can you make a video about talking to boys? Not love-of-my-life type it’s just I can’t make a conversation without feeling stressed ,anxious and not myself I just raise my voice and stutter and keep moving my hands . I have a catchy personality I know but something happens when speaking to boys. If you read this then thank you:)
My dad died 6 months ago and I have been mentally and emotionally defeated ever since so I am extremely grateful you have made this channel for me to find little steps to getting my life back.
It's been a couple months since you commented and I hope you're doing better. My dad died about a year and half ago, and it totally turns your world upside down, I know. There are a lot of feelings that are hard to make sense of. I fell into a pit of depression, and if you feel yourself going that way I would really encourage you to talk to someone, severe depression is no joke. I'm really proud of you for looking to take back your life, and I hope your journey goes well. It's not a linear path, but I'm rooting for you and I hope you find acceptance and what you're looking for.
I’m sorry for your loss, but remember, you gotta keep moving. Ofc I don’t know, but I bet your dad would not be happy knowing his passing hurt you so much.
I hope you found some healing & peace. I lost my father 2 months ago. He was in perfect health & it was so sudden that I'm still struggling to accept it. I feel you.
I lost my Dad about a year ago now also. It gets better day by day. Just remember to let yourself feel what you feel. I don't think we'll ever stop missing them, but it will and does get easier as time passes. Wishing you a good journey in healing and getting back to yourself 👍
Summary: 1. Get out for some minutes immediately after standing up 2. Do something you like once a week 3. Dress nicely to be confident of how you look 4. Daily bullet journal of things that you keep in order (household etc) 5. Work out, eat and drink healthy things
@@loopingdope It's really telling of the times we live in (not just you and me personally, but in general), that we find it difficult to even do things we like.
“Restoring Order”, love it. I told my stepson years ago “Im not forcing you to make your bed everyday but just try it, walking into your room and seeing a neatly packaged bed will make you feel a whole lot better” To this day 20 something years later its the first thing he does every day, and he thanks me for it.
I think making your bed is the dumbest thing ever. You mess it up again every single night, you see it only when you sleep and you're the only one who does see it. If you're not the only one who sees it, then the bed is sure going to be messed up anyway.
@@JaysonT1I agree with you. You're just gonna mess it up again BUT I started doing it and Everytime I walk into my room it makes me feel more at peace for it to look tidy. Also it's cozier. Try it for a week or 2, you might like it.
Hello, i read your comment a few weeks ago and decided to incorporate bed making into my daily routine and honestly, its comforting, my life doesn’t have much going for me, go to work come back and sleep then repeat, its lifeless and coming back to a messy bed doesn’t help either, after going into the habit i come home to a tidy and clean bed although i know that i made it but i felt comforted and in a way.. less lonely.
I've been making mental notes of when I feel really good. I always feel my best when I go for long walks in nature, with no real plan or direction. To simply explore new places and take paths that I've never walked down before. To just sit and appreciate the magic that surrounds us that often goes unnoticed. To breathe in the air and feel the wind on my skin. To notice the bugs scurrying around on the ground and the trees and flowers swaying in the wind. Even if I'm stuck in a busy and crowded city, there are always little details to focus on. It's simply magic and it's always grounding, reminding me what really matters. Also helps immensely with my creativity and inspiration in my own work and videos. 🌿
@@survival_man7746 yes! Exactly! It's easy to write when it's hard but write when you feel good too. Being able to track your steps back through good periods is super important

6:57 presenting yourself in a way that reflects your dignity is huge. Love the way you framed this, its about finding the fine line between using your appearance for external validation or believing appearance is only for validation and ignoring it. But if you put yourself together in a way YOU like for yourself, that intention is going to start the feedback loop with your subconscious to make you feel better about yourself. Awesome thoughts Joey.
Definitely agree with the feedback loop idea. He is absolutely correct that focusing on your health will create the largest benefit in your life, but I feel like personal hygiene and expression can be closely related to that. It does not mean you need to wear expensive designer clothes that the rest of society says is cool, but you should be well groomed and present yourself cleanly, especially if you have the luxury of running water like most of us have to do so. Stay well!
Dude, that first step is one of the most underrated parts of everyday life. Doesn’t matter what the weathers like, every morning there’s an incredible smell in the air that really kicks you into gear.
