That 2015 Panthers team was so special; It's pretty cool that Peyton Manning won the Super Bowl in his final game but honestly I still wish the Panthers would've won it all
2017 was the actual last time Carolina was good imo. Cam was balling with a rookie CMC that provided a new dimension to that offense, you still Greg Olsen, and that defense did still have Luke Kuechly, vets like Julius Peppers and Thomas Davis, and more. Underrated team that lost to the Saints by only one score in the wildcard game that year.
so true... miss luke, I can understand letting go CMC cause hes always getting injured and is nearing the end of his career for maybe at most 2 more years, but all these other ditches destroyed them

2015 was an absolutely magical year! That NFC championship game at home was something special! I remember rushing home about 1-2 hours before the game started and as I drove past Charlotte on I-85 just looking over and seeing all the buildings lit up on top with Panther's blue! I of course was already hyped for the game, but just seeing that increased my excitement 10X. I even rolled my window down and it was like you could just feel it and hear the excitement in the air as I drove past! We of course all know what would take place later that night and it was such a historic and magical thing to be a part of. I'm just glad I was alive to witness it as a Panthers fan! I will never forget that night and those beautiful blue lights!
Being a Saints fan the Panthers squads from 2013 to 2015 pissed me off many times. You didn't mention it, but back in 2013 during that super rainy game in Carolina with the NFC south title on the line Luke Kuechly picked Drew Brees 2 times to seal the game and essentially win the title for the Panthers this placed the Saints against the eventual super bowl winning Seahawks and MAN that sucked to watch. I thought the Saints would play a little better than the 35-7 Monday night rout, but no pretty much the same embarrassment. Then 2014 I thought the Saints would manage to pull the title AT LEAST, but no the Panthers rallied and took the title home though that Cardinals playoff game was attrocious. Then coming into 2015 I was once again hopeful only to be displayed with that 15-1 squad like the rehabilitation scene in "A clockwork orange" god the Saints were soooo mid that season and the following when the Falcons took the NFL by storm until Kyle Shanahan decided to "throw" the game away. Definitely made me happy to see the Saints run the south for the next 3 seasons, but those playoff heartbreaks sucked way more. Takes a good season to impress the fans, but takes some awesome performances to keep the division rivals pissed. I honestly thought the Panthers would run away with SB 50 considering Manning's arm was a noodle at that point the Broncos had a great defense but so did the Panthers. I guess, I should have paid more attention to the fact that the Broncos defense was actually carrying the games singlehandedly and the Panthers were working in unison so the moment the offense stalled there wouldn't be much to do.
@@AnotherSportsChannel Thanks, they did drop that Eagles game, but it was mostly a lackluster offensive performance the Panthers did look better with Andy Dalton at the helm though it's only been 1 game thus far.
When bad owners meddle in team business that’s gonna be hard as a former fan of the team raiders I saw Al Davis do it too many times and see mark doing the same from a distance. Good luck no fan base deserves a shitty owner
I wouldn’t say Bryce is a bust yet. Still too early. Honestly, him being benched will be good for his development. I believe if he and stroud swapped places, whoever was on the Texans would do great, while whoever was on the panthers wouldn’t. Just my opinion though. Bryce does need to work on his accuracy and decision making, besides that everything is kind of out of his control.
I remember living in Charlotte in 2015 and the vibe and energy around the city having a great time, school was buzzing every Monday and Friday, traffic was crazy all around whenever they played, seas of Cam and Luke jerseys, everyone dabbin and hittin folks, it was a time to be alive. Now I'm older and the Panthers suck ass, and the city is dead unless our soccer team is playing....our soccer team that's only been around for 2 or 3 years has become a bigger cultural draw than the Panthers and it's really sad to see as a native of the city. I miss the good times.
The 2015 panthers needed just one real playmaker at receiver. Lost Steve smith before season and Benjamin hurt. I think if they had one of those two? May have been enough
It's not the turnovers it was the penalties. Idgaf what anyone say the league wanted Peyton to get his 2nd one cause his ass couldn't best Seattle. The refs killed our momentum when cam made the pass across the middle of the field and they called holding after that we was doomed
The moment the Jerry Richardson and his statue (which was a gift to him, not a vanity project) was gone, I knew the Panthers were through as a team. Jerry Richardson WAS the Panthers. He was a real southern businessman that cared deeply about his homestate North Carolina and sparing no expense to bring the best football to it. Even though he was a former NFL player and could've GM'd and coached better than most NFL GMs and coaches today, he hired the best and let them do their jobs (unlike our current wannabe owner). The NFL just had to go full leftist though, forcing out all real southern gentlemen from all roles and replacing them with actual evil yankees, which Richardson had to get caught up in. Ever since Tepper did his hostile take over, I'm back to watching my local High School team now instead. I might catch the last game of the season on TV when Tepper's Panthers go 0-17 so I can point and laugh though. I hope there is a nice close up shot on his sky booth so I can laugh more directly at him and see his reaction.
Cam had his shortcomings as a passer, but he really kept that Panthers team relevant for over half a decade. Just look at how piss poor the Panthers have been since he left 😂
Removing Richardsons statue is a slap in the face of the existence of the panthers. I’m glad Jerry curse yal Panthers is the new browns Yal suck I miss when yal was good it was great comp #dirtybirdz #riseup
In the division championship? No way fool! That was Carson Palmer. They did beat the Cards in the playoffs a different time with some QB they pulled off the street (almost literally)
The cracks in Cam were there for anyone to see. He's high when it's high and drops into the bed rock as soon as he can't get what he wants. His sideline, towel on head, pouting routine was a huge character flaw. The ceiling is LOW on these 'dual threat' QB's. Once they get heavy, hurt or tired, the whole rig falls apart because they really never develop into elite passers.
@@TheCountofToulouse yeah but dual threat means they can run and pass, no? It doesn’t specify which level one has to be as a passer. I guess maybe the thing that holds back a lot of dual threat QBs is they use running like a crutch and if they can’t get that going they struggle like Lamar in the playoffs. The issue with him is I feel like if he doesn’t run then he struggles being limited as just a passer. However, I think Lamar shows that you can still have winning and great seasons with QBs that run primarily. I think they could’ve beaten KC if they ran the ball more with Edwards ironically
I actually like David tepper. Yeah he blows up things when stuff goes wrong but that’s something we didn’t have for a long time. We stuck with John fox too long, stuck with cam too long, and more. I’d rather have an active owner than one who thinks of it simply as an asset.
What? A meddling owner one of the worst things a team could have. Just look at Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones post Jimmy Johnson firing, woody and Christopher Johnson, the McCaskeys, for example. There’s a reason why their teams either suck or are being severely held back. Also it’s no coincidence that the bills and lions became good after Terry Pegula and Martha Ford got less involved in their teams.
