I will always hate the Panthers for trading McCaffery to the Niners. Not only trading him but giving the Niners a laughably cheap deal on a generational talent. McCaffery isn't a mere Running Back. He's an offensive swiss army knife. He should have pulled multiple firsts and they didn't even get one for him. The Niners had no firsts at the time and therefore should have had no chance of getting him. Yet they still got him for a song anyway. And the rest of the NFC has been suffering the consequences ever since.

running backs aren’t valued like other players. CMC was coming off injuries & on a big contract.
i mean.. find me the last time a RB went for a first. getting a 2, 3, 4, & 5 isn’t laughably cheap. what happened with Burns is a perfect example of what you’re getting at. sucks for rbs but the market is the market

David Tepper's terrible management of the Panthers just tells you how success has more to do with other factors than simply being a "good businessman." Just because you get lucky and monopolize a market doesn't mean you can have success in another. Tepper, like all owners, should stay in their lane and hire others to manage their team. This is why the Cowboys will likely never win.

Carolina is my hometown team but that 2015 run was something else. Everyone was interested in them and the sense of community was great.
Something a lot of people don't give cam credit for was how he always gave the ball to a kid after scoring. He would even make teammates do it. I remember once where he sprinted about 50 yards to get the ball and give to someone.
I'm happy Peyton got a 2nd Super Bowl but I can't help to think cam and Luke deserved it more. I didnt understand why cam didn't change his drop back in the sb, if he would've taken one less step, von miller wouldn't have gotten to him so much. It's almost like he was trying get sacked dropping back so far.

Football is timing, and the plays are based on drops. The OC is calling the plays which called for deeper drops. It was horrifically bad coaching and not giving Remmers help (again, coaching) against Von Miller.
I also want to say that had the Panthers had Smitty still, the Super Bowl outcome would have been different. Someone with reliable hands and the ability to get open, have that angry dawg mentality, and get into the secondary's ass as needed.

Saying that drafting Bryce was "a collective decision by everybody" is literally the opposite of the truth. Reich and all the other coaches wanted to draft Stroud, but Tepper stepped in last-minute and overruled them in order to draft Bryce. So Tepper brought in a coach like Reich specifically for him to choose a QB to nurture and turn into franchise QB for this team, and Tepper just disregarded all of that and went with his own choice of QB that went against all of the coaches (you know, the football experts). Tepper is BY FAR the biggest problem with this team. The saddest part is that there is literally nothing us fans can do about it.

Unfortunately, a bad offensive line that never really protected him, the Panthers never putting any weapons around him until his final season and just overall bad luck led to his career being over sooner than it should’ve been. He was the same horrible pocket passer day one as he was the last game he played. He never got better. That's on him. He got by because he ran people over. In the long run it kept him in the NFL but ended his time as well. He never learned to get down and live for another day.

@@larrylindgren9484definitely not true at all. 2018 season he definitely improved as a pocket passer. Plus he was top 10 in middle and deep ball accuracy multiple years and led the nfl in right window throw percentage twice. The only passing he struggled at was short passes. He was good at deep and medium passes. Our receivers didn’t get a lot of separation and he had to try to force the ball in there at times. Cam wasn’t a bad passer at all and with more talent around him he would have been even better. Plus the injuries hurt him. Yall always avoid the fact that he was hurt in his prime.

David Tepper hates the panthers. He hates the city of Charlotte he hates the fans, and he hates football. All he cares about is his precious soccer team and concerts. The new renovations for the stadium are to the detriment of football fans and the benefit of concert goers and soccer fans. He doesn’t want to hire football minded people to run the team, he just grabs whatever “yes men” are available and tells them how to make it crash and burn. I do NOT think he cares about the team. Only if it’s bringing in money. To say that David Tepper is trying is just false. We grabbed another yes man as GM and we got whatever we could get at head coach. We won’t make playoffs until the year 2036.

I know some of you are wondering, is John Tepper incompetent at owning other sports teams? The answer to that question is "yes, yes he is". He also owns Charlotte FC in the MLS. In the past 18 months they've been through 3 head coaches, despite wanting to build a soccer specific stadium per the teams charter goals when the MLS expanded to let them in. They still have yet to break ground on a stadium even though it's a privately funded stadium because he can't find anyone willing to work with him. So the team plays at BOA Stadium. And despite having a talented roster CLiT FC's current coach said that his former team could easily beat Charlotte with how they're playing right now. His former team was in the 3rd tier of the English soccer pyramid and about to be relegated to the 4th tier when they fired him. While MLS talent is rated as being equal to the average English 2nd tier standards.
