ANSWERING SOME QUESTIONS: 1. The effect is only supposed to last 6 hours, but I found my makeup looked flawless all day. 2. You CAN wear skincare/sunscreen underneath, but the box says you have to make sure it has truly soaked in, and it can possibly impact your results. That said, it might be best used only on special occasions or a night out, not as an everyday primer for some people. Hope this helps!
I was definitely wondering that! As someone with dry skin, I really need moisturizer and of course sunscreen as well, and I generally choose dewier moisturizers take a while to sit down (like Tatcha dewy skin cream). At night, however, it could be a very nice product to use with a light moisturizer underneath. 😍
This def looks like a great idea for that special occasion or event- not sure that everyone has the time to first wait for skincare/sunscreen to sink in fully... and then also wait the 7 minutes to let this dry. Wonder if it works with powder foundations? This for doing the legwork for us Risa!

Try mixing the eye primer with the concealer then apply to under eyes. I do this with Elf puddy primer and it smooths everything under the eye. Game changer for sure ! Thanks Risa you’re the best and the most beautiful make up artist out there ❤️😊.

I recently tried the PTR eye fix and it 1000% works. You cannot use liquid on top of it … but you can use powder! I’m testing out several powder foundations to use as concealer under my eye for the winning combo! Tip! If you get a salt stain buff it out rather than using water so you retain the firming effect.

I love the PTR eye tightener for the "luggage" under my eyes, my "11s", and the horizontal crease across my nose right between my eyes. I don't have much discoloration, so a blurring powder is all I need for concealer in those areas. The results have been amazing and a huge confidence boost! Now I'm very excited to try this primer. OMG I have the horizontal crease between the eyes too! I don't have those vertical 11s though, just crows feet for days. I'm 57 and we all thought sunscreen was only for people that burned badly or for beach lol. Tanning with baby oil and iodine what were we thinking? Added to that I've ridden horses almost daily my whole life and didn't have sense enough for sunglasses

Typically I apply my serum onto clean skin, which I wouldn’t do with this, then my sunscreen & wait 10 minutes. Then I apply my primer & foundation/concealer. Where does sunscreen fit in with this primer?
Any products you use before this need to soak into the skin for at least 15 minutes. This primer should be your last step before foundation and I honestly can’t say for sure if it will or won’t impact your results. This is something you may just want to save for nights out or special occasions.

Caliray is great for pore smoothing, but I really like how this one softened my smile lines. It depends which issue bothers you the most, although this PTR does smooth pores a bit too.

I have been looking for that perfect primer that will blur your pores and help with texture but I want to find something I can use everyday and something I can wear over my normal skincare.

It's because it contains salt, and anything with water anywhere in it will melt the effects. But, powder works. And for special nights out, it gets a thumbs up.

I'm looking hard for a top of the line face primer for my 69 ear old skin that isn't horrible wrinkled but does have some sagging & medium marionette folds. You look great in this! I might try it. Peter Thomas Roth makes an uneven range of products. But there are a few things I really like. His FirmX Peeling Gel is a good, quick exfoliator (I use Kate Somerville Exfolikate if I want to do a more thorough job). Also his Retinol Fusion for Face and the Retinol Fusion Body cream are very effective. The face product is a time released serum, and works for sensitive skin, like mine (rosacea). And the body cream, used regularly (when I have the discipline) reduces crepey skin and improves elasticity. Thanks for the video!💚

I bought the PTR eye cream for under eyes and it works. I used it 2-3 times and now it’s collecting dust under my bathroom sink. The ONLY reason I haven’t kept using is bc when it dries, it turns into a powder and flakes and you can’t get rid of it. If someone out there can give me some tips to use, I’d be grateful ❤
I’ve had great success with the eye primer by using it quite sparingly, just a fine film. I apply it after all of my makeup plus waiting at least 30 minutes for the makeup to settle in. How much is a fine film? As if you wanted the tube to last for 10 years.
Risa can you film how it wore after a few hours and add the clip to the videos instead initial wear only? I can’t say i would buy it if i don’t know how it performed.
The iPhone camera footage was actually after a couple of hours, I probably should have noted that. The lifting and smoothing effect only claims to last 6 hours, but my makeup still looked flawless beyond that.
Hot and flashy also did a video on this product, she did her full morning routine and then sunscreen she then waited about 20 min like any product going over sunscreen and it worked great. So you can still use your other products with this. 😊
I’m definitely going to try that primer and I’m interested in the eye cream you mentioned by the same brand because I’m okay with not using concealer on some makeup no makeup days!