As someone who also experienced a tough period mentally, one bonus tip I would give is: keep doing the things you know are good for you. This means: eating healthy, sleep and nutrition. But also social activities. Even when you don’t feel like it. This is crucial. If you do this then after a while feeling better will come. It may take a a short time. It may take a long time but it will come. The alternative: you don’t do this, then it won’t come perhaps at all. Also, speak up with friends & family. They are often willing to listen even if your head is saying “they will think weird of me”. You can do this guys 💪🏻
@@musiclassica who do you think you are I am? Be honest maaaaan, u didn’t know things mentioned in the video? Content like this is to kill time and. I thing more…
@@RedRumble14 As if information gathered equals information output. You need triggers to motivate or move yourself. Everyone does, this just isn't yours.
Joey is just a chill ass dude I like listening to. Your positive attitude makes a lot of our stressful days better dude. Thank you for your work and know you’re making a difference in the world.
Totally agree with “put more effort into my appearance.” I’m sure most people initially interpret this advice like, “lose weight” or “buy new clothes”, but it doesn’t have to be like that. Sometimes it’s me putting on makeup and doing my hair, even though I work from home, because it makes me feel put together. You can also interpret this advice like “put more effort into yourself”, like caring about what you eat, not mindlessly eating. Taking more than a minute to dress yourself. Keeping your space tidy.
All I got to say is that the key to happiness and well-being is gratitude. This is exactly why long walks alone with ur thoughts like he talks abt r helpful is bc like he says he can focus on what to accomplish today and becomes thankful for the opportunities given to him. Simple daily gratitude practices and sustaining a sense of gratefulness is the best thing u can do for mental health. Meditation is another good example.
Completely confirmed, I've been doing that habits every day & my live has changed 180° Along I do more exercise, my body rejects more toxic substances I used to do as alcohol, weed, ecstasy etc. I am drinking lots of water every day, I even don't fap nor going to parties. I am reading digital minimalism, getting out social media, reading atomic habits. I feel so powerful as never in my life, there's no return back to my bad habits. I am looking for focus, creativity, I am in another level of maturity as I am getting closer to be 30 years old. I am becoming more antisocial, or "social minimalist". Looking for well-being has being the best decision I've ever made in recent years.
I am severely depressed right now. I'm off work with no direction or purpose. I wake up every day after midday and play video games until 4am. I don't leave my house and I neglect my own health, relationships and environment. I live off takeaways I can't afford because I'm in debt. I don't brush my teeth or hair or shower Right now, things are dauntingly bad. I want to live, but struggle to find the energy to get myself out of this misery. I'm not religious, but can't help but feel like your channel randomnly popping up on my recommended was divine intervention. I will set an alarm tomorrow and go outside when I wake up and feel the sun on my face. Thank you for the kindness and love you put into the world, you are saving lives.
@@Awesomenes4L So, so much better, thank you for the kind words! I started exercising regularly, I'm doing well in work, and I started on some meds which honestly changed my life. It's almost jarring to see this mindset I was in only 8 months ago!
"Pet a cat when you encounter one on the street" is by far my biggest lesson/rule I've ever incorporated in my life. Its okay to be cliché at times, yeah life's not a movie. But who says you can't enjoy the sun with a cat on your lap and a cup of sweet tea? You'll be much happier afterwards I'll tell you that. Also, don't worry about the past and try not to worry too much about the future, try to enjoy your present. After all, it's okay to be happy. You're allowed to be happy.
I recently found out there's a term for these nature walks - "Awe Walks". It's been researched on and apparently it's to induce the child like "awe" when we discover the beauty while walking along nature trails that really helps us to stay in the moment and uplift our moods. Such great tips for self care here! Thank you!
People have been calling this shit hiking for decades. Or just “a walk in the woods.” Not everything needs a fruity-ass nickname. Unless you’re in a national park or something, that’s just an abuse of the word “awe”. You’re in awe at trees and dirt and piles of deer shit? I love the woods, I’ve spent my entire life wandering around in them and I loved it. But they’re not really awe-inspiring
@@themostdiabolicalhater5986 Wow... You're the epitome of your channel... Someone's who is hiking, may not be entirely immersed in the experience when his or her mind is away. That IS hiking. Awe walks are different as you purposefully shift your attention towards the littlest things that which makes you wonder and be curious about. It reveals your level of self awareness. Peace and Light to you.
