The mother of the 4-year-old boy who climbed into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo is under siege. Michelle Gregg was heard on the video trying to comfort her son as the 450-pound silverback gorilla, named Harambe, dragged him across the moat. Gregg posted a message: "As a society, we are quick to judge how a parent could take their eyes of their child. And if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids. Accidents happen." An online petition is calling for the mother to be prosecuted. #InsideEdition

The mother SHOULD have explained to her son that if he goes in, he may be hurt by the gorilla. Instead of saying no without any explanation. And I am sure, the child WOULD have understood the danger.
Well, I bet he does now.
To late, American dude came and killed it as expected from most of us. An American always slaughters, tortures and kills whatever they see as threat.
She shouldn't give an explanation tho. If she tells her child no then that's that. No means no. Period.
@@aceydishy9338 no, the gorilla didn’t do anything. The gorilla was playing. The gorilla didn’t hurt him. You know what did? Seeing humans in guns shoot an animal he wanted to interact with dead in front of him. He has a terrible mother and is probably traumatized
@Juno Jo no being a strict parent with high expectations for their child does that to a kid. If you can't discipline your child correctly then they'll turn out to be disrespectful kids with no morals in life
“Mommy loves you” 🙄
Not only is that the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard someone say at a moment like this, hearing the adults SCREAMING literally enrages me. That’s not only scaring the child more, it also probably made Harambe more nervous and on edge. This mother absolutely should be held responsible in many ways.
Exactly some kids react more when their mother says something in reaction to the situation he was in
Ofcourse when you've not being a situation like this, it's easy to judge other's reactions.
I took it as her saying she loves her as if she was saying that for the last time
I mean I would be in so much panic and desperation I wouldn't know what to do either
Tf did u want her to do when her child was gettin dragged by a gorilla💀💀
Accidentally fell in the cage; “I keep good watch on my children”
When you're grown and have your kids or taken care of little children i hope you keep an eye on them 24/7 and not have a single scratch on them.
Juicy you should watch your kids enough to not let them fall in cages at the zoo
zoe gacha THATS a terrible excuse. Any kid can go to the edge and fall down. Hence why it’s a hazard place for CHILDREN to be there. What just bc she has more children, it’s ok to commit mistakes like that? Does THAT sound like a justified thing? DOES IT?!

Exactly what was she supposed to do according to your expertise?
@@majestyiv2086 She didn't even freak out. Trying to clam your child is one thing but staying that calm as if nothing happened is disturbing. And what was she suppose to do? Call for help, trying to get zoo guards or something.
Idk, staying that calm as if nothing happened is sometimes what Peaceful Phlegmatic do. They sometimes barely even get excited on their wedding
And What's wrong with staying calm, it's not like panicking was gonna bring the zoo guards quicker?
If you were in the situation what would you do? Jumping into the Cage would just cause even more of a problem and seeing his mother panicking would make the child panic. She did the right thing by staying there.
R.I.P. Harambe… He died because of an idiotic parent not watching her child.

And the son told his mother, that he is going into the enclosure. So she knew beforehand, and yet she turned away to interact with her other kids... how come CPS let her keep her children. She is a disaster.
Disgusting that they killed him . Animals shouldn’t be on display in the first place .
Yes they should be on display. The provide a great source of entertainment, education as well as economic means to sustain the preservation of endangered species. Putting animals on display in a zoo is very good for humans, the enviroment as well as the animals themselves.
We made the same argument about people In insane asylum. Perhaps we should bring back the viewing pits for those.
It's either kill the gorilla or save the child
They had to kill him because if they tranquilized it he will be mad and take force on that child so thats why they had to use a bullet.
The human population compared to the gorilla population is too sad to even compare. Human lives should not be put before endangered species.

Mistakes happen. My kids have done things I never thought they could the second I looked away. But it was always AT HOME. in public I’m so stressed and anxious to keep my kids RIGHT by me. Either in a stroller or in my arms. This mom either had five minutes of unfortunate neglect or she just wasn’t a good mom to begin with. Her kid stated what he wanted. If my kid said that I’d keep even closer eye on them so they DONT proceed with that they’re saying. I don’t blame the zoo. I don’t blame harambe. That “mom” is fully to blame. Potata lmfao
Harambe, we need you now more than ever.
As these words have been uttered out time and time again…
Every child deserves a parent, not every parent deserves a child.
I’d be jumping in there if my son was there. She is just saying “mommy loves you”
ong bruh
then the gorilla would get a double kill stupid
@aRctic why would a child’s pants not be pulled up?
Facts

