I’ve always viewed “pro” headphones as closed back for recording (so there’s no chance of mic bleed), and open back in the control room for mixing and mastering. So you need both, but more of the closed back if you have a studio.
I am very pleased with the sound of the DT900Pro X! The Clampforce though was a bit too strong right out the box. But that did not stop me from keeping it because I am fully convinced of how they sound. It´s no problem to widen the headphones by stretching them over 2 pillows or something and just leave it like this for a few days, it made it so much better already!
Feeling same about the clamping force! So would you suggest still getting those cause the problem is kinda easy to solve? Dt 770 pro doesn’t have the issue though, which I can wear for a long period
As I said you can easily stretch them. I removed the pads and put the headphone over a row of books and left it for quite a while. The difference was quite remarkable and they got much more comfortable. Still I ended up selling them in favour for Denon D9200 but that had nothing to do with the clampforce but with gear acquisition syndrome 😅
@@劉仲齊 You are welcome! :) Honestly I don´t think you will be getting a better mixing result by spending more money on headphones. The 900 Pro X was dedicated especially for creators, i think you should be fine with them!
I bought the DT 900 Pro X right after release and I'm very pleased with them. They are'nt the most "fun sounding" headphones you could buy but if your looking for details and build quality there really isn't much more you could ask for in this price range and even above.
As a massive fan of both the DT 1990 pro and the DT 1770 pro, I've come to really appreciate the Insanity both can offer. The DT 1990 pro in terms of it's near perfection in terms of analytical sound while never being boring. And the the DT 1770 and its sheer enjoyability of its low end. I really wish they would make a newer version of each with slightly better pads and balanced input. They'd be pretty much perfect at that point in time.
I used to be one of the people that thought that comfort was a secondary thing to sound. That was until I bought 3 different pairs of headphones that all sounded great but I couldn’t wear them for more than 30 minutes. After all this time I keep coming back to my MH-751’s, I can wear them basically all day. I ordered a pair of hifiman HE400se and hopefully I’ve finally found a winner when I comes to both sound and comfort. Don’t get time wrong, the MH-751’s are great, I just want an open back pair.
It's been a while but i could realy appreciate your opinions if you remember. Thinking of switching to dt 900 pro x from mh751. Have you tried 900 pros? If so how is the overall sound improvement, bass and comfort compared to mh751?
First time listening to this reviewer, had me cracking up a few times. Enjoyed this review. I ordered my 900 pro X before the weekend…excited to have them Monday.
Hey Z, thanks for the review. I own the DT 990 Pro and DT 1990 Pro myself and recently upgraded the last ones with the 'Dekoni Fenestrated Sheepskin' after your big dekoni beyerdynamic review. I definitely interested into the DT900 Pro X after your review, but i'm not sure if i need another headphone, cause i'm super happy with my both ones. Probably i'll stay with mine and recommend those DT900 Pro X to friends and stuff, cause i'm not that big of a sound devices collector as you are. 😅👍 I'm from germany btw. Home of good headphones. 🙈
I love the 900’s personally. I have tried the 1990’s and couldn’t seem to get accurate mixes on tracks. The 900’s sound a lot more neutral, and what I’m hearing on the headphones seems very accurate across systems. To me it’s an easy decision but I’ve seen many people who enjoy the 1990’s dislike these. Since the tuning is a bit more neutral it might be boring in comparison to the exciting v shape of the 1990’s. I recommend ordering a pair on Amazon since they have a good return policy if you dislike them.

Watched this on my phone so I couldn't really tell any difference. Thanks for the review! I think I'm going for the closed backs anyways cause I need a monitoring headphone :D
Always nice seeing Z review a headphone I own. Have had the Dt900pro x since it was released, plugged into the topping L30 and D10s. And this review made me think I definitely need to get a tube amp or at least a hybrid probably from Xduoo.
21:18 I always liked that I can spin the pads around and change the spot where they get pushed in the most or where they suck up the most sweat. There is never a gross spot and the foam doesn't get worn out so that the earphones would rest on my ears.
Ive had the 700 Pro X for over a year and I love them. Very comfortable, great sound and also much better isolation vs the 770's. I accidentally sat on mine and bent one of the arms, bent them back it still works great lol
Ordered my set of the 900 Pro X a full month ago and was just told they are delayed again into late Feb. Grab them while you can because the whole world is fighting for these shipments. Sold my Senny HD 598 to get them and can't wait to get gaming again.
