    I’m 38. Literally watching this 3 years after you posted and I can’t tell you how this has helped me and changed the whole experience from applying concealer to throughout the hours after wearing it!!! I have very drying under eyes which I take care of with creams etc but till now no other setting style has ever worked for me without giving me more creases!! So if you’re like me, very dry under eye, lots of creasing then seriously THIS WORKS!!!! Thank you so much for sharing! 🥳

      I understand your position! I "lost" my mid-40s thru my mid-50s, due to chronic pain, multiple surgeries, etc.. Although I'm no where near 100%, I have learned to live in my own "new normal". When I started wearing makeup (sometimes) again, my skin was 10 years older, and was a whole new experience in dealing with wrinkles, dry skin, facial hair, drooping eyelids, jowls, and all those other wonderful things that happen to our skin as we age (not counting those ladies who are rolling in extra $$$, and can afford all sorts of "extras" to combat the aging process!).
      It has been a challenge for me, and certainly some days are far better than others, but I have learned to accept and work around my personal "new normal", and I hope that you are able to do the same!

    Ok, I tried this and I am thrilled with the results! Concealing my under eye circles and bags has been the bane of my existence since I turned 40 three years ago. I recently gave up on makeup because I couldn’t figure out how to put on makeup without appearing older (which if you knew me, you’d know is so unlike me!). The results are flawless, I’m still in shock! I tried it with Pat McGrath concealer on one eye and NARS creamy concealer on the other. I used Morphe setting spray and Laura Mercier secret brightening powder and BOTH eyes came out so well! The best part is this is easier than any of the countless other techniques I’ve tried. The powder almost can’t be overdone because of the finish of the setting spray. My wrinkles are completely under control and I didn’t even hydrate before as a precaution. Even though the concealers have different consistencies, they both came out looking equally on point. THANK YOU LADIES, this may be the best in my bag of tricks yet! ❤️❤️❤️ Robyn

    I’d like to let you know my experience with this “trick”, it absolutely works! I’ve tried every concealer brand/trick and it never ends well. But I’m here to say THIS absolutely works. Why didn’t I think of this. During the warmer and humid months, I use the same steps prior to using my foundation. Since I’m a firm believer in keeping a minimum amount of product to the under eye area, this makes perfect sense, stayed all day, no dry out caking and didn’t accentuate my fine lines.

    Love this old-school trick. I have been doing this trick for 2 years now, I first heard about this trick from Mr. Wayne Goss's channel. This trick is also great for glasses wearer because it can prevent glasses from rubbing off makeup. If you do not want to use your finger, you can spray a beauty blender with setting spray to set the concealer before applying powder. If you have dry under-eye, you can plump the skin with a lot of eye cream, it also helps to prevent creasing.

    You are my new favorite go to when it comes to makeup tutorials! I just tried this along with your latest flawless foundation tutorial (the one where you dust on your setting powder before your foundation) and I can't believe the difference it's made in the way my makeup looks! I am in my early 40's and when I was younger I loved to wear makeup, and knew every trick to wearing it and how to accentuate your best features. Over the last couple of years though, I moved out to a house on the lake and all but stopped wearing makeup because I didn't really have any reason to. During that time, my skin has changed a lot, and I hadn't kept up with the new products so I have been pretty discouraged and overwhelmed whenever it came to buying new makeup and applying it. Everything I tried looked terrible on me and aged me a great deal. Many of the tutorials that I watched were for women younger than myself and while I thought the looks and techniques were beautiful, I felt ridiculous trying to pull them off on myself. I had just reached the point where I was ready to just throw in the towel when I came across one of your videos for how to do your eyeshadow and it immediately had me looking up your other tutorials. Is there any advice you can give on tricks and products to use for when your eyelids look crepey (is that a word? Lol!) after putting on eyeshadow?

    WOW!! Thank you!!! I'm so sick & tired of how my undereye area tends to look "cakey" after concealer & setting powder!! I really have to WATCH OUT, depending on which powder I try to use with which concealer!!! Either too powdery looking, cakey or makes me look like that part of my face is 30 years older! And everyone always tells me I look so much younger than I actually am.. thank you again!! So very much!!! Sending love, light & positive vibes your way!! 💜💙☺️

    It works. That’s what I do. And if you use a cold jade roller on your face before applying your makeup it helps even more. Oh, and when washing your face use cold water to rinse (the colder the better) all this helps minimize pores and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

      I took a trick from Robert Welsh & Goss collectively & have finally stopped looking for that 'magic concealer' bc I can now use all of the ones I previously purchased 💞
      I apply just a bit of a highlighting concealer to inner corners of eye (working slightly down with tapping or blender) & to the outer corner working up toward temple... nothing directly under (something to do with light reflection 👈 Robert Welsh has entire video about it). This alone was all I needed but additionally (taken from Wayne Goss), after applying foundation (for me in this heat generally just a tinted moisturizer or BB) & concealer, I take a Kleenex, pull into individual ply, wrap it over damp beauty blender & tap around eye area (I do my entire face) & it may not seem like much of anything but there is some witchy sorcerer magic thing happening bc it makes a huge difference.
      The fact that I abandon most 'tricks' after a few days but do this every single day says it all!
      After that, I usually just dab a lil cream blush, might do eyes depending on plans & rarely wear powder anymore!

    • @KG9551
      @KG9551 4 года назад

      Since you are still quite young, may I suggest that you do your very best to keep your body very hydrated -- drink lots and lots of water, then drink some more; keep your skin moisturized with the best moisturizer you can afford -- use one more delecate type for your face, and another for your skin (you may find that trial and error will help you find just the right brand/formula that keeps your skin moisturized!) These 2 things will take you far and keeping your skin as youthful looking as possible!! In retrospect, I wish I had been more regimented with my hydrating routine beginning when I was your age, or even younger! It still helps now, but it is easier to get ahead of the problem, than try to catch up in later years!!

      I turned 40 a couple of weeks ago on May 22nd, and honestly only about 3 months prior to turning 40 I started to see fine lines under my eyes( and around 37 my skin changed from oily to dry). I dont really have them anywhere else, and if I don't have makeup on i can't see them under my eyes, but I love makeup and I like to even out my skin, so I wear it pretty much daily. Its just hard because concealer does seem to make the lines more noticeable. Im hoping this works! Im wondering if there are certain setting sprays that work better or if anything will do.
