Another well done from Josh here even thought its been a while since the send. As a coach I am always invested in the success of my athletes but I rarely get to see the process in such detail. That's why this was such a cool experience for me. Keep on sending hard Ben!
Thank you Josh! Was a nice journey to work with you! Have a lot of low gravity! :D
One of the best climbing content as of late! So nice, enjoyable, well written, incredible videos, editing, good music. Loved it, really! Super funny too! And your attitude is inspiring, really!
so true. Ben is still eager to grow in the art of film making and storytelling, as much as in climbing. Masterpiece. and I love your base message: the biggest success in climbing is enjoying it🎉❤
Congrats to your first 8a! This was more exiting to watch than most of the 9b+ struggles from the big ones as I can connect more to the struggle. Amazing production quality and entertainment.
Spoiler allert!!! my first 8a was in Episode 3 of this series :) And this one was actually a 7c+
But glad you enjoed the video!
Thanks!
Unique stuff here. Nice job documenting the collective effort to find the beta at the crux. Working together to unlock a hard (seemingly impossible) sequence is definitely one of the best things in rock climb and yet it doesn't show up very often in YT, at least not at this level of detail. Congrats man!
Thanks! It's hard to make sport climbing interesting due to complexity of filming, but I hope to bring more human level climbing content out here as well :d
I’ve been watching your videos since the fear of falling series. This is by far the best content out there right now..great job! Not only is the climbing improving but your skills as a filmmaker and editor are also showing the same from your dedication and hard work. Appreciated this video a lot.
I appreciate this comment so much! Great to know there are people watching from so long ago! Sometimes RUclips seems so disconnected from the audience...
It's rare to see a video that documents sport climbing so well that you can actually understand the struggle with every move.
This video addresses a normal climber struggles, so real, so good! I felt like I learned so much here. It's a perfect 3E video - super engaging, encouraging and enjoyable! Well done mate. Whilst watching 9a+ climbers may be thrilling, this is the real life for most. Please make more of these. Definitely appreciate the length too, enjoyed every minute of it. 👌👌
wow a pleasure to read this! Maybe there is space on this fast media internet for longer content... =]
Fricking brilliant vid, Ben. We're so accustomed to watching "movies" where the character succeeds in the end, but I know all too well that it's often not that easy in climbing. You captured the whole process so well, from your failures and training to the local crushers and "shushing" your partner for celebrating before the climb was done. 10/10 this why I'm proud to be patreon of your work!
Yea, movies are made to have a happy ending... real stories are harder to capture. But happy you've enjoyed this one and thanks for the support! Means a lot!
I always find incredible the progress over time in this sport. You pass from "there is no way I can do this move" to passing through it without even thinking about it. It's crazy how many limits our brain puts on our body. Good job for fighting these limits, Ben! Well deserved
Thanks Matteo!
This is beautiful. Thank you for all you do for the community, man
My pleasure!
Okay HILARIOUS ending SOOOOOOO did not see that coming!!!!!
Epic mini movie, absolutely amazing! Loved the side by side cut edits of two climbers climbing the same spot, all just amazing beginning to end! 5 ⭐️’s‼️‼️🧗🏼♀️🧗🏼🧗🏼♂️
Honestly Ben this is a true master piece!! To hear how much effort goes into this from Tom Randell himself and you did it anyway!!
Also you always seem to pic very beautiful routes to film!! This one is very photogenic and so was the one in Arco!
Massive love from me and Thank you for your contribution! (Best on RUclips??😏)
Oh wow, thank you a lot! Indeed the amount of work to film these sport climbing videos is crazy, but if people enjoy it then I have a lot of joy making it!
Thanks for all the support!
10:03 Nr 💩 rule! Kudos on calling it out, making everyone a bit safer every day!
So, your first try back on the proj, you were falling off moves you were previously getting easily, but I think it was just not remembering how the moves felt. A few tries later I could totally tell you were gonna send, because you looked totally different on the rock from how you looked in your previous videos on this. A lot more power and momentum behind the moves--you were actually *overshooting*. Once you figured out the other stuff and made it smooth, the crux... was still hard, but you clearly had enough for it. Great job, man.
Thanks, many nuances go into such projects that usually stay out of videos, but I hope so that I'm somewhat improving :D because what else... :D
Thats what we call "a piece of hard work not needed by anyone". Beautiful climb! Congratulations!
All for the looks... so that other humans would think that my life is better 🤣
As hard, as funny ! Thanks for sharing this big challenge and great achievement ! The video showing your trials and those of your friends is really inspiring. Well done, enjoy the success and thanks a lot for this energy you share with us !!!
Congrats! Nice editing too, totally enjoyed watching it!
This was so fresh! Worth the waiting! Congratulations for the video, for having such amazing friendships and for climbing this insane route 🎉
Thank you Han! Nice to read this ;)
I was cheering and jumping when you finally made it!
Really well done. Enjoyed it a lot!
Woohoo thanks :D
Loved watching the whole process, a very well put together film.
I am a boulderer but this has got me psyched to go try some sport climbing
Ohhh yea.. every boulderer is trying to convert me into bouldering, but I'm working on a reverse mission :D