For me, signing up for music classes at my local community college are how I regularly schedule things that make me feel good. I get to see my friends every week, do something that feeds the musician in me, and I'm constantly learning something new
Hey Joey. Just wanted to say thank you for what you are doing. Most of the self improvement channels are either overly stimulating annoying motivational rants or overly sophisticated and kind of detatched from reality lecture-videos. Your channel is the only one i found on YT which provides useful information while also staying down to earth and relatable. All the while often times being extremely well shot (it really shows how much mastery you have achieved through your hard work) and also quite funny sometimes which makes me come back to your videos very often. Your content has helped me get through some difficult times and gives me hope for a better life in the future. So once again thank you. Now i better get back to my studying!
The thing about dressing well honestly works. Like, i have such a low self-esteem before school started (during quarantine) that when school starts and i started picking clothes where i think i looked good, and ppl even complimented me on, helps make me feel.. more happier, more.. content in life. Somehow. I know, it's so weird but over the course of weeks of dressing in a much nicer way compared to the normal casual outfit i used to do, it helped with my confidence. It finally lifted itself off the ground and im actually more excited to go to school now compared to before. So yeah! It definitely works
Excellent. What I find fascinating is if you have a job you hate you’ll show up and work all day every day, but when you work for yourself that all flies out the window. That’s a major problem for me, I get easily distracted. In the past 6 months if I just worked on myself for 8 hours a day 5 days a week I be a totally different more accomplished person right now. That thought really pisses me off. Will I change that paradigm starting first thing tomorrow morning? I doubt it, but Im gonna try ... again.
@@floydsmithjr7999 What if you turned up and worked on yourself and your job for 3 hours a day? Probably more achievable and will probably have substantial effects. You can do it mate, 100%. Just remember tho, RUclips is entertainment, a distraction. If you have everything you need, do you need to have everything you want?
@@floydsmithjr7999 Looks like your problem is to just.. start. And the other big problem is that you're starting way too big, build it up, one small habit at a time, do that, focus on that, for example, try meditate or exercise for 5 minutes a day, until you feel like you can consistently start doing that, add in another habit, like taking a walk, journalling, learning a new language, whatever it is that you like, just one at a time. This is a lifetime process, take as much time as you need. In a year, you'll look back to how far you've come and how motivated you are to keep going. Edit: don't expect to see big results in a month or two, just focus on the journey. Good luck soldier. You got this.
@@khytron06 You’re 100% right. It says I posted that comment 9 months ago. 3 or 4 months ago I got so overwhelmed I started breaking everything down to it’s most fundamental action, like “slow is fast”, if you cant do it slow, you’ll never be able to do it fast. Then there’s patience. I think you have to, in a way, get into your subconscious that time is an illusion, a manmade construct. You can’t control time, it moves on with you or without you. Simplify everything, “less is more”. When you get to the point where you’re ready to give up, nothing is changing, you feel hopeless, that’s the breaking point, if you quit all your work will be lost, but if you push through that point it will all break open for you, but you’ve got to be patient, you don’t know when that will happen, it may be a couple of weeks, it may be years, “The only way to insure failure is to quit”. All these truisms are just that, true. I’ll add one, if no one else has said it yet, “Life becomes simple when you make it simple”🧐
One of the most important habits (& I still slip) is getting the right amount of sleep. I can go disturbing my sleep for about 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks, life becomes too exhausting. Good video Joey!
There's nothing more attractive than a person who takes care of themselves for THEM and not for anyone else. This is step one and the rest will follow. Great video - very inspiring!
I am learning that 'feeling good' must be an inner state of mind...safe from the vagaries of the outside world. Fired without sufficient cause from a job of ten years recently, I took some comfort in knowing that I could not only sustain my inner calm (albeit with a few low moments) but could actually rely on it! It has been one month of going forward; and even though I am pleased to have come through this with an even-keeled mindset...I do look forward to, and am starting to feel the pull of, once again being enthusiastic!
Honestly, I'd like to see a more in-depth video on the "restoring order" checklist. What's good to put on it? What's not? Stuff like literal housekeeping is obvious, but what about the not-so-obvious stuff, like one's social life? How do you tackle the things like that when breaking them down to put on the list?
