I bought the Fusion from SXPro the day it came out.. I’ve never regretted it, still use it on every mix I do.. When you us use the SSL MB Comp side chained to it, fantastic controlled energy!

As with any analogue outboard gear, you can't run an offline bounce as the audio won't be run through the Fusion. As such you do need to print the recording in real time. Cubase has an option to "ping" the outboard to measure the latency of the round trip and compensate for it. You can search for "cubase external fx delay compensation" for further info on this.

@ Not at all, that’s not what I did here. The audio is run in real time from a single output of my audio interface, into the Fusion, then back to an input of my interface. In Logic I’m using the i/o plugin to send and receive the audio on the track the audio is on, not bouncing through to another track. I run all my analogue gear in real time until the mix is done then perform one bounce to capture it all in one go.
Excellent video, I definitely did not know that there was an alternative mode to the comp section. I liked everything the Fusion added to the final mix except when you cranked up "SPACE", it seemed to give the acoustic guitars and bass drum a lot of mud. Did you like it as it was or would you have polished it later with another EQ?
There is something of a low-mid "boost" when using the space. When I do these videos I tend to go a touch too far to help accentuate the features over a RUclips video. In practice, I tend to mix somewhat more subtle and probably wouldn't go this far in the actual mix.

I have Fusion, but never use vintage drive, because of the noise , unfortunately the noise is different in two channels and this is annoying, I sent two times to my official dealer of SSL and he said it’s normal for analog equipment, but it’s not. What Do you think about it?
As you can see in our video we are using LOADS of the vintage drive because its sounds brilliant. If yours doesn’t, it must be faulty and it is absolutely not true that it’s “normal for analog equipment” to sound different in each channel especially in a stereo unit like the Fusion. There are a couple of examples of boutique analog gear on the market with slightly varying noise floors in the left/right channel but they should still work and match perfectly in the sonics respectively.
I've heard a Number of people complain about the noise in the VD circuit, just to reinforce what you're hearing. One friend of mine is a mastering engineer and pulled the whole unit from his rack declaring it unusable. I wonder if it was a 'batch' issue?
Sounds like a fault to me, our unit is crystal clear. It's possible, given the sheer number of units out there, that a few may have or develop a fault. SSL are fabulous at resolving these sorts of things so anyone with such issues should contact their dealer and get it taken care of.

What were you thinking? I very much like my Fusion but this video is pretty worthless when considered critically.
Firstly, I would only adjust the output if the overall processed signal is actually notably increased or decreased in volume. However, there are times when I wouldn't; as an example when making large boosts to the EQ, but when using compression this reduces the volume output also, meaning there is no or very little need to alter the output level. Secondly, i'm also not perfect. The video is designed to introduce some potentially new ideas to people who have a Fusion or possibly even inspire others to purchase one if they're on the fence about it. I believe I achieved my goal and judging by the overwhelming likes and positive feedback on the video, everyone else appears to think so too. If you found it worthless, then this video probably wasn't aimed at you and you are of course free to spend your time on other channels instead of this one.
The Fusion is one of the best selling, most positively received outboard units every year since it came out, so that is definitely not the case. I think this video proves it is a top-drawer addition to any studio.