What a journey Ben! Huge congrats!!! You captured the process so well. Sacrificing climbing to train to hope it gives you what you need to advance as a climber only to show up on your project and find the opening moves still being hard. It can be soul crushing, but you persevered. And then when you finally pulled the crux and were pumped out of your gourd but your friend was distracting you with premature celebration right when you needed the most focus and calm. Oh my. Way to keep it together and clip the chains! Looking forward to the next vid to hear from you how much you feel the training helped you get the send versus the micro beta you kept working on. Teching down that clip looked huge as well as keeping your feet on right before the crux.
Thank you a lot! Yea I'll make mroe vids on training topic... since this one got a bit too long :D
Dude, this was so great. Loved the process.
So well shot and produced! This was one of the best pieces of climbing content I've ever seen! Along with your first 8a no less!
Nice work Ben! I've been watching your videos since I started climbing and I just enjoy your content so much. And this one is not an exception. Well done. It's amazing how much effort you put in this project. Keep sending and doing what you're doing 😎
Thanks Adam, keep having low gravity days :D
@@HardIsEasy thanks Ben, you too!
You're making some of the best climbing content on the 'tube, and this was bloody brilliant to watch! Keep sending!!
Amazing video! I really love seeing you progress, you are super inspiring man!
you already have my like just for this epic intro. Nice video I really like it
SICK VIDEO ! One of the very best climbing movies on RUclips so far ! It was so exciting to watch... Congratz man ! I'm so happy you finally did it ! 💪
It's a nice documentary about what really is training, dedication and determination ! Amazing!
Aaaah thank you so much!
Can definitely here the nerves/excitement on the sending shush! Nice work!
Beautiful, thank you!
Thanks for evolving us into this project! Very good content as always!
39:17 OMG I'm a pretty calm climber but I would've been PISSED at this silly giggling at such a crucial part.
Ended up good for entertaining everyone later :DDDDD
I loved this Movie!!! It was very good. Congrats. You capture what we all feel on whatever level of climbing we are working on.
In case anyone else is curious since it isn't mentioned in this video. I did some digging and the route is called Libertad de expresión, 7c+ (according to the guide book), in Zona Zero in Tenerife. Ben sent the route 10 months ago.
Can't hide these days :DDDD
Thanks for ruining the film for me, no need to say if he did or didn't do the route in the comment.
@@Aaron-xq6hv no need to read comments before watching ;)
Congrats on sending your project! Really good video :)
This was such a good video. Incredible climbing and some funny skits. Keep it up.
Great movie Ben!
Happy that you sent your project.
Thanks for the detailed record of the whole climb and how you were making adjustments before the crux to save just enough to attack the crux.
Thank you as well!
That was great! Really inspirational and some really good lessons too. Thanks!
WOW production value upped. haha! Super nice Mr. Easy.
Great production! Thanks for sharing!! Congratulations on the send and the movie
Well done!!! Great climbing an amazing video. Really liked watching it!
Congrats !🎉 I’ve been following you since years, happy as if I made the route myself ahah
Well done! Love the video 🙌
I’m always so motivated to go out and find a project after watching your videos! So inspiring!
Me too :DDD joking (partly) Thanks a lot! Glad it moves you!
Well done Ben. Your content is by far the best on youtube. I find it hard to watch much over 10 minutes on here usually but this kept me engaged all the way through. Keep up the good work and congratulations on the route. I can definitely relate to those moments after the crux on the last move where all you can think is "Dont fuck up now!"
Aaah thank you so much! And yea sending pressure is def interesting beast to deal with :D
Wow...congrats Ben, and thanks for such awesome content.
Awesome video! One of your best of all time. I loved the training sequences - definitely inspiring! You have one of the best climbing channels out there. More gear testing/breaking please!
Aaah thank you so much! And yea I have ton of nerdy and useful stuff piled up to be edited :D
@@HardIsEasy Great!!
This was awesome, I had never felt such frustration for a move watching 9+ climbers. I actually learned a lot about how to project a route!
loved it!
Congratulations, finally!!
Great video
Best part is to see a person enjoying genuinely the project, process and experience….that is gold!
Good stuff man🔥💪🏽

No way. This movie was amazing. Let's go Ben. Inspiring to see your improvement!
Ayyyy well done my heart dropped when you fell on the crux on your first attempt and I could felt how intensely you were in your zone when you needed total silence and the end and shushed the filmer😂😂
Awesome stuff, well done! 😄
Totally felt for you at that "dont f%#@ up now!" point... so hard to commit to the next move, but you nailed it.
Oh yea... those cruxes close to the anchor :DDD
Amazing path of glory 😂
Such a great YT Channel. My friends and I learnt a lot of Ben

The “shhhh, please!” right before the last sequence was one of the most relatable moments of the whole vid: definitely cackled audibly.

One of the best climbing videos we have seen❤ just loving it!💪
Ah glad you've had a good time watching this!

loved this video :) so nice to see well made "human lvl" lead videos :)
What an amazing video! Well done.
Nice one Ben, great video and great send
#1, fantastic content. #2 😂😂😂 I could not hold back my laugh at the training in the can part early on
Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us. It's been an amazing series. I'm currently overcoming an injury and it's been more difficult mentally than physically since I really need almost not to climb but train, and I hate it. Usual training are boring. I wonder how you could overcome that loss of fun in your training, so you could really stick with those unfun exercises.