I have the 700X specifically for the purposes of audio monitoring during voiceover recording. They’re great for that, especially when plugging into a camera, mic, or audio interface that doesn’t put out a bunch of power.
Those dt700 will calm down by nature like the dt770 did 😊. By pad wear. Anybody needs a closeback? The Dt770 (80ohm) are great. Zeos you should try them finally. They are nothing like the 250 ohm version. Not even bright (perfectly neutral, slightly leaning towards dark-ish even). I dont know about the dt770 manufacturing or tuning variables though so I can only speak for my experience, with my and my brothers pair. For music listening they need a little bit help by fuller smoother ritcher source. For instance my shanling m8, something cheaper would be the centrance dacport slim or HD (Class A) or the shanling UA2. Check out the metal 571 review they sound exactly like he described them.
@@CarlMarx There's the DT1770 with removable cable, I've also modded my DT990 Pro to have an mini-xlr plug so it could remove the cable if needed, took only some plastic cutting and some glue but it worked well.
Beyerdynamic rise and fall with their pads. Swapping them around often gives big surprises, especially T1/DT1990 pads on the lower end 770/880/990s. Or just upgrading them with the Tygr pads and ring filling.
So for general use (music and gaming), which would you recommend for the price? DT 990 PROS - £109 TYGR 300R - £119 DT 880 EDITIONS - £139 DT 900 PRO X - £209
900 pro x is going to give you the most fidelity and clarity out of the 3 of those by a pretty good margin but might not sound as fun as they are mastering headphones
There is so many reviews that say these are worse than 770 n 990 and many that love them. I used to own 770, 990 n 1990 and love them all and now I'm planning to go back to beyers. My question is does anyone own 770, 700X, 990, 900X and compared them over couple of hours or days and which ones do you prefer. I guess that this is something that I will have to do eventually. I never owned 880, Tygr which basically are 880 and MMX300 maybe one day I will have chance to listen to them.
I returned the 770’s and 990’s I had because the highs were unbearable for me, and the sound signature was so different from my ath m40x that I couldn’t get a decent mix on them. I have had the 700’s now for over 2 weeks and I have to say they are my new favorites. It’s almost as if the m40x’s and 770’s had a baby. It’s a bit flatter, the highs can be still extreme at times but it doesn’t push it too far like the 990’s and 770’s did in my opinion. From what I remember the soundstage is slightly less on the 700’s than the 770’s but definitely an improvement from my m40x. I think if that baer spike in the high is a bit extreme for you then these are definitely worth a look. I would think the 900’s would sound amazing with the same drivers but open back.
@@lateam9786 Thanks for replying and yeah those highs could be quite annoying sometimes I think I got used to them but depends on the song I had to squeeze my teeth from time to time. 1990s were almost perfect they could have just a bit more bass and 990s soundstage plus they were slightly overpriced in my opinion. Headphones market this is a journey that never ends.
@@lateam9786 I had a similar experience with the 770. Took delivery of 700 today and have been listening to them for 5 hours now without any fatiguing highs.
You cannot imagine how much I'm confused about this comparison! Especially when it comes to choosing between dt 880 (all editions) and dt 700/900 pro x and dt 770 pro. I used to use Sennheiser hd 380 pro for my video editing and video sound mixing and I was satisfied with the flatness and unbiased sound (after a while I realized that it was not as unbiased as I thought!) so I decided to switch to a new headphone for my editing (consistent bass and a bit warm, bright at mids and not sharp or airy at treble) and now this is my big question: what is the right pick under 350$ ?
Loved the review and video! Just curious if you were using the 900 pro x naturally or if any eq settings were added when listening to them (or any other sound adjustments other then changing the dac/amp combo). If so, is there any you would recommend for these headphones?
So I couldn't help but notice that Audio46 has Kennerton headphones, something that not many have reviewed here in the states. Might be a good chance for you to beat others to the punch if they would send you a couple to try out. I'd be tempted to get one of the newer Beyerdynamics, but I currently have the DT770 80 ohm, DT 880 600 ohm, & the DT1990. I enjoy them all at different times. I'm kind of at the point that I buy out of boredom with what I have. Not need. So I've slowed down my shopping through force of will.
