daniel and kumiko has always been one of my favorite movie ships. and when i learned that the deleted scenes from cobra kai season 3 were released, i immediately decided to make this 🤗 even though they may not be endgame, one can't deny their chemistry... may it be 30 years ago or now ️🔥

I actually hope cobra Kai ends with Daniel and Kumiko somehow reuniting. As much as I like Amanda, I seriously can’t picture what ever drew her and Daniel together. Kumiko was his true love and always will be. I think the perfect sendoff for Daniel would be to have the last ending scene of the show be a re-enactment of the tea ceremony between him and her. Maybe with Mike Barnes coming back and cobra Kai gaining control, Amanda finally has enough. You never know.

Aww, this is such a sweet tribute to them! As much as I love Amanda, I wish these two could have ended up together instead. Very beautiful video, love the song and the editing!
This song seemed just made for them. I really wanted them to end up together… but I am not sure how that will complicate the storyline of Cobra Kai. But seeing them danced… again brought me back to memories some 30+ years ago when I was in high school and this movie was a hit. That dance was so my high school days that I felt I was back in time again when dancing was like expression of how you feel for each other ❤️ But when the hugged each other in this video… i felt they are really soulmates. I wanted them to end up together… but there’s something quite beautiful in their story -- perhaps true love -- that adding something to it is scary that it might change something between them. Daniel was looking for Mr Miyagi… and he ended up seeing Kumiko. Maybe she’s not just a partner for Daniel… but more of light… a glimmer of hope… a direction. I don’t know. But it’s simply a beautiful story whether they end up together or not. Maybe sometimes even if it’s painful, there’s beauty in not ending up with the one you truly love… not ending as husband and wife… but best friends or somebody that brings balance to your life. Who knows….
Writers should have thought this out and got them together from the beginning

I thought it interesting that he was looking for Miyagi, because he died. I'm sure he died in the States, because he had come back with Daniel from Okinawa. (Especially when he did the Next Karate Kid with Hilary Swank.)
well thats life. you dont always end up with your soulmate. i married who i was supposed to but my soulmate was my best friend which unfortunately lost her life in a car crash. i still miss her to this day. but i know that god put me with who i was meant to be with

Now that they set out Chozen's storyline with Kumiko and Daniel married there's no chance of them getting back together but I really love this video and how it was edited.. Good memories remain though they can't be together just like how they left it with Ali in her cameo appearance.

There is a brief moment where Amanda leaves Daniel. I'm pretty sure when that happened we all thought it was setting up for Daniel and Kumiko getting together. However, plot twist, we find out Chozen and Kumiko are destined to be together.

Season 5 really brought Daniel/kumiko shippers out. Probably because big disappointment. Well there’s always fan fiction. I like Amanda!
They should have kept it in the season… They could have cut to a scene of both of them waking up in bed at Daniel’s hotel room. In bed with just a sheet on…. Both sharing a morning tea 🫖 then Daniel having to rush off to the airport almost missing his flight ✈️ back home

Kumiko said “akisamiyo” and from what I’ve learned, it’s like an Okinawan slang that translates to a feeling of surprise. Perhaps, it’s something like “oh my!” in English.

Hi! Extreme Music is apparently a production company under Sony which exclusively produces music for shows, etc. I don't think that I'll Never Say Goodbye was specifically produced for Cobra Kai though, but it was the song playing in Kumiko and Daniel's season 3 deleted scenes.
Extreme Music isn't a band. It's a production music arm of Sony Music Publishing. I searched a lot but couldn't find anything about the actual band either. Would love to know the name.

@@gilsan18 I was actually Googling more recently and eventually I came across this Spotify playlist that had all songs that were apparently 80’s ballads. The band seems to be called just Extreme instead of Extreme Music.
According to my personal point of view, Daniel and Kumiko should have been married because they do compliment each other completely.
