Do you Onsight every Climb outdoors? - FOF P4

- If you are a Beginner Climber and going on a Climbing trip - don't get stuck trying to Onsighting or Flashing all the routes! Befriend your Fear of Falling and start climbing harder, with less stress and more love for climbing.
I've seen many climbers who climb for years, but still unable to climb anything at their true potential during Outdoors Climbing trips.
And I've been there myself!
And It wasn't bad at all... I used to have lots of fun and then giggle at night about all scary routes we did that day...
But once I've started taking falls my mind switched from worrying about Fear of Falling to worrying about movement puzzles.
And that brought my love of climbing to the next level.
Trying to Onsight Hard routes is amazing once you have prepared your mind. Pushing your highest Onsight Grade can be as challenging and interesting as Projecting.
I hope this video series motivates you guys to get rid of your fears and climb harder!
Use the right approach and Hard will become Easy!
If you are getting value out of my videos and wanna feel good - consider supporting me: hardiseasy.com
Because that makes a big difference and is the main reason I do this project!
Deep Thanks!

The song is Popcorn. Actually my first ever vinyl single. My mom bought it for me back in 1973 when I was six years old.
“What happened to your fear of falling”
“I forgot it”
Legendary.
Massive Thank You for everyone who supported me by JOINing my Channels Membership!
Also every comment and like is a big motivation for me to create these videos!
Just wanted to say that the last time I commented here I was just beginning to climb indoors. Your videos have motivated me to climb better outdoors! Everytime me and my friend rock climbs we get to a point where we feel scared and do the jump and fall thingy. And it seriously helps!! Also you inspired me to make my own climbing videos. So I bought a GoPro and I have now like 3 rock climbing videos. So thank you for being an inspiration! 🙏♥️😁
InstaBlaster
so what is your rating ???
The song is clearly popcorn, didn't even have to look it up ;p
Where are you when we need you?
@Ark_ - Same, you beat me by an hour. The composer of this song just died last year too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gershon_Kingsley
Ohhh I thought it was Jean Michel Jarre 🙃
Yeah. Show's they're young. I remember that song from the 70s.
my mate at work hums this every day and won't shut up till he knows what it is so thank you so much!!!!
This series has been SO helpful, thank you for uploading!!! It was crazy and very encouraging to see Hannah transform throughout :^)
Yey! Glad you enjoyed it ;)
Thank you 🙏🏽 🧡
Another great video. Really love the way you explain things and the psychology of climbing. It's so clear! Love the series. Great job and effort!
Yey, glad you liked it ;) Super cool to read comments like this!
Easily one of my fave series on climbing I've watched on RUclips! 🙌 You kill it man. I definitely hope you're able to keep making content, because it's super informative and helpful
I stopped looking at grades years ago. I stressed all the time about grades. I wouldn’t try routes that were above what I climbed. The problem was I was finding amazing routes that were all above what I climbed so then one day I said I’m just going to look for climbs that inspire me. And I never turned back. Sometimes I surprise myself and kill it. Sometimes I fall and it doesn’t work out. But I have a lot more fun now than I ever did
Beautiful way of approaching climbing - we did the same with Hanna in Arco episode :D
Such a great series
Thanks IshanHM :D
Excelent advisements for most climbing people
Great video - I need to set a reminder to re-watch these series when they allow climbing again.
Great!! I've made a playlist and renamed all vids so you can find everything easier
ruclips.net/p/PL5FEOhiQGSo_1vzKuUKpckn-_Klg5zuqE
Are they allowing it where you are at now?
@@braydonsmedley5652 they allowed it back for a short period and then everything closed again (we are on lock down now Again 😔)
@@KonekoKawaiiX3 ah man! Your joking! That sucks I'm sorry☹
New to your site 1st time I found it been hooked! Tech stuff on mobile still a puzzlement. As like new disciplines in climbing learning curve takes time and regular commitment. You have a great accent and babystep delivery, easy to understand and added value humour. Cheers Phil
Wow, such a good series of videos! I love it! This truly deserves more subs, views and likes! Keep it up please
Ghmmmm.... You hear RUclips algorithm? Listen to this man! (just because 95 perc of my viewers are male)
Best climbing video i have seen since a lot of time! Thanx!