I own a pair of Beyer T1s V1 and I never looked for anything else after them, this is after trying Sennheiser hd800 Hi-Fi man and akgs they are just that good.. a semi-opened back headphone always sounds better than the closed, also beyer puts on the felt pads to let the music flow past your ears unlike a leather or vinyl pad which seals too well around your ear
I know I’m arriving late, but the tab on the headband is to pull out the cushion so it can be replaced. Most components of the headphones are designed to be replaceable.
Since a lot of dongle DAC are released like shanling ua5 (coming soon), xduoo link 2 bal, colorfly cda m1 (and many more). I'm waiting for another Dongle DACtacular, and I think it would be interesting to compare them to the previous winner.
Ok, so I have questions: I currently own a FiiO K5 Pro as my one and only AMP/DAC combo for my PC. I also own the (now discontinued) Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros (COPs) and the 2020 updated version of the Hifiman Sundara. I love the Sundara, but being an open back I have used it a lot less due to enviroment sounds (ceiling fan, dogs, neighbor construction, etc.). Now I have the oportunity of buying another decent headphone (father went travelling to the US). Looking to spend around $200~300 at the most dollars, what should I go for that complements my current possessions??? Meaning, I want some variety tho' not anything over the top that super specific for one use case. I was thinking about the HD6XX from DROP, but they're open back as well... So, besides the Sennheiser HD6XX, anything else you can recommend? Already having a beyerdynamic, not sure if I should go for these (especially cuz I'm looking, primarily, for another closed-back). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Love jazz, rock, pop and everything in between.
Try the AKG K702 with your K5 Pro. I own them and the HD 6XX, but lately I've been listening to the AKGs a lot more. If you like an extremely open, airy and detailed sound, they're for you. Yes, the bass can be a bit light, but it's tight and very precise. It all depends of the quality of the recording, as they're VERY revealing and don't sound particularly good with modern digital recordings (for that, go with the HD 6XXs, they "smooth out" the harshness of excessive treble). If you're a bass head though, you should avoid the AKGs. These headphones are SERIOUSLY underrated, they're actually super close to the HD 800s in terms of soundstage and imaging.
Sorry for the n00b sound question, but what cable would I need for the DT700 to replace the straight cable? I much prefer the curly cable. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
The first Beyerdynamic I saw with the new Y logo is the T5.3 and I love how they sound and how they feel. Also the Amiron Wireless are also very enjoyable…although its AptX HD is now getting a bit dated as Apple is about to put out a new wide band wireless to pass LossLess Audio. As for the new Beyer pads on DT770/990, will Dekoni come forward with pads to fit?
Is it possible for two of the exact same headphones to sound different? I bought two of the 900 Xs by accident. Decided to open and test out both of them (keep the one that had the better build) and realized one was characteristically warmer and had great bass extension while the other was brighter and more mid forward.
Bought the DT-900's yesterday in Gerrmany from the Netherlands because of your review, I got the 770-80 Ohm, and I am curious, if they can beat them, my first BD was a 250 Ohm DT-990 and fell in love with the sound, although I almost could hear none from my laptop amp, thing, there are DT-990's 80 Ohm for sale btw, the black edition they are called, so I thought, no this review is good let's go for a newer technique. My music style is 80's Electro, you said superior, I can wait to get them in 5 days
I have the 770 pros at the minute and love them. Looking for open backs for mixing and mastering, yall thinking the 900 pro x's here or the sennheiser hd600 or hd650?
I went with 900 proX because they have better transient response and bass response while being relatively flat at the cost of a slightly smaller sound stage than 650s or 600s if that helps
BRO I just modded them yesterday. Drilling the holes was easy but nerve-wracking. Soldering the wires, however, felt like I was performing surgery. Did you find yours to be worth it?
@@zodd3262 Absolutely! If it is the same for you, depends on your amp I guess. I have a Drop THX 789. The single ended output for 600ohms is 100mw, but balanced it is 400mw. So balanced the amp is much more capable of driving those headphones and I was able to hear the difference. I would say that unballanced it was bit more "dull".
@@flyt129 Mine is a Geshelli Erish. Brilliant combo. Before that though I was almost solely driving it through the Darkvoice. You can't go wrong either way! Did you have to adjust your gain on your DAC?
@@zodd3262 Ups, sorry for the late reply.I have my DAC always running on max gain as it is the default I guess? I turn of the power each night so it would loose the setting anyway I think.
Just what i was waiting for! Would You recommend 900 pro x or TYGR for gaming money no issue straight from motherboard? Or maybe even audeze penrose? I already had dt 1990 while good not the biggest fan of the super crispy bright details, would prefer warmer more relaxing but still really good performing headphones with precise audio ques. Much appreciate Your opinion and i think a lot of people are having same questions about the new DT line.
