Mahomes was in his prime when he lost to Brady.....Patricks first NFL regular season loss, AFC championship Loss, and SB Loss each one to Tom Brady. I think the rule should they play until the team with the ball is ahead, then that team is the winner. Score a field goal, the other team gets the ball, if they score a touchdown, the original team gets it back to try and take the lead. You keep alternating, until one of the teams is behind and don't score on their possession.

As @josephvrobillard7973 pointed out, no mention of 2018 AFC championship where the Chiefs were on the losing end of these rules. Such a bad title and premise to base your video on when history only 4 years prior proves you wrong. The real interesting takeaway is Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs used their loss in 2018 AFC championship as motivation for 2019 and all subsequent years of Super Bowl runs and was the beginning of the dynasty. The sports media, greatly concentrated in the northeastern part of the country (i.e. Bills sympathizers), lobbies the NFL to get the rules changed for the Bills and Josh Allen, but not for Patrick Mahomes. If I were Josh Allen, I would be horribly embarrassed they named the rule change after him. It solidifies him as permanent victim in the league and implies he needs charitable help (which he does not, he's a great QB).

The Jets were also good in 2011 and 2015 and controlled their own destiny to make the playoffs late in the season.... and both times their season ended on brutal losses. 2011 = Game against their same-state-same-stadium-rivals Giants on week 16. Both the Jets and Giants controlled their own destiny to make the playoffs if they won their games against each other on week 16. Whomever lost, would need a lot of help on week 17 to make the playoffs. Perhaps the biggest-ever Jets-Giants game, due to the reasons just mentioned. Jets defense was dominating the Giants.... until Victor Cruz demoralized them with the almost 100 yard touchdown run with the Giants on 3rd and long on their own end zone.... Giants then beat the Jets, and then the Giants eventually made the playoffs, while the Jets got DQ after week 17...... and then the Giants went on to win the SB (their second under the Eli era) against the Jets rivals, the Patriots (twice against the Patriots actually, under the Eli era). 2015 = 2015 had that brutal week 17 loss against their "same-state" division rival Bills, which ironically, Rex Ryan was the Bills head coach. Jets lost a brutal game against the Bills, with a brutal 4th quarter for the Jets. Had the Jets won that game week 17 against the Bills (or had the Steelers lost/tie to Cleveland), the Jets would have clinched a wild-card-spot. As we know, Jets lost and Steelers won. What made 2015 brutal was that the Jets were on a 5 game winning streak before their week 17 matchup against the Bills, and two of those victories during this 5-game-winning-streak was in OT, against ironically, both the Giants and Patriots. So it was looking like destiny for the Jets. So the Bills game came down to the wire, and many thought that it was going to be another Jets dramatic victory in the fourth quarter, this time, against their "same-state" rival Bills, to further add to the destiny talk. FitzMagic. But it was just a brutal loss with a brutal 4th quarter. At least in 2015 the Jets controlled their own destiny entering week 17 against the Bills, unlike 2011 due their brutal week 16 loss to the Giants. Honorable mention = The 2013 Jets. Many expected the Jets to win like 1-2 games, and have the first overall pick of the 2014 draft. But the Jets overachieved and finished the season 8-8. Given, they were not in playoff contention entering week 17, like in 2011 and 2015