I hope he does too but in the meantime you might like rowena tsai’s channel. She’s a typical toxic positivity hustle culture type imo, which is often too unhealthy, but a lot of her videos show off different ways to do exactly this
Your content hits in a way that no other self-help channel does. That's a compliment to you and a bit of a sad point on my end, because I can't get enough of it. Your choice of words, your angle on common topics, and the way you deliver them are all so genuine and relatable. I wish there were others that had a similar style. It's like you understand what your viewers are thinking, and you mold your cadence and tone to ensure that it cuts through the typical depressive and cynical mindset they likely have. We run similar stacks. Also, I used your link to purchase some healthy green stuff. Doesn't hurt to give it a shot and give back to a channel that's helped me out as much as yours has.
I've been going though a tough time in my life, and been going on walks everyday for a few min. And sit down and think of the aspects of my life, and type in things that I do everyday, as well as things I want to improve on. Which has helped me to get on with the things that do everyday, as I check my calendar on my phone to see what there is to do
It's war in my country right now and I feel a little bit better after this video. Can't wait to use your advices in peacfull times (hope it will be soon). Thank you.
You are an Angel in my life, and I truly mean that. Over the last couple weeks, I’ve discovered your channel and dove into your wisdom. Your guidance feels like it’s specifically for me only. It’s personal. You’re answering questions I’ve asked the universe through tears in my car at 10pm. You are a fucking GIFT. Beyond a gift. I love and thank you.
I'm totally agree with your third point. That is actually what I do in order to feel good about myself, but for the longest time, I didn't know how to put it into words and explain it to others. I even felt embarrassed for paying attention on my appearance because I thought it was the wrong way to strive for the better. You video cleared out my worries, thank you so much!
I watched this video only now, but I've been implementing a similar rule to the first one (get out when you wake up, before you get to look at your phone) and it's absolutely transformative. My rule is "delay your phone, computer, tv, electronics usage for an hour after waking up. Avoid reading too if possible. After this hour do your plan for the day, then start with your most important task". I'm doing only the delaying part for now though XD. I started occupying the first hour of time by cleaning the house, but I progressed quite naturally to walks. I now love to go on a walk close to my wake up time (the closer the better, but for now is usually after breakfast). It's just peaceful and I noticed I'm not that compulsive with my internet usage, even during the day. I'm quite positive that it will progress almost naturally into "doing the most important thing", but I have to find what's the most important thing before that happens.
I really love that point of restoring order to things in life. Not sure on your spirituality, but there's something deeper there that feels really meaningful. Thanks for the insight!
I used to plan my outfits for college every night for the following day, always aimed to make a new combo out of items I owned and avoid re-wearing outfits, genuinely at that time I felt my best but now I'm in a slump and wear the same black jeans and hoodie daily, definitely putting effort into how you look really helps mentally, but its hard to find the motivation at the same time.
Yes! I hate the whole "decision fatigue so you wear the same outfit everyday" thing self help community came up with, i tried it and it just made my slump worse
@@bella-iu7bl I think it depends a lot on the reasons you do it. Having your everyday clothes be something you feel stunning and powerful in (and comfortable) should be the main objective. If you find joy in styling differently everyday, then that's a good part of your routine, but if you struggle to do that and tend to "panic" and feel exhausted by having to choose then the "uniform" style might be good.
I actually fully agree with the appearance thing. It actually brings my mood down all the time having to start my day off by getting in my gross work uniform. I atleast try to keep my face clean and hair done up. It helps
i completely relate to this comment. Many times my overall appearance and my body dampens my mood significantly to the point where i don’t even want to go out or do anything. and it’s hard to overcome. but lately i been trying to not care what i look like and just do things that i enjoy.
I’ve been suffering from sciatica lately, all the pros who have treated me, all suggested walking would be a great benefit to me. I’m starting to think the sciatica happened as an alarm clock to GET me to take care of my body and definitely walk more! Perspective does wonders. Thanks for the video I really enjoy it!
Great advice! I go to a new cafe once a week to break up my patterns, I upgraded my fashion after turning 35 and it boosted my confidence tenfold, and I start my day with something I love doing in order to get myself out of bed and start my day well.
1-- Go out and get some fresh air immediately after getting up 2--Do things once a week that you enjoy 3--Your subconscious is looking at you and you can change a little bit by changing some things 4--Fix your other parts of life and keep record
These are good ideas, I wish I could partake. I live in a part of Canada with terrible winters. It was -35 until last week. It swarmed up now but we still having 4 feet of snow. This winter has been much colder and much longer than normal. I've struggled a lot this winter because I was only going outside out of necessity due to the weather.