@@shoryuquinn Could You elaborate why? I'm very interested and yeah i rememer also badseed comments about this but he did say its mostly because of comfort actually he thought 900 had better performance. Do You also have experience with 1990 or Penrose in gaming?
I am having this weird issue when im using the dt700 pro x. I’m getting this electric noise kinda like rapid clicks and pops pingponging in the headphones from time to time. I don’t know what to do as it’s hard to pinpoint the issue. I am using my dt700 with an audio interface (presonus audiobox itwo) which is connected to my MacBook Pro m1 2020 through a powered usb hub (caldigi element hub)
How does the new DT900 Pro X compare to like the HD580, HD600, HD650, or HD660S? I might get a pair of Beyerdynamics DT900 Pro X now that it has a detachable cable vs the original DT900...
I have a pair of HD6xx's and I have the dt1990 pros, I also have the dt990's and I can tell you the main differences I find between Sennheiser's and BD's, is tonality, and sound stage, Sennheiser's, in my experience, sound a lot more intimate, close, and warm, like I could rest my head back and just listen. Beyerdynamic's are a lot brighter, colder higher frequencies shine here, which make them better for gaming and in my experience, better for movie watching as well. I will put it this way, it takes a certain degree of focus to appreciate the detail and sound stage that Beyerdynamic's present, but the detail is there, and it is amazing in certain applications, when I put the Sennheiser's on, I don't have to worry about anything that I am listening to, most music sound great with it, some video games can feel a little claustrophobic in comparison to BD's, but regardless, I think Sennheiser's are great for pretty much all listening experiences, that Beyerdynamic 10khz bump, can make certain listening unbearable, but they have their applications, and I cannot replace them for gaming and Sci-fi movie watching
@@MrPeanutButter907 Thanks for the insight, based on my experience I feel Sennheiser is the right choice for me, my ears being sensitive to analytical highs
Hi, nice video! I wanted to ask you, don't the DT 900 Pro X insulate even a little bit from outside noise? I am undecided between these and the DT 700, next to me I have the pc that makes a little noise under load (the gpu suffers from coil whine), I really don't know which headphone to choose.
Get the 900 Pro X, they do insulate quite a bit and I think you won´t be distracted my your PC. When you look at it how the 900pro X is built it also looks more like a half open headphone. When you compare it to the DT990Pro which is also a open headphone you will see that it is much more open than the 900 Pro X is.
@@rinderkappajoe Thank you so much, I will go for the DT 900 Pro X. In your opinion, it’s better to use the DT 900 with an Amp-Dac combo/stack or with a good audio card? (For example Audient iD14 or Motu M2).
@@riccardopozzati3007 sorry no idea about that, I use mine with a Shanling m6 Pro Hi-res Player but it also works and sounds fine when I just plug it into my MacBook
@@riccardopozzati3007 I just found your comment and sorry if my advice is too late. I recommend getting dac-amp combo rather an audio card, because audio card is install inside your PC and your PC make a lot electrical noise regardless how good your sound card is. So, an external dac-amp combo would be better (my recommendation are fiio k3 and ifi zen dac if you're looking for option, these two would be more than enough so pick one or you can do your own research that suit your audio needs).
@@turbo_v Hi, thank you for the reply. The audio cards I mentioned are external audio interfaces. I buyed the Motu M2, it has a built-in DAC ESS Sabre32 Ultra and a good headphone amplifier. The Audient iD4 is a nice external audio card but the headphone output has 22 Ohm of impedence, too high for the DT 900 Pro X that are 48 Ohm
People love the new 990 pros x for gamming pinpoint audio ques & very good at hearing foot steps as well. Open backs are the way to go for gamming give you a wider sound stage so you can hear things near & far very well. Pro gamers use open backs. But at e-sports events they have to where IEM's not recuse there good at all they have to put full size head phones over the inears to block others teams comms at events. So heck yea there great indeed for fps gamming.
My endless struggle is trying to find a replacement pair of headphones that are closed back, that'll finally defeat my Sony MDR V-6's. I was so hopeful that the new 700 ProX was the pair....but I wonder if I'm ever going to find the same level of warmth and accuracy through and through without it being overbearing. Man the ATH M50X let me down....the search continues. (If anyone has any suggestions for a good competitor to the MDR-V6, please help.)
