In the documentary “Four Games In Fall” they explain that the Patriots balls were checked immediately after the freezing cold game. The Colt’s balls were checked in the locker rooms after 20ish minutes where they had time to acclimate to the warm temperature. Every time I get in my car when it’s cold, the PSI in my tires reads lower than usual. After driving for 5 minutes or so once they are warm the PSI goes back to their normal levels. It’s simple science. This was an era where everyone outside of New England hated the Patriots and were looking for any excuse to explain how they were so dominant year after year. As a Dolphins fan I also hated the Patriots. But I can’t deny that Brady is the GOAT. 10 Super Bowl appearances with 7 rings. Mahomes is the best QB in the game right now but that record wont be beaten, at least not in my lifetime. ✌🏽
And let's not mention. There's a website dedicated to telling you how your team has cheated and guess what? Every team has cheated multiple times throughout the history. There's a distinguished picture of Russell Wilson throwing a football. But before he throws it, the damn football looks like almost a flap jack. Thus, Russ also has his balls deflated in cold temperature to acclimate him to throw it a certain way as well. If you really want to go down that rabbit hole.

Mahomes plays in the softest era of football as the NFLs golden boy. Hes the NFLs golden boy because the level of competition around him is non existent. Who does Mahomes have to play against? Go look at the QBs he's played against in all of his superbowl runs then come talk to me. Brady was the undisputed GOAT in the greatest QB era in NFL history. But after watching him drag that Bucs team to a ring at 43 (while Belichick missed playoffs), I had to finally shut up and bend the knee. 7 rings in 3 different decades is absurd. It’s funny, most people would agree and say this was the moment he became the GOAT. But when you actually look at all the articles and coverage after the SB win against the Seahawks, basically every major sports outlet considered him the GOAT. Like at the time, winning SB 49 seemed to push him into the top spot, but 28-3 just made it basically inarguable But before 28-3, he’d still been to the most super bowls, he won the same number as Montana but had bigger numbers
I remember leaving my friends house freshman year chalking this trip up to a loss by the time i got home score was 25-28 best superbowl Ive ever got the chance to witness
I just banged out these stats. For people who think Brady somehow benefited from deflated balls: Prior to Deflate Gate accusation (2001 to Halftime 2014 AFC vs Colts) Brady's career stats were: W-L 178 - 53, TDs 438, SBA 5, SB wins 3 (Second Half AFC 2014 to end of 2022) Brady's career stats were: W-L 120 - 44, TDs 290, SBA 5, SB wins 4 14 SEASON AVERAGES Before: W-L 12.7 - 3.7, TDs 31, SBA 5, SB wins 3 After: W-L 12.8 - 5.5, TDs 36, SBA 5, SB wins 4 Proving if anything Tom was slightly more successful with league inflated, approved footballs.
That super bowl was the best ever. I am a pats fan. This was by far the most emotional super bowl win ever. It was a real rollercoaster from the lowest lows to the highest highs known to man in a single game. Definitely the staple game of Brady's career.
They really said if Mahomes three peats he will be the goat? Are they high on drugs? Tom brady played in a era where players actually got hit. Defenses could actually play defense instead of borderline touch football. If Mahomes played during the brady era he would have been crying on the turf while scraping dirt out of his helmet. On top of that Tom Brady won 7 rings. The debate isnt even close. Brady is the poster child of the NFL. Basically every person who wants to be quarterback, Brady gave them confidence. A player that everyone doubted becoming the greatest player of all time. His story almost sounds made up, like something out of a movie. Mahomes isnt even close to what Brady has accomplished.
The fact is, Tom Brady is in the books with no asterisk by his name. Not a fan, but you have respect the numbers. Championships, wins, passing TD’s, completions, passing yards, for gods sake the tied with the longest passing TD(99 yards) in history.
Ya the ring that separated him from the rest by count, did so also by being his most defining game and Super Bowl of all time, by far. This has GOT to be his favorite ring. That or the Tampa one when everyone counted him out after leaving the patriots.