I love how genuine and the openness you do. It calls my attention and inspires me to get up and put my shit together in a simple way. Just what I needed.
Dude, what a perfect contribution. If I were Joey, or a content creator of some kind and someone actually took a minute to say that to me, I would feel like the work I was doing was all worth it. Thank you for your kindness. Although it wasn't meant for me, I was still touched by your sincerity. Muchlove, suki
been reading "breath" by james nestor. breathing slowly and only through my nose and making sure to use my diaphragm to fully exhale has made a HUGE difference. extra info: i meditate every morning and follow the advice of exhaling slowly from my nose, imagining a lead ball slowly moving down and pushing the air out of my lungs, then simply allowing my diaphragm to bring the air back in automatically. slowly, my breathing becomes deeper and slower and i focus on relaxing and feeling energy and presence in my body. when i'm done, i try to continue that breathing pattern, or maybe reduce my inhale to half a lungful. i've definitely noticed i feel more vitality throughout the day. do your own research and experimentation, but i've definitely noticed that being more conscious of my breath makes me feel better
It's bizarre man. I swear every video is perfectly timed for me. When I'm feeling in a rut you post a video about that. I've been feeling truly great lately and I'm happy to hear you are too
Good timing :) I’ve been feeling burnt out from my job & running my business every night after coming home in a repetitive cycle. This is definitely giving me the confidence to keep going in a healthier way
I would love to listen to the podcast you mentioned. You have such a calm and clear voice. The way you phrase things and explain different concepts are also extremely helpful.
Absolute masterclass, hope i can adapt and finally feel more motivation and enthusiasm in my life. Also, how is it with shipping merch to europe? Greetings from Germany and a nice day!
Very good... This stood out: "Things in life I have autonomy over".... yes! As a person who's had some stellar phases and some heavy blows over several decades... I can safely say that phrase in quotes is a wise entry to transformative power. For each of us it's different, what those 'things' are, in that it depends on what we've neglected, let slide, pile up, or tangent. But yeah...' things I have autonomy over' ARE the spots to reassess and work on. The fact is also that, whatever one's unique obstacles are (some are not so fixable), working on the ones you CAN make progress on will be enough to change the scenario and open up unforeseen options. Lists help with that initially overwhelming start. Just making the list freaks me out but once done, following isn't so bad. Good habits form as easily as bad ones.
Recently I've started praying at the end of each day or whenever I'm extremely anxious/upset (giving thanks, not asking for stuff) and measured my heart rate before and after. For me, the effect of prayer is as physiologically potent as a meditation session. I guess in a sense, that's what it is.
"Giving it more air time" I like that because I feel like a lot of people are in pursuit of something more. Of consistent happiness or some sense that comes over you and doesn't leave. No, life ain't like that. Truly, all you can do is put yourself in as good of a position as you can and reap the rewards. Life will always have suffering, but it is filled with beauty like no other and doing these things allow you to more easily see those beauties that make you feel lucky to be alive.
I like to think of the 'list to restore order' as my blueprint to life to return back to when things has been turbulent at times. Basically it helps me with my emotional resilience. Maybe that's a different way of looking at it when in doubt if your list is setting you up for failure. It also reminds me of the ACT matrix. Great video as always!
Going outside, especially in the morning, and training has been my way out of depression, too. Also anxiety. I can't stand to do it in these freezing mornings, but I'm running in my lunch break nowadays exactly for this reason. I'm a simple person. My mood is directly proportional to the amount of sun and exercise that I get.
You're great man. I watched this twice so that I could write this "list of 5" in my little black book that I take everywhere that has everything I need to know and keep up on every day. Thanks
I really appreciate you for talking about outward appearance… I’m a fashion designer and I have found lots of comfort in appear true to how I would like… I think there’s a level of positivity to looking a way in which you like

The dignity aspect of how you physically present to the world being a reflection of what's inside really struck a cord. Damn that's so true. Since the insane hike in electricity and gas, I've been wearing thick, baggy track suits to keep warm and so not need to put on the heating. And, to be fair there are now times when it's not too cold and I'm still wearing the same old crap! It doesn't make me feel great. And I don't even need to buy new clothes (ok, most of us won't be doing that for a long, long time!) I have plenty of attractive tops and dresses now. So, I consider my arse slapped, thanks Joey, you're right, I need to get back some feel good dignity by making an effort with my appearance like I used to. Lipstick rocks
Watched two videos of ypur channel today. Actually made now motivated to get things done and go for a walk and exercise. Youre just giving a little push to do good things that make you feel better. Thank you!