As weird as it might sound, the best closed-back I've ever used was an Hyperx Cloud 2, they're based on the Takstar Pro 80 and are very comfortable to use the entire day while the sound is also very spot-on with all the music I listen (Classic Rock, Electronic, Indie). They're also very cheap so you can buy one pair to test and gift a friend if you dislike them. The velour pad makes it even more enjoyable, so if you buy the Hyperx Cloud Alpha (comes with removable cables) you might want also to buy the velour pad for it to make it even better.
Are they definitely not wired for balanced? A lot of people think the Sennheiser HD599 etc are single ended only due to the single cable, but they are wired for balanced as well.
If I remember right, think the blue Dekoni holiday pads you gave away in a recent yard sale, you were giving them away with 2 pairs of headphones that you said were terrible. Just so Pasta doesn’t get the blame 😋😋
yesterday I was at6 long and mcquade ( canadian music store ) and I tried the 990 pro and the 770 pro ( not X ) and imidiatly I didnt like the 770. I had the impression my ear were in a vacum because of the sound ( closest description I can provide ) but when I tried the 990 pro I imediatly like them. I eard that the 900 pro X where even better and I will probably choose them.
also my favorite type of music is metal ( not trash metal ( thats the name ) where the vocaliste destroy is vocal cord ) so if the hight are too high you ear will bleed. ( the song I test them was billie jean mickel jackson )
What about AT M60x? Allrounder is it's secret feat. It is a very comfortable on ear if on ear works for you you should take a look. Very very good for competitiv gaming, great for atmospheric gaming, great for Movies, Films, Series, RUclips, and also deliver for music. You can even get a Boom-Mic for it and an adapter for a BT-Receiver.
finally! Had the TYGRs...so I was on every song sayin wow in my head...thought to make an upgrade to 900 pro x. sold'em in 3days and got the tygrs back. They are cleaner, more precise, bass is more controlled...all good stuff...compared to the Tygrs. But....oh my god they are so dull in comparison. THey are for studio or for the analitical listener. They don't put you in the magica bubble that Tygr does. Got the same reaction of my friend, which is a producer. Yes..900 pro x they are better than tygrs..but not for music, movies and general enjoyment, which is what I am interested in.
I got my 900 Pro X today, superb sound, and not as open as I thought, I would say that they are a bit in between closed and wide open, the base is tight and clear, the stage is fantastic for the price, and the comfort, my God. ... they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever wear, it's like having soft pillows over my ears, it was a long time ago I was so happy with a purchase.
Z why do you do this. I’ve really been wanting a set of the beyerdanmic Open back but I have to buy a new computer because old one broke But now I’m wondering if it’s worth it
If you knew your german, you'd know, most likely Bavaria. Since in German, Bavaria is Bayern. Hence the name Bayer which then evolved to BEYER, like my last name and the last name of the founder of these headphones.

Agreed. I can take my 1770s to the point that they vibrate like Skullcandy Crushers, and I've never felt the need to upgrade.

Have you tried the Drop x Beyerdynamic DT177X GO? They're a slightly tamed DT1770 and have the option for a balanced cable through a 4-pin mini-XLR
I don't think the Hifimans are particularly comfortable (they are cushy, but heavy and clampy) but they do sound great for the price
Love my He400se but it broke after trying to swap out for new pads, just bought Bayerdynamic DT 900 pro X and it is my first Bayerdynamic headphones.
Finally, I'm seriously looking into the DT 700 Pro X because I need a good closed back option to compliment my Fidelio X2HR's.

Finally... Ive been waiting for that review
Is the accidental Linear view bothering anyone? Its more zoomed but squarer then most of my videos.
Watched this on my phone so I couldn't really tell any difference. Thanks for the review! I think I'm going for the closed backs anyways cause I need a monitoring headphone :D
Ah finally that review ^^
Sounds like Dekoni needs to get to work an release some DT700 Pro X Pads with the plastic ring :D
I was waiting for these. thank you Z
Always nice seeing Z review a headphone I own. Have had the Dt900pro x since it was released, plugged into the topping L30 and D10s. And this review made me think I definitely need to get a tube amp or at least a hybrid probably from Xduoo.

I always liked that I can spin the pads around and change the spot where they get pushed in the most or where they suck up the most sweat. There is never a gross spot and the foam doesn't get worn out so that the earphones would rest on my ears.
