Great videos Eric! I’m a DIYer, I did PPF installed on my 5th gen CR-V (hood, bumper&fender) and I’m very happy with the result. Surprisingly I got it one time. At first I’m hesitant to do it because based on comments of installers 5th gen CR-V bumpers are very hard to do. I used your videos and I follow your instructions from prepping up to installation of PPF and I’m very glad that I finished it with in a day.. Your channel is very helpful and lots of great advise from you..
I'm a regular detailer looking to take the plunge into PPF installation so I'm all about the beginner advice videos. My main concern right now is do I buy an $11,000(CAD) plotter (ie. Graphtec 9000) and spend ~$100/month for the software that cuts the shapes for me...
This is a great question. I would say if you can find a good used plotter that can cut PPF that would be a great place to start. As for the cutting software fee, look at it as a kind of insurance. The $100 a month for accurate patterns is money very, very well spent! Shoot me an email at eric@driveprotected.com if you need any other help or have any other questions!