Yeah, I feel like Brady had his say against Mahomes and told him to sit down. It will take a much better QB than Mahomes to surpass Brady and I say this as a Bills fan.
I’m a lifetime, born and bred, dyed in the wool Missourian and Chiefs fan. When Brady joined the Bucs and took them to the Super Bowl in his first year, soundly beating Mahomes and the Chiefs- that silenced any doubts as to whether or not Brady was the goat.
Everyone started calling him the GOAT after Super Bowl 51, just because he passed Montana in rings. But I personally think he was already the GOAT after the Super Bowl 49 win. He was tied in rings, and his stats were far better at that point already.
No one talks about it ever, but the most important play in the Super Bowl comeback vs the Falcons was actually a scramble by Brady on 3rd & 11 to get a first down. Without that play, the Patriots never get in a position to get points and get the comeback going
Me and a couple of buddies decided to watch that Superbowl. I can't remember if it was at halftime or halfway through the 2nd quarter but we eventually went "Man, the Patriots are getting their backs blown out, this is boring." and we went to do something else. All I really knew of football then was that Brady was "pretty good" and that the Steelers had won seven superbowls. When I found out sometime later that the Patriots had comeback to win it, I was like "Well damn, that's pretty cool." How little I knew lol it's actually what started my adherence to the philosophy of "It ain't over till it's over."
The eras Tom played through too I mean Jesus. Ed reed, ray lewis, urlacher, champ bailey, kam chancellor, Sherman, Bobby wag, Julius peppers, von miller, d ware, aquib, Chris Harris jr, can’t name em all but you get the point 😂
It’s because everyone is bias toward the current product. Everyone shitted on Brady when he had bad games but Mahomes gets praised for every little thing. Mahome is playing like straight ass right now but everyone is still on his jock trap.
If Mahomes ever wants to be the goat, he will need another 3-4 superbowls but also that “Goat moment” just like Brady had 28-3 Mahomes will need his own moment. *edit: he also needs to win on a different team with a different coach
Mahomes already has those moments imo, he's had so many huge comebacks in playoffs I don't think his "it" factor can ever be in question. As great as he is, I have a hard time seeing him get to or passing Brady on SB wins, but the other thing is that Brady left a great coach and won one on his own. Mahomes almost has to win one without Andy to get in that conversation unless they win like 10 together lol
@@MegaBenjamin I still put Montana ahead of Manning personally, but I'm probably biased growing up thinking he was the best as a kid. Paintin' Manning is the commercial GOAT for sure though lol
@ mahomes aint gonna be the goat unless he does well in another defensive era which prolly wont happen based on how soft the league got as soon as mahomes joined
Being a Brady fan and seeing the comments section in regards to Mahomes is hilarious. Because I remember all the stuff they used to say to discredit Brady. “The league’s gone soft”, “they changed the rules, you can’t even hit anymore”, “Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor would have made him cry.” “the refs gift them Super Bowls” “he got owned by Eli, not my goat!” “Not clutch!” From 2003 until 2017 when it could no longer be denied, folks did everything to discredit him as he was establishing the bulk of his legacy. Now I’m seeing the remix with Mahomes and it’s got me cracking up because it looks like folks never learn. We all become our nostalgia driven parents at some point.
@@mrhumble2937 You see how dumb that is though? Brady was widely recongized as the GOAT before he won his 6th Super Bowl, let alone brought Tampa one. It's just weird protectionism. For the record I don't have Mahomes on Mt. Rushmore yet because he's not yet 30 and we need to see the bulk of his career come and go. But we should at least enjoy that we saw a first ballot hall of fame career rather than try to stack it up against Brady's while it's still being written.
I really can’t tell you when he became the goat but what can I say is I was a avid hater of Tom Brady being a dolphin fan myself but after a while, you couldn’t deny he was the greatest of all time the way he played how much he wanted to win/did win through multiple controversies & divorce. Yet this man still continued to win on and off the field and the way he carried himself at all times demanded respect I don’t think Mahomes can touch that. 100 years from now looking back on highlights Brady’s game , life & look will always be one step ahead in my opinion .