Same. Rotating them every once in a while greatly extends the life of the pad.
No comparisons with the older, no sound descriptions, a lot of amp switching... no comment on the driveability. What this guy said in 26 minutes?
Was waiting for this, needed a third opinion. Since i watched DMS, and Badseedtech's review so thank you for the third opinion. 😃
The only thing I don't like about my DT770 is that I ruin the cables and can't just unplug it and plug in a new one
DT 990 PROS - £109
TYGR 300R - £119
DT 880 EDITIONS - £139
DT 900 PRO X - £209
Just tried these 2 out, amongst 20 other pairs.. and the closed backs were something that you could just play quieter and get the same sound...
How do the DT700 Pro X compare to the AKG K361 / K371? Is there anything (closed back) better for that price?
''They do work, but not for pleasure'' Yup sounds German to me!
You can substitute the 1770/1990 style mounting rings into the Pro X cups. This adds a lip to the cups for pads to wrap onto.
I'm happy to see you finally give these a look and hear. Any chance you do the same for the Austrian Audio Hi-X55 sometime?
I think you may like the Beyerdynamic T1 gen 3. A lot of people dislike them but the bass is heavenly.
I'm more upset by the pads being proprietary, not to replace them on these, but to use those pads on something else 😭
Awesome review sir, this greatly helped me make a choice. I got the DT900 Pro X and it is fantastic.
why?
Cool, looking for an upgrade from DT770 Pro for mixing, seems like DT 700 is perfect.
DT990 Pro(after more then a year) and 900 Pro X(since release) are now my daily drivers for gaming and music.
I've bought an DT990 pro but the volume was always low, did you use an amplifier along it to make it louder? Even at 100% volume it was very low.
@@Goldern need a amp to power them
Just went into audio46 yesterday and ended up picking up the 900proX for my first open back headphones
I totally love your reviews. Very honest..
Are the 900's good choice for competitive gaming? (Imaging and soundstage) better than ad2000x?
what would you recomend for gaming Beyerdynamic DT700-DT900 ProX or sennhesier hd560s and do i have to get a amp to them?
I find the 700 is a more fun headphone to produce music with... Rich sub bass, warm mids and clean highs (not crispy as a 1770 but still)
hey
im thinking of buying new headset to use when gaming should i buy beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X- beyerdynamic DT 990 pro or a Sennheiser HD 560S?
Hey Z, what would you rather have? The DT770 pro(250ohm) or 900 Pro X?
How do they compare to MMX 300 gen 2s?
Sorry for the n00b sound question, but what cable would I need for the DT700 to replace the straight cable? I much prefer the curly cable. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
The first Beyerdynamic I saw with the new Y logo is the T5.3 and I love how they sound and how they feel. Also the Amiron Wireless are also very enjoyable…although its AptX HD is now getting a bit dated as Apple is about to put out a new wide band wireless to pass LossLess Audio. As for the new Beyer pads on DT770/990, will Dekoni come forward with pads to fit?
Can you explain that bit about Apple putting out new wireless for lossless audio? Haven't heard of that news.

Which dac should I get?
I have the 770 pros at the minute and love them. Looking for open backs for mixing and mastering, yall thinking the 900 pro x's here or the sennheiser hd600 or hd650?
I went with 900 proX because they have better transient response and bass response while being relatively flat at the cost of a slightly smaller sound stage than 650s or 600s if that helps
At least they use a mini xlr. Makes it easier to balance mod them compared to other ones. Modding my 880 600 Ohms really was a pain... :D

I don't know the amp. But they are not very hard to drive. So yes.
How do you think these weigh up for gaming against the audiotechnica m40's you previously recommended ?

It's a 3-pin connector so balanced is impossible without modding them.
Cannot wait for a graph from a reliable place ;)
Why is the longer wire an issue for being unbalanced? it's not that long to cause noise interference

Z why do you do this. I’ve really been wanting a set of the beyerdanmic Open back but I have to buy a new computer because old one broke But now I’m wondering if it’s worth it
What would you recommend from beyerymanic dt900 pro x open back or dt700 pro x close back.
Have you watched the review..?
@@SanderJanssens yes he like the open back more.
If you knew your german, you'd know, most likely Bavaria. Since in German, Bavaria is Bayern. Hence the name Bayer which then evolved to BEYER, like my last name and the last name of the founder of these headphones.
The DT177X GO has a very similar pad over the driver design but in black.
