Why a 2-Year-Old Child Left Her House in the Middle of the Night

- Surveillance footage shows a two-year-old girl crossing the street all alone at night! A tiny toddler walked to a gas station convenience store, opened the door and went inside to buy some candy with two pennies! #InsideEdition
Well she's no thief. She paid for her candy.
I'm flattered that you said she's not a thief but she's never going to be able to buy anything candy with only two pennies. I'm only being honest
We arent saying shes a thief tho
That's true

The girl was lucky to bump into him.
Exactly 💯 she may not have been so lucky if she had left that store alone again !!! Busy traffic, sex offenders, druggies anything could have happened to that precious baby, and the mother says. "So What ?".

Shruti my sister is 4 and she wouldn’t even pay for the candy, she wouldn’t even get to the gasoline station because of how scared of the dark she is
This is so crazy. I am so glad the little girl is ok and is very brave.
It happens so easily. I was around 5 or 6 when I got up and left the house for no discernable reason. I had no plan like this sweet baby. I was very lucky a good man found me and took me to the police. ( small town in the 80s) His options were limited. My parents had no idea. They were asleep and all the doors and windows were locked. Thank goodness this little girl was saved by a good man too.
Jokes aside, the parents saying "So what? " really tells us the gravity of this situation....
Yes, did they really say "So what?" If they did, I retract my non-judgemental statement earlier.
She is probably used to fend for herself, that's why she is so independent
@@livableincome They didn’t actually say “So what”. The cop said that to illustrate their lack of concern. He said something akin to: “Your three-year-old is walking around out there by herself at 11:00 at night and you’re just here like SO WHAT!”
My child is 10 and I would still notice he was gone before he made it to the store. They had to pick her up at the police station. What the hell were they doing??

I was 3 and 4 years old walking alone around North Philly in the 1960s with the same sense of independence. My father would take trolley cars and subways at 5 years of age in the 1920s to go to the movies. Some children are born independent, confident, fearless, and with the intelligence to put it all together.

Yes that's exactly what I am thinking about
i've done this exact same thing when i was a kid and i'm sure there's some kind of neglect happening here.
Two year old**
There might be neglect but I highly doubt it, sometimes kids can just be like that. They’re parents probably don’t give her daughter candies but rather food for breakfast, dinner and some snacks. Maybe she doesn’t get candies from them and just was craving candies. I used to crave candies as a kid. It could be possible though but just from my perspective no
Oh my word my three years old could dress them selfs. To me it sounds like good parenting. They just need to put locks up higher where she cant un lock them. But shes pretty smart. I sure she would of got a chair to get up on to unlock them. Smart little kid. I had one that was real smart at that age.. And then i had another i did everything for. 😂😂😂

When my now 9 year old was 3-4, she was an enterprising young lass as well. We had a weird shaped apartment and the back door was directly adjacent to the bedroom, living room was through the entire kitchen on the other side of the house. We used to baby gate her into her room for naps when she was a toddler, but once she was potty trained it wasn't an option because she had to be able to get to the bathroom. She figured out the HIGH UP latch no problem (she used her step stool from the bathroom) and let herself out. She was caught almost immediately and another more "childproof" latch was put on the door....so of course she did it again. The last time she went across the street because our neighbors (who we didn't know) had a birthday party with a giant inflatable slide. 🤦🏻♀️ my husband called me at work panicking because he couldn't find her (he did a few minutes later). That was the last straw. That door got latches on latches and two alarms put on it. I showed her the alarm and she was so upset by how loud it was she never even tried again. Money well spent, I suppose. I wish AirTags had existed them, I'd have just lo-jacked her!
Awww her dropping those penny’s for candy, literally breaks by heart. She was probably hungry! : (

I hope she was taken from her family and put with a family that will actually love and look after her…
