We shouldn’t be trying to be “Da Bears”! We should be trying to kick ass every Sunday and create a offensive foundation that can tutor and develop quarterbacks instead of having a stick in our ass cause we’re so proud to be a defensive team and got only 1 Super Bowl to show for it!!!!! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
@@atypocrat1779 I was a little younger, but that's how I got into the game. I live in Illinois, so that helped, but I was so into the Bears since then, my Sunday mood used to be dictated by the Bears win or loss. They weren't even born during the 2006 season, the last time the Bears got to the Super Bowl.
Refrigerator running the ball was all this 7 year old wanted to see on tv in ‘85. So much fun watching the big guys bounce off of him going over the goal line!
This was pure gold! In 1985 I was 14 living in Reno and my best friend Todd and his family had moved there the year before from Wheeling IL. Going to a Bears family SB party win the Lombardi as an outsider was truly awesome and something worthy of an anthropological study!😂😂
This is pure GOLD!!! Peyton, good grief I love you man! Watching you and Tom battle it out over the years will always be among the top years of watching football, outside of watching Barry Sanders with the Lions, Jerry Rice with the 49ers, and the legendary 85 Bears! DA COACHHHH, man. Things havent been the same since Ditka and Papa Bear left us. Love the Swerski Super fans and Peytons sense of humor. Best wishes all. BEAR DOWN!
So many great lines, but that one about Urlacher growing hair... if you're from Chicago, you well-know those billboards along the Tri State. One thing they missed tho, that I remember so well... the Superbowl Shuffle.
McMahon really was a great quarterback. He set over 70 NCAA records. (I think he actually set a record for setting records.😅) If he had gone to almost any team other than the Bears, he'd have racked up a bunch in the NFL, too. Post retirement, Ditka finally admitted that he should have listened to McMahon far more than he did. Mac understood offense better than any of the coaches. Unfortunately for him, by the time he got out of town, he was so battered and bruised that he never reached his full potential. Such a shame...
Back then a QB could actually get sacked. That is now known as "roughing the passer". 😒😒 It was good to her John Madden's voice again... 😢😢 Love Peyton Manning, the entire Manning family, actually. I remember watching hid Dad play with the Saints... ❤❤
Quarterbacks didn't just get sacked they got assaulted. The Bears didn't repeat because Jim McMahon was picked up and thrown to the ground and broke his collar bone "after the play was over." They had to put an end to that stuff.
I used to work on the Madden video games. We had a running joke around the office that the NFL Films hits shown in the Madden '99 intro video were all illegal like 6 years later.

@@michaell8002 Classy! Funny you say that. Bears should have swept the Packers this year but a blocked field goal from a player lined up illegally and wasn't called saved the day for the Packers. Walter Jim Mike S Dan H and THE Refrigerator himself. Greatest stories of my youth. BTW Iron Mike's wife is from Arkansas
The fridge running all over my Packers in the 70’s and 80’s. Those were the days! I remember Jim McMahon and Brett Favre sitting on the bench during a game in the 90’s. John Madden commented “look at those two! A sight for sore eyes!” 😊
Ditka, a true professional with, “The greatest catch I ever made in my life and nobody remembers it. And they shouldn’t.” As a coach, though, I’ll never forgive him for giving the Fridge that touchdown in the super bowl instead of Walter Payton.
"You've sold out for worse."

That’s a good point 😂
“First Urlacher grows hair and now this… this is a magical town” 😂😂
Those billboards in Chicago !!!👏👏🤣
Hair Club for Men🤪
Urlacher with hair actually looks like the Boz from the 90's
Speaking of hair, the funniest bit for me was at 1:53 - seeing Ditka with curly hair.
Bosley, I'm not only the Hair Cub President, but he's also a client.

Chicago was a great town in the 80's --- had a lot of vibrance to it
It was a good time to be a Bears fan I pretty badly stopped watching them around 2000