Brady is the GOAT but yall can’t act like Mahomes can’t ever take the title. That’s just favoritism. But the 2-0 record, being a 6 rounder, and winning it all on 2 teams is on its own extremely impressive. Hard to top
It's easy to forget just how bad the Falcons' game management was in the 4th quarter - even at 28-9 at the end of the 3rd, the Falcons felt like they were playing scared. In the last 5 minutes they still had snaps in field goal range to put the game out of reach! And they had a drive *after* the equalizing 2 pt conversion to win with a field goal - didn't get there. If the shoe were on the other foot, Brady would have.
SB LI happened in Feb 2017.. 2 months later April 2017, Mahomes was drafted, by 2020.. these mofos were calling Mahomes better, smfh what this man did from 2001-2022 and to call a guy who's been in the league for 8yrs the best is pathetic Brady is Forever The Greatest 🐐
Brady has been the goat hes pick 199 from the 6th round dude has 7 rings in 10 superbowl appearances hes the nfl underdog none picked him he earned everything hes achieved
i'm a Pats fan, so biased obv, but also like and respect Mahomes. To me, Mahomes is the qb you'd make in a laboratory, can do it all and more with his arm, more than capable with his legs, and very smart. But i just love Tom's inner fire and basically rage haha
Yea but that hurts him and why he got blown out by bucs. Brady got rid of that ball so fast. Instantly reading the d and finding his read. Mahomes has all that talent so holds the ball, which killed him vs the bucs.
I remember watching this superbowl live. My mom is a diehard patriots fan she was so upset the entire game and then towards the end she was jumping up and down screaming with joy lmao the greatest superbowl come back in NFL history.
No one thought it could be done, but Brady supassed Montana and Bradshaw... I LOVE Mahomes and no doubt he's a legend in the making who has the potential to do more than Brady. But he will need to do more than a "three-peat" to take the GOAT crown from TB12.
And he solidified a no argument GOAT status when he beat Mahomes in his own house and then also trashed him in a Superbowl. It does not matter if Mahomes wins 20 Superbowls, he couldn't beat Brady in the playoffs. Don't forget thatr Brady was old and at the end of his career in those games. Brady. GOAT. Simple.
You’re crazy if you think they drafted Jimmy Garoppolo for anything other than a young QB whose stock they could raise while Brady took a vacation. He never threatened Brady’s job. They just used him to trade away for more skilled players to complement Brady down the road.
Only one ball was determined to be still slightly under after taking in the freezing temperature. Since that ball was intercepted, it helped the Colts not Brady. Pats won that game by running touchdowns not passing. I'm from Cleveland and Jim Brown is my football Goat. But Anyone who hates Brady, just wishes he was their QB.
It’s simple science.

the edelman 'i caught it' catch..... insane. just iron will
I agree. This was the moment, this game. This game made him the greatest of all time.
9:03 I never noticed that the confetti was shaped like the Lombardi trophy.
Great video!
Nice one bro 😎🤙
It’s funny, most people would agree and say this was the moment he became the GOAT. But when you actually look at all the articles and coverage after the SB win against the Seahawks, basically every major sports outlet considered him the GOAT. Like at the time, winning SB 49 seemed to push him into the top spot, but 28-3 just made it basically inarguable
But before 28-3, he’d still been to the most super bowls, he won the same number as Montana but had bigger numbers
I remember leaving my friends house freshman year chalking this trip up to a loss by the time i got home score was 25-28 best superbowl Ive ever got the chance to witness
great quality video
I just banged out these stats. For people who think Brady somehow benefited from deflated balls:
Prior to Deflate Gate accusation
(2001 to Halftime 2014 AFC vs Colts) Brady's career stats were: W-L 178 - 53, TDs 438, SBA 5, SB wins 3
(Second Half AFC 2014 to end of 2022) Brady's career stats were: W-L 120 - 44, TDs 290, SBA 5, SB wins 4
14 SEASON AVERAGES
Before: W-L 12.7 - 3.7, TDs 31, SBA 5, SB wins 3
After: W-L 12.8 - 5.5, TDs 36, SBA 5, SB wins 4
Proving if anything Tom was slightly more successful with league inflated, approved footballs.