I ordered this and just got it when I put it on. This seems to be another version of his under eye product to help bags disappear, except there's no way you can wear concealer over it nor under. If the primer could be used under eyes, and foundation or concealer worn over it, then I'd try it. I'd like to see a video about this technique.
I put all my makeup on over moisturizer, color corrector and concealer and let it all set in, 15-30 minutes. Then I apply the PTR eye primer and the results are amazing. It easily takes 10 years off my appearance, possibly more. And it lasts for many hours. The key is to use a very light application as evenly as possible.
This is my question. Even though I’m quite oily for my age, I do like the feel of oil-free moisturizer and feel it helps balance my skin. I do have success with PTR products, so I def need to check this out.

It wore great! The “lifting and smoothing” effect only lasts about 6 hours, but overall my makeup still looked flawless! The next time I used it I did apply a moisturizer, but let it soak in for about 20 minutes before applying the primer.
I wanted this primer so bad but I had no idea it was supposed to be applied to a clean face. I am pretty strict on my skincare routine and always end with moisturizer and SPF. I don't think I could skin those steps. But I did my skincare and SPF this morning and I am going to try using this tonight with foundation before I am ready to cleanse and do my skincare routine. I am hoping it works.

The Bare Minerals concealer (or something similar) might be a good option for this.
Does the powder on top dry out the undereyes like powder normally does or does the firm eye stuff act like a barrier and let the powder smooth on top?

I have dry skin, and this was a total fail. I absolutely can’t go without moisturizer. This made my skin look 20 years older in a couple hours.

Risa can you film how it wore after a few hours and add the clip to the videos instead initial wear only? I can’t say i would buy it if i don’t know how it performed.
The iPhone camera footage was actually after a couple of hours, I probably should have noted that. The lifting and smoothing effect only claims to last 6 hours, but my makeup still looked flawless beyond that.

Hot and flashy also did a video on this product, she did her full morning routine and then sunscreen she then waited about 20 min like any product going over sunscreen and it worked great. So you can still use your other products with this. 😊

I’m definitely going to try that primer and I’m interested in the eye cream you mentioned by the same brand because I’m okay with not using concealer on some makeup no makeup days!
Thank you for recommending this product. I have the Peter Thomas Roth eye product that does a similar thing. However, I had a hard time wearing it with make up. I ordered this and just got it when I put it on. It seemed great when I put on make up feels like the same thing the effect lessened by a lot do you have any recommendations for a specific make up that will not lessen the effects of this Peter Thomas Roth primer? i learned from your YT bestie Stephanie Marie about the Strivectin primer which was fortunately included in the Ulta Skin sale recently. I have not tried it yet since I am still finishing up the Elf primer. Now I have another primer to wait to be on sale.

You know I've tried products like this before they left a white residue and I didn't hear you say anything about that always put moisturizer on before I'm definitely going to give this a try thank you so much for taking the time to find something that might actually work instead of all the ones that dont out there I like to talk but it is hard to decipher which products that they're saying work to which ones that really actually don't work so I appreciate all the effort you put into that and your skin looks great you look beautiful what moisturizer do you use as well your skin is beautiful

This seems to be another version of his under eye product to help bags disappear, except there's no way you can wear concealer over it nor under. If the primer could be used under eyes, and foundation or concealer worn over it, then I'd try it.

I know, makes me wonder. Those products really do work……..IF you apply it just right and don’t put anything over it.
I put all my makeup on over moisturizer, color corrector and concealer and let it all set in, 15-30 minutes. Then I apply the PTR eye primer and the results are amazing. It easily takes 10 years off my appearance, possibly more. And it lasts for many hours. The key is to use a very light application as evenly as possible.
How does it feel under makeup? Does your skin feel dry and tight? What was the wear time?
This is my question. Even though I’m quite oily for my age, I do like the feel of oil-free moisturizer and feel it helps balance my skin. I do have success with PTR products, so I def need to check this out.

Hi Risa! I’m curious as to how this primer wore through the day. I work long days and need my makeup to last. Also, I’m a leery about not being able to use moisturizer, sunscreen etc.. How did your skin feel at the end of the day?
It wore great! The “lifting and smoothing” effect only lasts about 6 hours, but overall my makeup still looked flawless!
The next time I used it I did apply a moisturizer, but let it soak in for about 20 minutes before applying the primer.
I wanted this primer so bad but I had no idea it was supposed to be applied to a clean face. I am pretty strict on my skincare routine and always end with moisturizer and SPF. I don't think I could skin those steps. But I did my skincare and SPF this morning and I am going to try using this tonight with foundation before I am ready to cleanse and do my skincare routine. I am hoping it works.
What about the daily skincare you would normally apply, like moisturizer and sunscreen?
