I was honestly quite sad that this video finished when it did. I felt as if I had just sat in a cinema for 2 hours. To have this climbing video available on RUclips, for free, that feels like a complete cinematic experience, WITH some of, if not, the best climbing and cinematic production, I've ever seen, is absolutely incredible. Well done to sam, Aidan and everyone involved. Absolute masterpiece, very keen to see what the future has in store for wedge.

Others have pointed out Aidan's skill at articulation. I was blown away when he said the following:
"There was a moment where I like really realized; oh wow like, you've become attached to the idea of doing both of these climbs, and like that is like affecting you in the moment when you're on the wall. I just need to climb in the moment and be able to detach from this idea of doing both of these climbs."
The amount of wisdom crammed into those two sentences is captivating. I've been stuck on something for a long time now, and those words were extremely useful for me to hear!

This video shows what real competition is in climbing; taking it to the next level by competing against yourself and everyone encouraging each other to do their personal best.
And it is so great that it is being done by kids coming out of the gym and comp circuits. ( At just shy of 70; Magnus still seems an older kid.) As someone who has climbed since ' 66; the attitude and peer support is maybe better than I have ever seen.
Congratulations to this generation of climbers.

I'm blown away. Not only by the content of this video, but the language used to articulate the content. The language used to articulate climbing and training is still quite immature compared to other more established and popular sports. I think Aidan has evolved said language and is making the seemingly impossible to comprehend actually quite easy to digest. Incredible. A milestone for climbing and the start of something that will transcend time. Thankyou to all involved, inspirational is an understatement. ❤

Using mastery as a storyline is amazing. It's so much better than just having Alphane as the main storyline. I wish I can hear Aiden's thoughts about this road of Mastery in 20-30 years time. All the 'guest?' in the movie just adds an extra layer to the story. It feels like it is from a book. Great work!!!! (sat still for 20 minutes appreciating how good the film is)

Thanks so much! We were very keen for it to not just be a film about doing a really hard climb, but instead have the climb as part of the process. Glad it came across that way!

Absolutely amazing film. Well done! I love how much it differs from Alphane. Kind of like two boulder problems that are different but beautiful in their own way.