That super bowl was the best ever. I am a pats fan. This was by far the most emotional super bowl win ever. It was a real rollercoaster from the lowest lows to the highest highs known to man in a single game. Definitely the staple game of Brady's career.
Great video man!
Appreciate it!
Awesome video
Dude played against str8 killers
My mom passed away from cancer, I didnt win a superbowl because of it. good video though keep postin
The fact is, Tom Brady is in the books with no asterisk by his name. Not a fan, but you have respect the numbers. Championships, wins, passing TD’s, completions, passing yards, for gods sake the tied with the longest passing TD(99 yards) in history.
Bill Belichick deserves credit for the super bowl against the Mcvay rams. What a tremendous defensive win that was.
Ya the ring that separated him from the rest by count, did so also by being his most defining game and Super Bowl of all time, by far. This has GOT to be his favorite ring. That or the Tampa one when everyone counted him out after leaving the patriots.
Cemented his greatness for me!!
I’m a huge chiefs fan and even I agree Brady is the GOAT
9:22 :thats the face of true love for the game of football
How can Mahomes be the GOAT if he literally lost a Super Bowl to Brady?? Do people forget about that?
He lost 2 championship games against Brady ...
Mahomes needs 9 SB wins to surpass Brady
Yeah, I feel like Brady had his say against Mahomes and told him to sit down. It will take a much better QB than Mahomes to surpass Brady and I say this as a Bills fan.
I’m a lifetime, born and bred, dyed in the wool Missourian and Chiefs fan. When Brady joined the Bucs and took them to the Super Bowl in his first year, soundly beating Mahomes and the Chiefs- that silenced any doubts as to whether or not Brady was the goat.
W vid
that was the coldest last line of a youtube video ever
Everyone started calling him the GOAT after Super Bowl 51, just because he passed Montana in rings. But I personally think he was already the GOAT after the Super Bowl 49 win. He was tied in rings, and his stats were far better at that point already.
No one talks about it ever, but the most important play in the Super Bowl comeback vs the Falcons was actually a scramble by Brady on 3rd & 11 to get a first down. Without that play, the Patriots never get in a position to get points and get the comeback going
comebacks are example for our lives
Me and a couple of buddies decided to watch that Superbowl. I can't remember if it was at halftime or halfway through the 2nd quarter but we eventually went "Man, the Patriots are getting their backs blown out, this is boring." and we went to do something else. All I really knew of football then was that Brady was "pretty good" and that the Steelers had won seven superbowls. When I found out sometime later that the Patriots had comeback to win it, I was like "Well damn, that's pretty cool."
How little I knew lol it's actually what started my adherence to the philosophy of "It ain't over till it's over."
Yup, we all know tires in Lithuania deflate in winter because TOM BRADY.
Yeah.. I'm gonna say he became the GOAT when he won his 5th Superbowl. After adding a 6th and 7th, how could anyone even debate it?
It’s because everyone is bias toward the current product. Everyone shitted on Brady when he had bad games but Mahomes gets praised for every little thing. Mahome is playing like straight ass right now but everyone is still on his jock trap.
28-3 didn’t even get me to realize he was the goat that bucs victory really got me saying he was the goat
If Mahomes ever wants to be the goat, he will need another 3-4 superbowls but also that “Goat moment” just like Brady had 28-3 Mahomes will need his own moment. *edit: he also needs to win on a different team with a different coach
Unless we have another defensive era with the legion of boom, no fly zone, etc then we can call him the goat if he survives in that era
@@forgettablelisa that’s true, manning won on two teams, that’s why imo him and Brady are 1 and 2 for being the goat.
As a falcons fan, this was easily the moment that sealed it for him. I will hate that awesome qb forever
Greatest moment , no doubt!!!