I'm really going to try to fall as much as possible.
This one? :))) Have you seen previous videos in the playlist? ;) My fav is hanna trying her first 7b
I am loving this series.
Great! I'm glad
Nice ending with Löwenzahn! I do have that so often in my head too while being outdoors 😅
Thanks for the earworm ;-)
Your content is truly top notch ! Briliant
More of this!! I'm improving thanks to those tricks🤯
Wow, man, you really have such a great film style matched with your super helpful insights.
I’m taking it easy for training this week but next week I’ll push a few grades over my limit to see how it goes.
great series, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Great team with such positive vibes :)
Thank you so much Aleksandra!
Another great vid. Well done Hanna
Ray Rowe thaaaank you. Unfortunately we had some time issues but I’m sure the moment when we can climb again there will be next projects waiting for everyone of us 🙈
Good to know lol. I’ve been lead/sport climbing for over a year, and I always felt dumb that I am still afraid to fall every time lol. I go for it and do it, but damn it’s scary every time you fall! It never gets easier lol 😂
Hehe, It sure does get easier ;) But you need to be smart about training your mind ;) Have you seen previous videos with Hanna?
loving your videos
Yey thanks!
Amazing video.
You're a big motivation for me to climb.
Great video, thanks from mexico 🇲🇽❤️🙌🏻
Thanks from Spain John!
Thanks back to you ;)
Love your advice , thank you so much. I seem to be scared of falling/ dying. Need to get over it.

Haha... well meeting up anyone now is a project on it's own :DDDD But thanks for the nice comment and Greetings back from Spain ;)

Thanks again!
loved the song side quest
This serie of videos is aweosmeeeeee
Glad you enjoy it!
🧡🧡
I am so proud of this random human!!!!
Every time you make another video like this I text my brother (also a climber), "HE MADE ANOTHER VIDEO!"
Ahahaaa great line, I'll put that somewhere :D Thanks!
THanks !
You're welcome!
Hello!
Thanks for all your videos, they are great and very educating.
The only thing I always wonder is why you guys dont climb and belay using helmets?
I ask this very respctfully.
Cheers!
Great Job again Ben 😊 such a shame our April 7c project needs to wait a little longer 🙈
I'm getting our of shape... Don't tell anyone :))))
Hard Is Easy holy shit don’t ask me 🙈
That used to be the theme electronic tune to an engineering training video when i was a teenager 😎
Hanna : *sings a melody*
Me : Oh it's Popcorn :)
Hanna during the whole video : WHATS THAT SONG??
aaah that girl with dreads is just like meeeee, thank you for this vid
Nice video series so far. I really enjoyed watching it😁
Unfortunately the whole Corona thing is hampering climbing right now 😞
Oh, if you haven’t seen it I recommend The Swedish Chef - Pöpcørn 😆
Thanks Rik! I was a pleasure to live it and make into video :D
POPCORN SONG. subscribed.
lovely video, super helpful! quick question, where is this 6c Hanna is climbing?
now i'm so hyped about going out and just sending routes. Sadly not in Corona times...
Welcome to the club buddy....
When you said climbing trips...me thinking of my plane tickets to kalymnos in august...but probably I will not be allowed to go due to corona restrictions...bad times
I feel you... We're all in a same circus mode...
Some countries are finally loosening restrictions... But yea full on travel... Hard to imagine...
I just read something that French might restart outdoor sports from may 11
Great educational video !! Thanks again !!
Where is this crag ???? =D
hot butter - popcorn ! Great videos, man.
Thanks buddy!
@@HardIsEasy Also great job on the Vipassana presentation. I also meditate at home and have used the lessons from vipassana in climbing and they have helped me a lot in climbing lead. I haven't went to a 10 day retreat yet but it's on the list.
@@comanalexandru3640 Yea 10 days course really throws you into experience... If you are into meditation - HIGHLY recommended!
