      I assume it's like marital arts or karate. Usually during an explosive move, yelling or your "kiai" makes you "exert" more or become more explosive.
      Which, I'm sure even though it's Peyton, even he'd need it. Absolutely insane throw, and he threw a ton of them. Absolute bombs.

    That ball was dropping at approximately 50 mph. Terminal velocity of an NFL football varies between 20-25 m/s, depending on environmental factors, so averaging that to 22.5 m/s equals 50.33 mph. NFL QBs throw around 60 mph, but never down at their receiver anywhere close to the angle that these balls were hitting Cris. That was an impressively accurate, far throw by Peyton, and just as impressive of a catch by Cris. Fun to watch!

    Somebody smarter than me needs to do the calculation and tell us how fast that football was going by the time it got to the ground! 🤓🤪

    • @newracer74
      @newracer74 27 дней назад +4

      We don't know the velocity that Manning throws the ball in the upward direction so it can't be calculated exactly. An average QB throws the ball 60 mph, conservatively we can say 10 mph is up, its probably way less than that. It looked to take about 7.5 seconds from throw to catch. Using those assumptions it would be going about 155 mph. However the terminal velocity of a football is about 50-60 mph, so that's about how fast it is going.