Loved the video. Keep a list to restore order, great idea, especially because you divide it out into categories, to me the comfort in that idea is that there’s a plan for each area, means my life is not random Willy-Nilly. The satisfaction is in the journey, it’s not an exercise in ‘just checking off boxes’. It restores order and gives you a direction. Love the go outside and take a deep breath of fresh air I’m going to implement that!
I'm sitting on the couch, eating cake, watching a video titled "5 Habits That Make You Feel Incredible." Turns out neither sitting on the couch or eating cake is one of the habits.
I love the way you don't edit the mistakes or awkward parts and find humor in those. You really seem to be confortable with yourlself, that's actually why I belive in what you're saying. Hugs from Bogotá, Colombia😊
While coaching today, this question came up: What if the most powerful gift you can give the world is staying in your own energy? So often we live our lives looking outside of ourselves: for validation, to tend to others needs, to shift how we’re showing up to try and “help” those around us…but what if, our greatest service begins with self-attunement? (i.e. tap into the source of energy within us?) Still your mind. Move your body. Breathe. Show Up. Repeat. x
Man I recently discovered your channel and you've reinforced all the shit Ive been thinking about and helped me take that final step to actually do shit. Thanks m8
Joey, can you share your bullet journal lists to give some ideas? I know this will be different for everyone but it would be handy to see someone else’s to get ideas! 😊
The looks/appearance point applies to me. I know many people feel different about it. There are people who couldn’t care less about the way they dress, or they don’t appreciate a good outfit as I do. Dressing up, even if it’s for a quick picture or just because, definitely elevates my confidence, mood and performance. Whether it be playing a video game or doing schoolwork, I feel as if my performance is enhanced when I take the time to put on a good outfit. It’s something I’ve been trying to implement more into my life, but I just like walking around with joggers, some random shirt and sandals lol
I want to share things that I did to make my mental health, better. one is, I cut off friends who are toxic and not making my mood better. All friends that was left now are my friends in highschool. I limit my phone screen and I read books to improve my reading comprehension. I write positive talk in the morning in my journal. I meditate for 5 mins, there's a lot of guided meditation in youtube. I exercise of atleast 10 mins. I keep it atleast 10 because burnt out will be slapping me again if I did more than that. I sleep at 11 but sometimes later than that. And that's something I want to change. I don't exercise regularly tho but If I do it 3 times a week I am good. Depression can be cripling and changing your bad habits to good ones is the best thing to do. Tho sometimes I still feel miserable but Ill just keep praticing good habits. it's just practice
Awesome video and such a great timing. I've been on the "health improvement" path myself for some time now and 3 weeks ago started going out on morning walks. I was very hyped to hear you mentioning it as a first thing on your list too, because I think this obvious habit doesn't get nearly enough deserved credit. I also don't know whether it is the working out, the walks, healthier food or the combination of all the above - but even though I'm getting pretty much same amount of sleep as I used to, I suddenly stopped having energy crash in the middle of the day and stopped feeling the need for more than 1 cup of coffee daily, which I anyway drink mostly for the flavour and for the ritual of brewing the coffee beans.
I actually did the 3rd one about appearance when I fell in love with a new style of clothing. I feel so much better about myself and so much more confident and stuff. I didn't do it because I was insecure but because the clothes were pretty (even tho my self-esteem isn't very high and I'm a shy person almost by nature) XD I genuinely feel much better now that I switched from baggy clothes to light academia style, it just feels good XD I should start doing the other things too tho XD
The walk in the morning is definitely a game-changer. I do this naturally because I have a dog that has to go potty but just smelling the fresh air and listening to the birds is awesome.
There's a book called Hidden Time Wealth, and it talks about how using some secret techniques, you can overcome procrastination and accomplish anything in life. It's not just a bunch of empty promises; it's the real deal.