Eagles fan here, beat us in the superbowl in the early 2ks after "spygate"...Brady is the Goat.
Can't wait to be an unc and bring up the 28-3 game in goat debates😂
The fifth ringing the come back against Atlanta.Did it for me
That got u a sub
Anyone who took a high school or college physics class knows all about Boyle's Law and the Ideal Gas Law. Everyone else tried to blame Tom Brady.
I miss watching Brady in NE… 😢
Tom Brady is the only player in NFL history that wins this game. Not a single other player would have gotten it done.
I wish he didn’t lose twice to the giants and one to the eagles he’d be untouchable 10-0 and no one could say “well these teams beat him” 🤦🏻♂️
the falcons owner coming down to the sidelines to celebrate was the turning point.
Tom Brady Will Always Be The Goat🐐
Tom Brady is? Simple, Tom Brady is the GOAT.!!! Down 28 to 3, Brady and the Patriots manage a comeback winning the Super Bowl 35 - 28 …UNBELIEVABLE‼️
Falcons fans will never live down this moment
Brady became one of the 10 best QBs ever when he won his third ring. He surpassed Peyton in 2007, and became the GOAT after 28-3
Being a Brady fan and seeing the comments section in regards to Mahomes is hilarious. Because I remember all the stuff they used to say to discredit Brady.
“The league’s gone soft”, “they changed the rules, you can’t even hit anymore”, “Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor would have made him cry.” “the refs gift them Super Bowls” “he got owned by Eli, not my goat!” “Not clutch!”
From 2003 until 2017 when it could no longer be denied, folks did everything to discredit him as he was establishing the bulk of his legacy. Now I’m seeing the remix with Mahomes and it’s got me cracking up because it looks like folks never learn. We all become our nostalgia driven parents at some point.
Hey gotta use the same arguments 😂 I'll use Mahomes gets 0 credit until he wins a sb without Andy.
They used to say it was all Bill.
@@moadewunmi9380 to me he's already 2nd. Has to get 7 to be number 1
You know what 28-3 gets you? 283 diamonds on your SUPER BOWL RING!!! Tom Brady is The G.O.A.T.. Period.
2 months later April 2017, Mahomes was drafted, by 2020.. these mofos were calling Mahomes better, smfh what this man did from 2001-2022 and to call a guy who's been in the league for 8yrs the best is pathetic
Brady is Forever The Greatest 🐐
He woulda won mvp that season. That game is still hard to fathom. For me it was SB 49, but 51 def what put him over the top in goat discussion
The best part about this video is the fact that he was easily the goat before the falcons SB
Brady has been the goat hes pick 199 from the 6th round dude has 7 rings in 10 superbowl appearances hes the nfl underdog none picked him he earned everything hes achieved
Bro won a superbowl with the Pats for every QB drafted ahead of him. Storylines also add to GOAT status
i'm a Pats fan, so biased obv, but also like and respect Mahomes.
The fact that Brady has two ten year time frames worthy of the HOF should be enough.
I saw one showing Brady had 3 separate seven year time frames worthy of HOF, it's insane. Brady is the GOAT!
I remember watching this superbowl live. My mom is a diehard patriots fan she was so upset the entire game and then towards the end she was jumping up and down screaming with joy lmao the greatest superbowl come back in NFL history.
This video could have been a 5 second clip. Nothing could be more obvious than the SB win over Atlanta
No one thought it could be done, but Brady supassed Montana and Bradshaw... I LOVE Mahomes and no doubt he's a legend in the making who has the potential to do more than Brady. But he will need to do more than a "three-peat" to take the GOAT crown from TB12.
He passed Montana the second Malcolm Butler picked off that horrible Russ Wilson pass in the end zone
Montana definitely is up there 4-0 is wild in any era but especially that era
Brady became the GOAT before the Atlanta Superbowl. That just brought over the few haters left.
Don’t forget the fact that Roger goodell had to hand the Lombardi trophy to Brady
Goat! I’ve been trying to build my Tom Brady rookie card collection, slow and steady. Long term hold 💪