Popcorn - JM Jarre 🥳
i can hear some french in the back ^^ thx for the video pretty cool
Thx
Great videos man... But there is your full time performance here on YT man?? :)
The dude with the best pants is back
Probably when I'll run out of money I should start selling those :D
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The name of the song straight away! Popcorn! A favorite tune of mine since i first heard in Nu Pogody ~ 30 years ago
I will even pause this video to play it! :))
Loved every minute of the video! But i'm still fighting with the Popcorn "Ohrwurm" thanks! :D
Thank you Sina! Trust me after editing that vid I have it hard in my head now :D
@@HardIsEasy 😂😂😂😂💪
Hahhahahah great video "palomitas de maíz......;)"
Where were you climbing in this video? Looks really fun!
Super cool video. Running beta is not a onsight try though...
I know... But "left and up" was obvious by chalk and quickdraws... Hoped she can get unstuck :)))
Wouldn't do this for a true onsight attempt ;)
And yea thanks! It's been nice to live in old footage :)
"Fear often fills your trousers"
I'm putting this on a t-shirt.
Muy buenos tus vídeos, más con subtitulos en español!!!
Without any doubt the key is the belayer. Anyways, as a beginner climber as soon as I hear my belayer talking with another friend it blow my mind. The problem is not mine! At least that whats my ego say. It's pretty sure that with you I could onsight 8a. jajajajaja
Thanks for the video! :) SO heckin' important what you said, "Don't climb dangerous routes". YES! Why are more sketchy climbs not being retro-bolted? I've climbed some really stupid run-outs that just make no sense. (I understand that some are for sketchy rock, but so many are just because it's easy climbing, regardless of choss.. Why!?) Also, yes to stick clipping! I like my ankles in one piece!
The name of song is popcorn (kraftwerk)
Haha. I argue with people all the time about the phrase "stick clip" vs. "clip stick" too. I'm with you. I think the first is a verb and the second the noun. No one agrees with me though...
Yeaaa... The action feels like stick clip and the object clip stick... But it's funny to even discuss this :))))
Hard Is Easy it’s not easy being both a pendant and a rock climber... not many of us out there... :)
Hahaha noooo for me it’s definitely „clip sticking“ kind of nominalization 🙈
What a savage princess!!
Geiles Video!
Hello “hard is easy “ ..! I MUST tell you the next - as a suggestion- you should put some more posts, some more videos..! Your appearance, your attitude and your way is definitely unique..! You should speak about more other subjects ..! I don’t know did anyone told you same or recommended you same.. Think about it..! Please. The way of your life.., the way of your thinking.. What you use while climbing is not just “ for climbing “ it is much more . It is your attitude. I was watching your videos about other subjects and I found out you are doing this on very interesting unique way.! Please, think about it. What you can share with us. You seems to be very natural, honest person. This is very important. And your unique way. The expression of your personality..! Come on ..!
Thank you so much Anton! I'll definitely do videos on other subjects as time will be right... The head of a human is always full of ideas :D So peace an thanks for encouragement!
🧡
Hot Butter popcorn !!! lol
the song is popcorn by kraftwerk
A: I will try to Onsight this route
B: this part is a mini crux
Pedro Hostalacio c) good luck and stay safe 😊
I have learned a lot from your Videos, and I try to just let the commercials run so you get paid on those.
Hahaha :DDDD crazy :D just watch my vid twice instead of commercials :DDD I hope I'll make other vids so you can watch something more interesting than ads :D
What do you think about the portugese bowline instead of figure of eight? I saw she had it installed on her harness.
1:05 Popcorn!
German Climbing Machine looks so sad by the end of this trip! Hahaha
The song is obviously popcorn. It's been my ringtone for almost forever. Come on guys, I can't be that older than you.
Great vid Ben as you made us used to get from you (it's Ben right?)
Problem is every time I watch one of your vids then I have relapses of bad withdrawal symptoms from climbing.
Hanna always a plus ;-)
Edit: ah yes, you have a new subscriber
Yea, It's been in some old video games as well... But we couldn't remember the name... (I probably never knew the name:))))
And yea I'm Ben ;) and yea It was not easy to edit this... Great memories... while world is going crazy...
