here thankfully:)
how is the wind resistance for this?
Pretty tiny, I wouldn't fly DJI Neo in anything over 15 knots.
If you turn it upside down it should cut out. Not sure what's up with flight time, I'm getting more or less the same depending on the conditons.
Unbelievable it could survive the dive in the water 😮😅
I was meant to be paddling in the North Sea but got stuck filming something in the Scottish Borders... that would probs be a different story if I would've crashed Neo into a salty water 😂
Why did it go into the water
What happened
I've had it on Medium Follow, probs Far and High would be better. Also, the sensors picked up that glassy-calm water as a signal to land. Same thing as with early DJI Mavic drones... It's in the manual to avoid flying over the water without controller... Oh well 😂 It's alive and well!
Nice video. i been waiting 4 days watching videos. tomorrow is the big day.
Stoked for ya! Great little drone!
I was wondering about the glassy water.
Yup don’t do it 😂
Dji in the introduction video showed that it can fly over water with the person showing flying it autonomously over water standing in boat/kayak and then when they released the drone they specifically mentioned don't fly over water.
Can you lowering the sharpness on the DJI Neo?
I think it should look better in that way
Currently not, the camera settings are really limited but I'm sure this will come in the future updates.
Can only be done with the controller and phone together.
@@gregb1599 I did this right away... video is much after a video tune. (lowering sharpness and noise reduction)
@MicheIIePucca Apparently, it only lowers while using the controller. Once back, using your phone or drone, only the settings are saved in the controller.
Wow!
Good neo good neo!
Totally as obedient (and confused) as my Lab 😂
With a small back pack it's perfect
For sure! When you're hiking every gram counts, I think my bag of gummy bears (can't walk, run cycle without!) weighs about the same as DJI Neo!
@@JakeOski also can charge up from a powerbank
@@dubinatub1 totally
NICE HAPPY FLYING❤❤❤
I thought it was advised NOT to fly over water as it can confuse the optics on the drone.
Yup
I think the first (when its drown), you fly it to close to the water, and most of dji drone also will be problem when you fly to close to water surface....CMIW....
Yup, just went to land due to altitude and water reflections.
2:03....... TWSS
When will they make a DJI Neo with Obstacle Avoidance 😢
I'll Wait until they Make it more Bullet Proof 😊
Don't think they will bud, at least not at this price point.
Bonjour..d’autres drone existe avec évitement d’obstacles 🙄😁😉DJI veut pas détruire ses autres drone plus cher..oubliez ..ses marketing 😏😉👍🇫🇷🇫🇷
flight works great with controller over water and cliffs. Poor little Neo can't see the water or drastic uneven surfaces very well without stick input. People pointed out the warning on the manual about that and did it anyway. Sorry yours turned into a submarine so suddenly.
Things happen... I probs should read more manuals but life's too short 😂
My Neo did not survive dronie over the pond ;) it just landed in the middle of the pond :/ unfortunately the water in the pond was deep and muddy. There was absolutely no wind and the surface of the water was like mirror, so i guess that was an issues. Fortunately i has DJI Care ;)
Damn, sorry to hear that mate! Good stuff you've had DJI Care for yours :)
Wow that was lucky. Had it been salt water it have died a death for sure
The instructions do say not to fly it over a shiny surface unless it on a controller.
Yeah I probably should've read a manual once in a while 😂 All good though, Neo is a survivor 💪🏻
DJI neo is secretly waterproof
Haha yeah gotta try it following me when diving next 😂
@@JakeOski no just kidding 😀
4k video is straight up thrash in 2024, best just to step down to 1080p at 60. At least you won't get the jittery video from 4k 30
I'm waiting for a set of ND filters, I'll see if that will help along with 1080p. I haven't edited the files as I wanted to showcase how it looks directly from the drone. I will however upload another video on getting better quality out of this drone. Both just on the drone itself and with a bit of editing in post.
Cool doggie!
O meu nomeei de fungos, ( penetra em qual quer lugar )
Mais na água sem chance 😅
No saltwater lucky
Yeah 100% this :)
subbed 👍🏼 good to know that it will survive a quick water dip.. 😅
Haha please don't try this at home ;)
@@JakeOski i do triathlon.. i don't think Neo can follow me while i swim.. so nope.. won't even try it.. 🤣
It does say in the product info not to fly over water 😂
So it does 🤣
NEO would literally dive into the water without hesitation. So try not to use it near any water.😢
Water confuses drones
Haha yeah specially with a daft pilot like me 😂 It's much better if there's texture to the water it seems :) You live and learn! Good on DJI Neo for taking a dip and coming back out like a champ!
@JakeOski was totally shocked to see it fly again. I know the mavic 2 hates flying low to the water also.
Why did you Land in the Water what Happened
Sensors picked up on glossy water and the drone decided it's landing time. Had the same with first Mavic - sadly that one was beyond recovering.
Neo looked better to me following the bike
Only Neo was on the bike ride, the back camera was GoPro 13 - hence the artefacts in low light. I was actually a bit surprised that Neo did a better job at it...
Funny experiment🎉😂😊
My initial reaction wasn’t that full of joy 😂
It seems to me that the performance of DJI New AWB and auto exposion are horrible in woods of your video.
Really dark forest + tiny sensor and a drone that’s less than a cheap Android phone… So yeah, gotta match expectations to all of the above
Is it only Americans that get off on "Un boxing"?
Dunno I suck at unboxing - things just go flying…
water detected i guess 😂
Shame it stopped recording under the water 🤣
Read the manual !! Damm
Life's too short for that 😂
