Just like in Okinawa he didn’t understand how much danger Daniel was in until he saw firsthand chozen strangling Daniel with a spear and realized Sato and chozen considered Daniel guilty by association.

Silver got to her & made it seem like Daniel was the one that was the one AGAINST HIM & not letting the past go & that he (Silver) was the victim because supposedly Daniel sent Chozen over to Cobra Kai to beat up a bunch of innocent Sensei's at Silvers dojo which wasn't true but Amanda believed him over Daniel anyway (which to me was ridiculous on her part & leaving Daniel & taking the kids with her was way over the line) because as usual she was looking & not seeing & as Sam said in S3 not paying attention to what the REAL problem was. She looked at the man that Silver was presenting himself as on the outside (which Silver took advantage of) & wasn't seeing the man that he truly is on the inside: Like Mr. Miyagi, Daniel, Chozen, Anoush, Robby, Tory were able to do (& probably Sam would have as well if she had met Silver face to face, due to her taking her dad's word to heart a lot better after learning her lesson with Kyler)
I also thought the same thing at first but later when I rewatched it karate kid 3 Daniel became angry man even before he started to train in cobra kai.

I’ve seen that movie so many times and every time I watch that scene its still heartbreaking every time thats why Robert mark kamen did a spectacular job not just this movie but with all three the karate kid franchise all the way to the cobra Kai franchise there both super good!

I felt sad for Mr Miyagi the way Daniel spoke to him that broke my heart, Terry wanted to hurt Mr Miyagi for what he did to John Kreese and the loss of their Cobra Kai students..............remember the line Terry delivered " him I hurt through the kid " I think he knew and suspected that Daniel was being brainwashed by the evil Cobra Kai because he refused to defend his title. An Identical scene was in Season 5 of Cobra Kai when Terry Silver tried playing off Amanda and Daniel against each other after the charity auction, it was Jessica that made Amanada realise what he was like she came to her senses after her husband Daniel was badly beaten by the evil Terry Silver in their first fight, she helped through his depression and to take down the evil Terry Silver once and for all.
I had no sympathy for miyagi he turned his back on his student when he needed him. Daniel wouldn’t have gone anywhere near silver if miyagi hadn’t acted like an asshole
Daniel should have explained the situation to miyagi a little better. Maybe if he would have explained that those guys were relentlessly stalking and harassing him until he agreed to defend his title instead of either screaming at miyagi about it or babbling like an incoherent baby miyagi would have caught on earlier to the severity of the situation.
Miyagi knew Barnes was forcing Daniel to compete and still refused to train Daniel when Daniel asked for it, so Miyagi why Daniel had to compete and should've understood Daniel getting mad here. And with all the stuff Daniel was going through, he had a right to be mad.

Mr. Miyagi annoyed me in this movie. Mike FORCED and THREATENED Daniel to enter the tournament and poor Daniel wouldn't have had to go to Silver for help if Mr. Miyagi had just agreed to train him in the first place to fight Mike.

Mr. Miyagi annoyed me in this movie. Mike FORCED and THREATENED Daniel to enter the tournament and poor Daniel wouldn't have had to go to Silver for help if Mr. Miyagi had just agreed to train him in the first place to fight Mike.

Sorry, but I found myself disagreeing with Miyagi here. What was Daniel supposed to do? Miyagi really didn't offer another solution. Love or hate Silver, Daniel had no one else to turn to as long as Miyagi refused to train him.