Ur right on . I really do need this . I guess I’ve been waiting for video like this specially, from somebody like yourself has been through this thank you
One of the best things I like about your videos is your sense of humour Joey. It's as cool as it gets! This one about libido and that shrugging afterwards was simply hilarious man, thanks :)
the "but I feel great" at around 11:50 was legit the funniest thing about the whole video 😂 man, Joey, thanks for this video. you've outdone yourself again 🙏
I find that making entertainment sources background to your daily life is really awesome. the main thing you do on daily average is something worthwhile, and games, movies, videos, are background. it also makes that stuff way more valued for me.
Sometimes I have the feeling you’re the only one that helps me that has an adorably weird humor. I’m pretty grateful for having the possibility to watch your videos, be inspired and being able to make my ideas become projects and projects become reality.
It's been over a year or almost a year, since the last time I felt good. So much has happened in that time but I'm trying my best and I think that's all I can offer right now.
A friend asked me this recently and I cried when I realised it was 5 years ago. And I didn’t. even. know. I am also trying my best. And trying to retrain my brain to value joy more. We got this. Sending love and warmth.
This is the best RUclips channel I have encountered thus far. I have one question. Is your voice naturally this clear? Sound quality is impressive. Thank you for your content
As for tip number 2 ,to do something you like once a week, I find it the hardest . I don't really know what I like. I mean , one of my only hobbies is gaming on my pc and I try to limit that as much as I can and not go overboard , like playing 20 hours a week or even more like I used to , keeping in mind that I'm in 11th grade. It's kind of depressing . I don't know what to do after high school and even my spare time feels like a chore of some kind , I don't really enjoy it , I just pass the time.
i never liked these kinds of videos.. but watching one from time to time does give a short boost to your overall morale and gives a new perspective so i will subscribe
Its really painful just trying to change my daily habits. its gonna be extremely difficult but I have to do for the better. I hate doing nothing all day.
You got this. It’s hard, but it is possible to change. People that work hard get the most rewards, and trust me, feeling like you tried your best and worked hard is 100x more satisfying than getting temporary pleasure like food or video games etc. There’s a lot of things in our lives that try to bring us down and keep our attention, but that wastes us. Work hard, be awesome, you got this.

It's not a linear path, but I'm rooting for you and I hope you find acceptance and what you're looking for.
how are you doing now?
I’m sorry for your loss, but remember, you gotta keep moving. Ofc I don’t know, but I bet your dad would not be happy knowing his passing hurt you so much.
I hope you found some healing & peace. I lost my father 2 months ago. He was in perfect health & it was so sudden that I'm still struggling to accept it. I feel you.
I lost my Dad about a year ago now also. It gets better day by day. Just remember to let yourself feel what you feel. I don't think we'll ever stop missing them, but it will and does get easier as time passes. Wishing you a good journey in healing and getting back to yourself 👍
the 3rd habit is so true… when i look good, i feel more confident and have less anxiety, therefore my mood is better
Summary:
1. Get out for some minutes immediately after standing up
2. Do something you like once a week
3. Dress nicely to be confident of how you look
4. Daily bullet journal of things that you keep in order (household etc)
5. Work out, eat and drink healthy things

“Im not forcing you to make your bed everyday but just try it, walking into your room and seeing a neatly packaged bed will make you feel a whole lot better”
To this day 20 something years later its the first thing he does every day, and he thanks me for it.
I think making your bed is the dumbest thing ever. You mess it up again every single night, you see it only when you sleep and you're the only one who does see it. If you're not the only one who sees it, then the bed is sure going to be messed up anyway.
@@JaysonT1 ……. Just try it
@@JaysonT1I agree with you.

Completely confirmed, I've been doing that habits every day & my live has changed 180°
Along I do more exercise, my body rejects more toxic substances I used to do as alcohol, weed, ecstasy etc.
People have been calling this shit hiking for decades. Or just “a walk in the woods.” Not everything needs a fruity-ass nickname. Unless you’re in a national park or something, that’s just an abuse of the word “awe”. You’re in awe at trees and dirt and piles of deer shit?

I doubt it, but Im gonna try ... again.
well said
@@floydsmithjr7999 What if you turned up and worked on yourself and your job for 3 hours a day?