😂 our research began with looking up the video games, but we didn’t succeed... this Song mission was sooooo fun... I even called my parents, they new immediately but this belayer was quicker 😋
Jean Michel Jarre yes!
I wanna climb again! *criesinthecorner
We can form a club of this :)
At about 8 minutes, Hana makes the beginner mistake of talking to a belayer and distracting him! :-)
Great videos. I might have missed it but what crag is this?
It was sex shop @ chulilla ;)
Song is Popcorn by Hot Butter
Video subtitulado al español 👌👌
Uhh. I guess I'm not the only brat that liked the song, "Popcorn". I actually played it with a band in 2009? or so? I was the bass player. No further details available.
5:13 It's interesting to see differnet climbing cultures. In Saxony, using the rope or any technical things (rings, expresses) as grip to ascend, even after a fall, is not permitted in the culture. Depending on how hardcore you are, one might tell you to not log that ascend as it was not legitimate. That said, in a panic moment, I've definitely tried grabbing a ring, only to realize that that is extremely dangerous and I could hurt myself.
Not a beginner climber here, but my girlfriend is, and we agree that the route she climbs does not appear to be as hard as you claim it is. I'd love to know the name of the route! Great video.
Oh yeah ! Cinema mode activated ! B)
My face in 4k is up for your Cinema ;)
@@HardIsEasy unfortunately my screen doesn't support 4k, but as long as I get the vibes of your videos I don't mind the quality ;)
Thanks to your support more Vibes ;)
Ok but the payoff of Hanna and Tobi finding the song was so satisfying
Did y’all change your channel name? Love your series on falling and I couldn’t find y’all, I was probably just searching the wrong name.
I assume you just found it ? ;) Thanks btw
The song is 'Popcorn' 🤘
The song is called popcorn
Anyone know where they were climbing? That wall looks amazing!
I do... :D It's a crag called "Sex shop" in Chulilla :D
Hi, question; what do you do when you can't finish a route? Do you leave a quickdraw, do you use a bail biner, ...?
I actually have a plan to make a vid on this, but in short:
1. ask someone stronger around to help you, or see if there is an easier route close that you could clean your route from. If not
2. Stick clip next bolt or use some other ways to go up like making a chain of qdrs to make a step...
3. Repel down on double rope passed through a bolt (on some bolts this might be a bad idea)
4. Leave qds go to the bar and see if someone can help you tmr :D
5. Leave a quickling or other least expensive piece of gear :D You can just leave small peace of cord (REPEL ON DOUBLE ROPE).
DO NOT DO anything you are not 100% sure it's safe.
@@HardIsEasy Thanks man, I always wondered xd
Always take with you a cheap 6-8 mm quicklink (costs less than 1 eur), loop made from 1.5m of 7mm rope with ends tied with simple overhand knot, and an extra biner. If your route has glued bolts, they aren't sharp and you won't need the quicklink. Now the critical part: tie 3-rounds prussik knot on the main rope which is going down to your belayer (with the auxiliary rope loop mentioned above), check if it is dressed correctly, and clip it to your harness. Move it with gently with your fingers (do not grab it!) when you go down. This way, if anchor above you fails, you will be caught by the prussik and quickdraw below you.
Yeeea popcorn it was
Subtitulos en español👏👏👏
How do you tie the know that she has on her harness? I have looked everywhere but can't find it. Can someone pleeeeaaaasseeeee tell me? Im desperate
Haahhaha first I thought was that the song name is "palomitas de maíz", didn't know the english name
Could helped our search as well :)))
Carles Tortosa this guy from the vid also said the Spanish name first 😊
Yes, lol.
Hi! I was wondering if you could make a video about how to gain confidence after a biiiig and very bad fall pleaseeeeee 👏
Find trustworthy belayer, start baby steps ;) Fear of falling indoors video has nice steps you can follow ;)
Is she climbing with double bowline instead of fig.8? Could you do a video on the knot?