Mystic McElligott yes rip 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢😢😢
Kid: LITTERALLY dying, getting dragged around in a gorilla, legit about to kill him.
Kids mother: “MoMmY lOvEs yOu”
Any real mother would’ve been down there getting dragged around as well to save their child , she just watched from the sidelines ..what the world ?
That child was sooo chilll
Shining Star
Yeah !!!!
Bcz he don't know what's going on
probably because he wasn't in danger. that Hamambe was trying to help the baby...he wasn't going to hurt him. he fiddles with the kid's clothing to find something to hold him by that didn't hurt him.
Eagle Claw Gaming
Lollllssss
Eagle Claw Gaming frtt
Silly Green Fairy How is a gorilla dragging a 3 year old around count as helping
Just because the mom was not watching her kid an innocent life left this world R.I.P. harambe you will be in our hearts forever
Remember she had other kids she just can't keep an eye on one kid she needs to watch the others also she told her kid no so it wasn't her or the kids fault it was nobodys fault.
@@rockytheman5986 Yeah but the kid said "I'm gonna go in there"
@@tmutswiri suppose*
@@tmutswiri and again your point!
@@rockytheman5986 my mom has six kids and she manages to look after all of us
I can’t believe this… this started it all
When the mom says “mommy’s here” it gets me mad because she wasnt there to watch her kid apparently
*There's NO excuse for not watching a four year old when you're standing next to a GORILLA enclosure. Mommy Dearest should be prosecuted for causing the death of this poor animal.*
Couldn't agree more!!!!
Seeing as your profile picture suggests your a mother put yourself in the place of that mother. She checks on her 3 other kids and turns around to see her child plummeting into a gorilla exhibit. How would you feel?
Blue Wolf Respectfully, I would never bring *four* children to the zoo alone. Also, if my child was being persistent about entering the enclosure and being as aggressive about it as everyone around her said he was, I most certainly would move him and the other children immediately away. Bare minimum not take my eyes off of him. I am very glad the little boy is ok but sad Harambe had to lose his life over it.
+Cindy Rizzato Yes, it's just terrible and everything you posted is the truth, and I'm glad you posted the information so people can understand it!! And stop blaming Harambe!! So again I'm glad you posted the information so people can look it up and realize that Silverback Harambe did not need to be shot!! Makes me sick!!!
+Cindy Rizzato Ugh, f**k them!!! They just don't like the truth, you should of seen all the hate messages i was receiving, and i told them, this is about all about a mother who did not watch her kid bottom line, and an endangered primate died because of that!!, And you or no one is gonna tell me otherwise!!! So do some reseach and then talk to me!!! And they never responded back, ha-ha!!!
"Accidents happen" huh they "sure do" especially with you
Noice
Nestle _Crunch I swear did your mom drop you or what-
@@unwxntedsxnflxwer8329 tf? What do you mean she said accidents happen when that wasn't an accident she let her kid go into a gorillas den and called it an accident and pushed it off as something casual the boy could've died
@@unwxntedsxnflxwer8329 like idk tf you talking about "did my mom drop me" gtfo😂
Nestle _Crunch Animal almost killed the child. Either way they had to kill the animal.
The racism and double standards in this comment section is disturbing. There should have never be animals locked up in a zoo. The zoo should have never killed the animal-end of discussion.
Funny how they only ever show the videos of him dragging the kid and rarely show him just curiously examining him.
The reason he started dragging the boy is because the crowd got him agitated by shouting and throwing things.
Its 2017 and im still sad about harambe R.I.P Harambe we will always love you
when i heard he died i cried
He almost killed a child....
nah i knew
him
I blame that stupid child's parents.
Charges on the mother!! She should be arrested. If the child says that he's going to jump in then, you pull them away. The gorilla should not have died. It pulled it from the deeper water to prevent it from drowning and then helped it to stand up. The mother should be charged and jailed and possibly loose custody of the child. She could have prevented that but, she didn't.
true they have no heart the mother shouldn't let her child do that even if he was kidding like someone said pull him away now thanks to this person or child the gorilla is now dead and the person who named the gorilla will be sad cause naming a animal is an honor
+Esi Jarquin yes. Poor child and Harambe. The mother is an idiot. She should get help, not say that "she loves him".
Petranellam04 ik
Were you there? shush!!
mom should be prosecuted! period
The enclosure shouldn't have been so accessible in the first place.
The Gorilla shouldn't have been put down. It's still a wild animal even if it was born in captivity. It and it acted on its instincts.
That mother was irresponsible, neglectful and downright idiotic.
2022, Harambe will always be in the internet's hearts.
HARAMBE LIVES ON
he will in our hearts
Ali Marafi I miss him;(
dicks out for harambe and harambe died for our sins
Ali Marafi yes🐵
Harambe had a better eye on that kid than the mother
