Nice job. The transparency of this video made it for me. (Not knowing what your doing) and repeating a few times. Then BOOM we’re done guys putting it all back. I liked it.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm trying real hard to put out quality DIY instructionals. It is hard to capture it all on video, especially these longer projects lol. I always appreciate your comments man! Thanks!
What is funny though is i did this back in March and pulled the VVT solenoids off to remove the valve covers. Then literally no joke last night before this video posted one of the VVTs went bad lol...so that video is coming as well
@@caleblandry2580 I belive it reads the timing chain as it goes by and gives that info to the computer. Not entirely sure as of yet. I have a bit of research to do
That hose you say was a pain in the butt is that the hose that’s connected to the fuel part that bolted down on the corner of the plenum. Does that one connect to the the throttle body?
Good video! Question, how long is that flexible screw driver and where did you get it?, I've been trying to get the back passenger side valve cover screw off for about a week!.thanks
That actually isn't a screwdriver at all! You can pick them up at most autoparts stores, just a flexible magnet. Magnet is strong enough to hold the bolt enough that you can frustratingly get the first thread or two in place before getting it the rest of the way with a ratchet/socket
hey so I just got my 350z and I think a lot of oil is getting into the spark plug and it’s causing a misfire. do you think if I change the valve cover it should solve that?
After I did this I got a random misfire p0300 after a while it got p0021 changed the oil didn't help thought it might be coil pack and spark plug changed all of it still just p0300 and p0021 any suggestion?
I am not a mechanic by any means, but sounds like potentially a timing issue. The p0021 I think could relate to camshaft sensors. Let me know what you figure out!
Did you figure the p0300 out? I just got the code on my z for the spark plugs not being tapped correctly and the Pcv was damaged. Fixing them all today and will update

Oh crap that's been a minute since then I don't remember anymore haha
Great video...might try to do it myself too
Do it! It is fairly envolved, but not hard. Let me know how it goes if you do it!

Are you actually recommending -" To BUY a service manual ". Did I hear that right??
I don't remember what I say in this video but yes, I would recommend picking up a service/repair manual. Full of fantastic information.