When you get to the point where you’re ready to give up, nothing is changing, you feel hopeless, that’s the breaking point, if you quit all your work will be lost, but if you push through that point it will all break open for you, but you’ve got to be patient, you don’t know when that will happen, it may be a couple of weeks, it may be years,
“The only way to insure failure is to quit”.
All these truisms are just that, true.
I’ll add one, if no one else has said it yet,
“Life becomes simple when you make it simple”🧐
after having a particularly low day, this video came in at a perfect time, thank you for sharing
Journaling is definitely something that has been a game changer for me. 🙌
Honestly, I'd like to see a more in-depth video on the "restoring order" checklist. What's good to put on it? What's not?
Thanks for the insight!

extra info:
i meditate every morning and follow the advice of exhaling slowly from my nose, imagining a lead ball slowly moving down and pushing the air out of my lungs, then simply allowing my diaphragm to bring the air back in automatically. slowly, my breathing becomes deeper and slower and i focus on relaxing and feeling energy and presence in my body. when i'm done, i try to continue that breathing pattern, or maybe reduce my inhale to half a lungful. i've definitely noticed i feel more vitality throughout the day.

Thanks
I really appreciate you for talking about outward appearance… I’m a fashion designer and I have found lots of comfort in appear true to how I would like… I think there’s a level of positivity to looking a way in which you like
"Walk outside and let the sun hit you" laughs in uk
Thank you!
That dopamine hit whenever Better Ideas uploads 🙌🏻
@David Smith - as if you did not know that fact already. Supposed to be "funny"? (Not!)
@@warriormanmaxx8991 Something tells me you're a tool, "WarriorMan." 😆
@@warriormanmaxx8991actually it was hilarious…

Thanks m8
The morning walk thing is legit. Using my phone first thing in the morning is terrible. Always always go for a morning walk.
Joey, can you share your bullet journal lists to give some ideas? I know this will be different for everyone but it would be handy to see someone else’s to get ideas! 😊
your content always hits different. much love brother keep up the good work🖤
Such a practical, effective list. Very thoughtfully and compassionately presented.
„Don‘t juice.“
I love your combination of humor and self improvement.
As the classic saying goes, look good, feel good. 👍🏼
I absolutely loved every single time you said "I feel great". Loved the video, great to know your'e happy. Lots of love mate....❤
8:41 "I'm bad at allegories today, BUT I feel great!" loving the energy man😂I'll experiment with these nd hopefully it'll help, thanks
Looking nice is like energy vampirism. You can literally feel how you get energised through other peoples positive reactions- or even their jealousy
You should start a podcast. I think so many of us would totally listen to it!
Watching this today. Absolutely the right message at the right time. Thank you
There's a book called Hidden Time Wealth, and it talks about how using some secret techniques, you can overcome procrastination and accomplish anything in life.

This one about libido and that shrugging afterwards was simply hilarious man, thanks :)
the "but I feel great" at around 11:50 was legit the funniest thing about the whole video 😂
man, Joey, thanks for this video. you've outdone yourself again 🙏
14:04 and this too 😅
I find that making entertainment sources background to your daily life is really awesome. the main thing you do on daily average is something worthwhile, and games, movies, videos, are background. it also makes that stuff way more valued for me.
Sometimes I have the feeling you’re the only one that helps me that has an adorably weird humor. I’m pretty grateful for having the possibility to watch your videos, be inspired and being able to make my ideas become projects and projects become reality.
Really good videos! That segway into the video sponsor is one of the best I have seen and others could learn from that. Sounded natural and realistic.
I don't know what to do after high school and even my spare time feels like a chore of some kind , I don't really enjoy it , I just pass the time.
i never liked these kinds of videos.. but watching one from time to time does give a short boost to your overall morale and gives a new perspective
so i will subscribe
Its really painful just trying to change my daily habits. its gonna be extremely difficult but I have to do for the better. I hate doing nothing all day.
You got this. It’s hard, but it is possible to change. People that work hard get the most rewards, and trust me, feeling like you tried your best and worked hard is 100x more satisfying than getting temporary pleasure like food or video games etc. There’s a lot of things in our lives that try to bring us down and keep our attention, but that wastes us. Work hard, be awesome, you got this.
How's it been going? Any notable progress?
Me encanta tu video, gracias por ser responsable y enviar a tus seguidores donde profesionales de la salud, estaba viéndolos para repasar inglés pero ahora soy tu nueva seguidora, excelente contenido❤
